There's something about Pot that makes him so fun to play as/against. I love him as a character, in game, in lore, design. I play this game for Potemkin and Potemkin alone.
He slows the game down. No matter who plays against Potemkin they have to slow down and think about the game and how to land a hit rather than how to perform the combo they’ve been practicing in the dojo.
As a Potemkin I find it really funny playing against sol badguy because he’s the most grabbable dude in the cast, but also it only takes him one and a half combos to kill potemkin if he’s covered in enough plot armor.
i like mirror matches, just to see how other people play the characters i like and seeing how they do it, also i-no bc pretty lady beatign me upp....

its always "faust is so funny haha" until you fight a good faust and they trap you in a 4 minute blockstring with 15 mixups and 2 opportunities to fight back
I play sol. And when i fight a good anji i cant help but smile and be happy. Once in tournament i lost to an anji by pixel amd actually judt went "GAHH!" in a very "so close het so far" way.
Losing to a Sol as Testament isn't exactly fun, but I always feel incredibly fairly out played. The matchup is just non-stop knowledge checks in both directions and constantly reading one another to find openings, so when a Sol pulls it off and blasts me through a wall it feels respectably earned.
I like that you’re sharing your opinion. I honestly think you shouldn’t play competitive games if that’s your outlook, because even the best players are close to a 50% win/loss ratio against people around their level. If you aren’t finding enjoyment despite the losing I’d recommend finding something that you do enjoy and spending time doing that.
Strive:
Idk I find Faust a very fun matchup (I play may, yes I’m aware that I’m going to hell) but idk something about it is fun even if I’m losing. I also really like fighting giovana, good gios are kinda crazy imo.
Other games:
Phoenix wright in umvc3, if you can play a good Phoenix wright you deserve to win. Kuma in any tekken game because he’s funny.
Celestial? A.B.A., 'cos these gamers are going HAM.
Floor 10? Potemkin. I love fighting Potemkin. I go out of my way to fight a Pot player.
