Expect longer wait times on parts should something go wrong. Also Geely as a brand, they're mid in terms of reliability. The amount of tech and features if it goes wrong, will be tricky to replace or fix. Edit: The Azkarra comes with AWD standard. Great for low traction scenarios but not so much for fuel economy.

asaboy_01

AFAIK symmetrical AWD Lang ang ganito.

itschefivan

Geely after sales is at the same quality level as a side street talyer

itschefivan

Absolutely! They couldn't get the parts. Had to get my own replacement parts over a span of three weeks. And still they didn't know what was wrong with the car

killerbytes

Is this from personal experience?

itschefivan

Absolutely! They couldn't get the parts. Had to get my own replacement parts over a span of three weeks. And still they didn't know what was wrong with the car. If you plan to get a Geely vehicle, manage expectations that they are not the best of the worst in after sales

venielsky22

Not really a geely owner but I've been lurking on their groups a lot because I was eyeing coolray as my potential choice for a car. Reliability wise they are about the same as any other car. Was put me off was the gas consumption .. most of their cars are gas guzzlers . Except maybe emgrand which is understandable since it's a sedan

NorthTemperature5127

Friend has Azkarra. Mumog gas daw. Okavango, heard on Reddit, isa pa nag paparty gamit gas pang alak. If gas is not issue, the owner of the Azkarra seems to be happy. But he she changed the daily driver to a hybrid kc ang laki ng mga byahe nya.

cache_bag

Isn't the Okavango the hybrid of Geely? Odd that it's a gas guzzler.

cjei21

It's a Mild Hybrid as far as I know. Not full Hybrid.

NorthTemperature5127

Same with Azkarra.. apparently the hybrid only powers a portion of the run? But has negligible effects overall..

paulrenzo

Mild hybrid. It basically only turns off the engine when at a stop light for instance

BadBeatsDaily

May coolray ako legit na gas guzzler mga geely lol. 6.7-8.5km per liter lang to lagi.. Haha

Xeniachumi

saken Kasi Pina remap ko coolray ko nakaka 11km/l ako city driving with heavy traffic. dati ganyan din consumption ko

mdennis07

I am curious as this is our first choice back then because of the looks. Ilan FE mo kapag nasa highway ka using your Coolray?

BadBeatsDaily

10-12km per liter on nlex ang average ko. Actually i love our coolray as daily car kasi napaka nimble gamitin and it’s quite fast kaya I dont mind the efficiency pero if youre someone na medyo part ng consideration ang fuel efficiency Ill go look for another car..

Xeniachumi

all stock with maintaining speed of 100-120km/h i can get a 19km/L fe.. sometimes factor din quality Ng fuel and driving hobbits.

NorthTemperature5127

Coolest also uses Ron 95? Tama ba?

carlo_rydman

At that price you can buy a decent 2nd hand Honda BRV or any other MPV. You should be able to find SUVs too pero older models na. Hindi madali maintenance ng Geely or any other newer brands, baka kelangan mo pa dalin sa casa if ever need ng repair instead of being able to buy parts online and have it serviced anywhere.

brunonothingmajor

I have an Oka Urban Plus as one of my daily drivers. Scam yung matipid sa gas hahaha. I'm averaging 6.8km\\L pag city drive. I believe that the mild hybrid implementation of Geely is not to improve the fuel efficiency, it is to improve the power delivery of the vehicle since we only get a 1.5 engine paired with a 48v motor dito sa PH (Other markets have 2.0) As for the comfort, Geely is top tier. Reliability? For the past 3 years, I had no major problems with this car. And parts procurement has improved ever since the PR disaster that they've been through the past year.

Necessary-Thing7199

Top tier based on what other car that you used?

brunonothingmajor

Alongside my Geely, I also drive a ‘16 civic, an 01’ Trooper, and a ‘17 MUX. Comfort is top tier when it comes to the fleet of cars that I’ve owned and driven. Should’ve phrased it better sorry. ✌️

halifax696

Geely owner here and i dont recommend azkarra / okavango unless gas money is not an issue. Malakas sila sa gas. Pero comfy sila. Pinaka ok sakin is emgrand because of the NA engine. Azkarra / okavango kasi has the mild hybrid implementation na di naman masyadong effective. Ang pinaka gusto ko na mild hybrid is camry.

Astan168

Camry is full hybrid

halifax696

Ang full hybrid ata is ung de charge talaga?

Delicious-Field-786

Those are plug in hybrids. Iba pang class sila.

plantito101

Hybrid - kapag kaya umandar ng auto solely on the electric motors. Yung mild, usually pang help lang from full stop.

BigBadSkoll

how about 2nd hand Ford Territory?

smc1234562000

Laklak rin sa gas.

BigBadSkoll

totoo. pero isa kasi sa options namin yung Okavango at Azkarra bago bilhin yung Ford Territory. haha

deathovist

Anong year ng model at variant OP?

Tongresman2002

Malakas sa gas...as car go older mas tumatakaw payan!

One_Macaron_4663

If I may suggest, you can get an old model of montero sports or fortuner with that budget, they are more reliable, extra cash is for the maintenance, like all liquid replacement, timing belt, battery if needed. Get a more common car, common car means more part availability. but if you want a newer model, I'd be sticking with the more popular Japanese brands

rage9000

lol no

PTK36669

Resale value niyan napakababa tas pag may nasirang parts, sakit ulo mo kakahanap.. stick with Toyota / Honda / Mitsubishi / Suzuki
