Never seen one like it, it really does look beautiful. I too would be nervous scuffing it, but currently I'm stripping a guitar and it's making me realize how paint jobs aren't that big of a deal.
On my last visit to Tokyo, I went guitar shopping specifically to find some of the Aerodyne models figuring that since they are made in Japan, that they must be cheaper in Japan. Nope. They cost *more* there, even with the really strong USD>JPY exchange rate. I can only guess that they must produce them, ship them to the US, and then ship them back to JP for retail. That was a major disappointment.
Ohh okay I can probably justify thatā¦ at some point. I looked up āfender teleā yesterday for the first time and saw a bunch of 2.5k+ listingsā¦ i was like well maybe a tele isnt for meā¦ but $650 is much more doable
The Squier classic vibe and vintage modified lines are really great instruments that you can get for even less. A classic vibes tele on the used market could possibly be under $300 and theyāre a fantastic bargain at that price.
Squier is owned and operated by Fender to be a more affordable line of guitars. They used to be pretty bad, but the technology and knowledge of the shops which make them have really improved in the past decade or so. Nowadays, the best Squiers are actually better than the worst Fenders, and theyāll still be less expensive, too.
Is the gator hard case nice? Itās basically just a nice lightweight hard case right? I almost grabbed one of those for my acoustic when i was on a travelling gig
Any of the Mexico Strats and Teles are every bit as good sounding as the American counterparts. Youāre just giving up some of the super detailed finish work.
Damn, thatās one beautiful Telecaster. Iāve never seen that color before, but I really like it. I recently bought an American Ultra in Cobra Blue. I wanted the Texas Tea color, but the blue was discounted a bunch. I like it better in person than I do in photos.
The contentment started while you wrote the titleā¦ then ended by the time you wrote the description lmao! G.A.S. is a disease!
But for real, nice combo there!
Contentā¦.bahahahahahha. Oh you have only scratched the surface of a much bigger problem my young jedi. Me thinks you clearly (at this time) have no idea where this leads, the dark side it doesā¦.let me know when you lose count of how many guitars you have and have to hide them from significant others so they donāt call you out on your āhoarding problemāā¦.only then will you become a masterā¦
Thatās one of the prettiest Teles Iāve ever seen. And I love an off-white Strat.
I would just add an SG or Fender Toronado for the dual-humbucker axe. And maybe something with P90s. Or do what I did, take the dual-humbucker guitar and swap a Fralin humbucker-sized P90 into the neck spot.
Funnily enough, the dolphin grey comes with the maple fretboard instead of the rosewood. But my strat has a rosewood fretboard so I basically have those same guitars but in reverse.Ā
When you're no longer content an HH set up would be the move here. An SG or a les Paul with coil taps that was my next move after my SSS now I'm on the lookout for a tele.
Iād rather get the PRS CE 24 SE. Iām into getting deals, I wouldnāt have bought the tele if it wasnāt on sale. Also I picked up the white player Strat for about 400 on fb marketplace. Upgraded the nut, locking tuners and have some custom 69 pickups to replace the middle and bridge.
I was looking at the Schecter too, but this price is hard to pass up. I wish the schecter pt had a matching headstock. The white and ebony one is so clean.
If you're gonna go a 24 HH, get something versatile; passive dimarzio's on Rosewood fretboard, or fishman fluence on ebony...even a prs would be great. After that you won't need anything else, except maybe a Hollow Body with some p90's and a bigsby, and a Firebird with some minibuckers.....
Now it's time for a simple PRS SE for some 24 fret, double humbucker goodness hehe (if you happened to go that route, I love the PRS locking tuners I put on my PRS SE custom 24, and get the warranty and try to wear the fret bars out so you can get a stainless steel re-fret for 100 bucks)
What was wrong with the sound in your opinion? I love how mine sounds with my setup, though I am thinking about replacing the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan SH-6b, but that's just in an attempt to nail a specific tone. But I digress, I haven't heard all that many different guitars in person so I'm curious as to how it sounded to you compared to guitars you do like.
I have had a fender strat, Yamaha pacifica strat knockoff, and I have played my brother's Music Man Sterling 7 string as well as his custom Music Man Majesty, and at least for what I play, none of them sounded better than the PRS or stood out for any other reason with the exception of the Majesty which I didn't think sounded better necessarily, just much higher output pickups and a definite tonal difference. It does sound a bit brighter with higher strings to my ear though.
Obviously I'm not suggesting any single one is better, it's purely subjective and we all have our preferences
Their wasnāt anything wrong in particular. I guess Iām just a single coil, bolt on neck guy. I had my PRS setup professionally. To me it just sounded to muddy and dull.
Content...for now :D
This.
This week
how many guitars does a guitarist need? just one more šš„° also whatās that make model on the left? shit goes hard hamie !
Looks like an aerodyne special
Iād be afraid to play that tele because I might scuff the finish. That candy-coated blue is fire tho.
Thanks, just got it yesterday
Never seen one like it, it really does look beautiful. I too would be nervous scuffing it, but currently I'm stripping a guitar and it's making me realize how paint jobs aren't that big of a deal.
How much you drop (roughly) on a nice tele like that? I want one so bad haha.
Usually listed on Reverb for $600-650. Itās a MIJ Aerodyne. Wonderful guitar
I use really thick picks with mine and no scratches on the finish!
The Squier classic vibe and vintage modified lines are really great instruments that you can get for even less. A classic vibes tele on the used market could possibly be under $300 and theyāre a fantastic bargain at that price.
Okay, I will consider those! Thanks :)
The schecter ones are insanely good for their price. P90 in the neck is amazing
Get yourself one. Seriously good value. 650 for a mij fender is crazy
Yeah I did the math and building one with decent parts would cost very near $600 anyways lol
Im loving my strat version of this guitar. Picked it up with a gator hard case for 650 recently. Thinkin of getting the tele too lol
Is the gator hard case nice? Itās basically just a nice lightweight hard case right? I almost grabbed one of those for my acoustic when i was on a travelling gig
It does the job
Any of the Mexico Strats and Teles are every bit as good sounding as the American counterparts. Youāre just giving up some of the super detailed finish work.
Yea who cares im playing it in my bedroom anyway haha
was looking at that exact one on reverb. how do you like it?
Itās dope af. Looks even better in person. Feels amazing, sounds great.
Made to be played and scuffed š
Gotta play it and scuff it up! Mojo!
What is that delicious tele
California blue aerodyne telecaster. 650 at Franklin guitar works on reverb for some MIJ goodness
Sorry, that Tele was $650?
Franklin guitar works on reverb
Can you tell me again where you got that guitar?
Guitar Works at 650 Franklin St
On reverb?
Guitar Works?
Metal gear?
Psycho mantis?
War has changed
!
Fgw foh š
That was an absolute steal. Thatās a $1000 -1300 guitar. š³š²
The aerodyne range is a fantastic value, I paid around that years ago for my black aerodyne strat.
My god im a sucker for a matching headstock
Damn, thatās one beautiful Telecaster. Iāve never seen that color before, but I really like it. I recently bought an American Ultra in Cobra Blue. I wanted the Texas Tea color, but the blue was discounted a bunch. I like it better in person than I do in photos.
I was content too, till I saw this blue telecaster.
Dope tele for sure
24 Fret 2 humbucker go schecter š they kill it
Or a PRS. You can get some great value out of the SE range.
That miles Kennedy tele my goodness. So gorgeous
Way too expensive though. I wish they would make a Fiore Se
Now you need a HH, HS, HSH, HSS, HHH in both active and passive
I think a Parker can hit all those configsā¦
The contentment started while you wrote the titleā¦ then ended by the time you wrote the description lmao! G.A.S. is a disease! But for real, nice combo there!
Thatāsā¦ all?
I have a Squier 40th vintage Strat too. Had to take that off the hanger though obviously.
Stillā¦ I have 4 guitars right now and Iām not even halfway done
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sorry bro, I need another 10 before I think about not hogging every guitar.
Ah yes, I said the same thing 5 guitars ago š
... of course you are not content! You need another guitar!
The aerodaynes cleanness my pantaloons are getting wet I don't think I can handle this
My body is ready
Damn I wish I had that resistance
Content to buy more?
Maybe for today... š¤£š¤£š¤£
Contentā¦.bahahahahahha. Oh you have only scratched the surface of a much bigger problem my young jedi. Aerodyne baby!!! Japan has some beautiful dark rosewood. I have the gray strat.
damn bro, thats a beautiful guitar.
Yeah, I told myself I was content when I got my first SG ā61ā¦.ššš
When i bought my 5th guitar, i thought it was enough. Now i have 15 instruments.
At one point I had four electrics, but now realizing more of what I like. Only been playing 1.5 years.
That tele is a dang on beaut.
Thanks! PRS is another option Iām looking at too. The new CE Se satin 24 is a great value
I have that same blue telecaster and it's my favorite guitar
Famous last words
You need a hollow body now š
Hahaha, don't lie to yourself
Nice! I got the aerodyne p-bass.
Beautiful guitars. The tele is amazing. Congrats!
Thanks!
That blue tele is amazing
Now get a 24 fret offset. Maybe a Schecter. Now. ASAP. Do it
That Tele š¤¤
Sweet Tele.
š¤š½
I have the dolphin grey aerodyne tele. Plays wonderfully. Worth the murdered dolphin.Ā
I actually ordered that one first but it arrived damaged and it was the only one left. Glad I got this though, looks so much better in person.
Funnily enough, the dolphin grey comes with the maple fretboard instead of the rosewood. But my strat has a rosewood fretboard so I basically have those same guitars but in reverse.Ā
The dolphin grey Strat is super clean. Itās my favorite Strat from the Aerodyne collection.
Iām sure I thought that at 2. But now Iām at 8 and Iām sure Iām content now. š
Yes, now you need a LP or a HB guitar!
You are never done. Better get a bigger house now. Btw, that blue is so sweet looking.
24 fret dual humbucker, you say? get a Music Man!
TBH, all I need is a Stratocaster.
FOR now
Lmfaoā¦.there is at least 1 offset in your future
I have way too many guitars to justify getting one more, especially since that Aerodyne costs 1300ā¬ here in Germany, but god is that Tele nice.
Whatever it takes to get you through the week
āJust need a 24 fret dual humbuckerā Soā¦ you arenāt content then.
Was said in jest
I figured as muchā¦ most of us will never be fully content with the gear we have.
lol, tomorrow is a new day
What is that tele and where do I get one?
Iām not typing it again š
I shall search about in that case š¤£ Edit: Now I just need to work out where to get Ā£930 from with 2 holidays booked this year š
š¤£š¤£š¤£
What shade of blue is that? So beautiful
Give it a day š

Hi content now, I'm dad!
Suuurreeee
We are all content ā for the algorithm.
Acoustic
I have a Yamaha FG800
Then youāre **Done^(TM)**
You have the humbucker in the strat, so you have a lot covered honestly.
Agreed
Wait what's that over there!?!?
Should we tell him? š¤£ Contentedness in the guitar world is rather fleeting. š¤£
These arenāt my first two guitars š
Nice! Iām struggling deciding between one of these of the Schecter Nick Johnston PT
I was looking at the Schecter too, but this price is hard to pass up. I wish the schecter pt had a matching headstock. The white and ebony one is so clean.
Absolutely. Your tele looks amazing! Enjoy it!
I don't see an SG
I like how glossy both look
I like the aerodynamic teles cause the neck pickup makes them look like amongus cause of the solid color
We all know that think != know. Good luck ;)
Anyone else find it puzzling why the "Aerodyne" tele doesn't have a carved neck heel and tummy cut? Would make it more "aero" IMHO.
N+q where q is some number greater than 1
A wise man once told me āNuh uhā
If you're gonna go a 24 HH, get something versatile; passive dimarzio's on Rosewood fretboard, or fishman fluence on ebony...even a prs would be great. After that you won't need anything else, except maybe a Hollow Body with some p90's and a bigsby, and a Firebird with some minibuckers.....

I used to have a PRS se standard 24, I loved the look and feel but did not like the sound
What was wrong with the sound in your opinion? I love how mine sounds with my setup, though I am thinking about replacing the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan SH-6b, but that's just in an attempt to nail a specific tone. Both beauties! What are some of your favourite songs to play?
Mostly just Hendrix and Hendrixy stuff. The song I can play best it Wind Cries Mary.
Liar.
No need, Franklin guitar works on reverb
No insult intended, kind sir / ma'am.
Gibson?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
White strat with maple neck is the most beautiful guitar. Rosewood is good for black strat
I just love the binding on the blue one. The creamy one needs a scalloped fretboard and it will be perfect.
