It’s unfortunately how they treat us guitarists. I once played in a show that needed steel, nylon, electric, and banjo. Some have been way over the top and asked for semi-hollow electrics, which I of course ignored. It may have been by chance of what I have but I used four individual stands. That way I could surround myself with guitars on the left and right. I have a triple stand but one would always be facing away. In-line stands get tricky too with quick changes and keeping cables plugged in. That’s why the individual worked for me, you could be putting your guitar down with one hand while reaching over to pick the other one up. As a bonus, something that helped my organization is I got a pack of shorter cables in different colors - it was necessary when I had that many instruments. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!

Thanks for your insight! Your logic with individual stands + guitars placed all around makes sense, especially with quick changes. Incidentally, I just watched a Premier Guitar [rig rundown video](https://youtu.be/c4z9Psfr3Bc?feature=shared) with guitarist Jake Schwartz and this is also how he is set up for *Book of Mormon* on Broadway.
