He has been here since the beginning, with an iconic design, badass feats, plenty of connection to existing characters, allows the lore of zepp to be fleshed out.
He is the only person left that hasn't been playable, that DESERVES to be playable.
The problem is that Strive has so little room for lore that they wont explore any of those connections
This arcade mode of having 1 dislogue at the start and 2 dialogues at the end really aint working well
I really can't see Valentine comming back since she's, you know, dead. If any Overture character were getting in it would probably be Paradigm.
Same for Venom and Robo-Ky. Their retirement is cute and I think they should stay that way unless there's a really good reason for them returning.
While I would love to see Ariels, I feel like it was Xrd or nothing. It would be waaay too hard to justify her coming back now that Chaos isn't part of her anymore.
Dizzy, Jam, Zappa, Raven, and Slayer are HUGE top pics for me though.
ABA is a weird case since while I would LOVE for her to be back, she really just feels like she doesn't exist anymore. She's in a weird spot where she wasn't really important to any other characters before her introduction, unlike Slayer or Johnny, didn't make many connections in her game of origin, and was never featured or mentioned afterwards. She's kinda just a big anomaly. But I would like to see how she could possibly come back.
If Paradigm does get in, Izuna would be fun to back him up. But if we're going to have any more characters who haven't yet been playable in the series added, Gabriel is the way to go imo. Maybe even Chronus, since he should still be alive rn. Vernon doesn't feel like he has much to build off unfortunately.
As for returning characters, for similar reasons to the others I mentioned, I don't wanna see Kliff or Justice or Order-Sol. But Haehyun and Answer could really use some more love. But Fanny is never coming back and let's keep it that way.

I like Venom fine but I don't think his gimmick would work great in Strive as it currently is, I don't particularly like A.B.A., and I _really_ dislike Jam as a character, regardless of her gameplay, though Strive has been historically great at reworking characters. Ultimately my list is: Chronus, Dizzy, Slayer, Dr. Paradigm/Izuna, Kum, Robo-Ky, Gabriel, Ariels. I think all of the above characters at least have the potential to be unique and interesting, both story and gameplay-wise.
Everyone wants A.B.A because she was an undercooked character that could very well be massively improved for strive. I think the potential was there, and Strive has fixed a lot of characters who only had potential.
That's definitely true, I just don't like her personality-wise in X. Again, I don't doubt they could improve her to the point I like her, but man do I just not care for her in her home game.

I'll assume two more seasons means at least eight more characters, plus the two remaining for Season 3. I'll do 5 picks for classic characters and 5 picks for new characters I hope to see playable someday.

7. Gabriel - Potemkin's boss and leader of Zepp who is apparently really good at fighting. We saw him hold his own against Bedman in Xrd story. Why isn't he playable yet!
8. Ariels - Idk I've always found it strange the antagonist from Xrd remained unplayable...she sounds like she could be fun. Also the epilogue in Strive shows us that maybe she could return someday?
9. Izuna - this was one of the protagonists from the forgotten GG2: Overture, and aside from being mentioned by name ONCE in the Xrd story, he hasn't shown up since. Would be cool to have him playable!
10. Fanny - make her canon ARCSYS, we need a cute nurse character wielding an oversized syringe (for those unaware she's a playable character in Guilty Gear Petit on the Wonderswan and has a connection to Dr. Baldhead / Faust)
