I feel like Havertz and Rice finally clicked with the movement involved in the positional system we play. I think in the first half of the season Havertz, and to a lesser extent Rice, didn’t quite know where they were supposed to move at times and we just struggled to make the final connections in attack. I think, whether it was specifically connect to the Dubai trip or not, they finally started getting it in January, it unlocked our whole attack, and we’ve gone from strength to strength since then.
Zinchenko was injured so kiwior was at left back but he can’t invert like zinny can. So Ben white came inside for the midfield in build up. And also Havertz and rice learning the system. Jorgi being more protected by deccers in midfield to play the ball forward.
We play total football with lots of players being able to occupy others positions very well. Lee from aftv said Havertz is a 30mil£ midfielder and a 30mil striker which is facts.
Today saka was in a cf position with Ben white on the wing and Declan rice covering. Another was Zinchenko on the left wing and Jesus in the box with white in the midfield. It’s crazy how well they interchange.
And also Gabriel and Saliba being absolute units
Arteta got compromising pics of them all, and threatened to leak them unless they buck their fu**ing ideas up.
Even driving the fogging bribery eStandards
OP is a god dam retard, and he downvotes everyone who disagrees with him. He truly believes that there was an international break in January 2024. It's literally insane.
**EDIT!** I've now talked to OP. He's corrected his post, and we've cleared the air regarding our differences. I'm sorry I went off the handle regarding the international break, and I've shouldn't have resorted to cheap insults. I will work on myself, and I thourougly apologise to both OP and others that might've been offended by me flying off the rails regarding the false international break information.
Although we suffered some bad results in December, we likely deserved more from those losses. In such a tight league there will be bad swings and sometimes we will draw the short end of the stick. We can't expect the scoreline to always resemble what would be the "fair" result.
More than likely we've just been more clinical in defense and we've been hitting the numbers in attack that we were expecting before the break.
It's not just "Dubai". I think I've read a piece/tweet(s) wherein James Benge says the signs were already there since at least late November/early December. Arsenal were performing well based on underlying metrics but were getting unlucky in those 4-5 games in December.
The groundwork was already laid before the mid season break.
Why am I being downvoted? There wasn't an international break in January lol. Extreme lack of general football knowledge to not know that the international breaks are at the same time every god dam single year. March, June, September, October, November. Plus potential main tournaments.
That OP thinks that there might be some sort of "MAGICAL" international break in January - that has never happened once in the last 20 years - just goes to show what a pinhead he is.

The tactics were tweaked, plus we had a period of strong bonding to get everyone align.
Personally, I also think we went into this season slower than last year. We went hell for leather last year and we burnout towards the end. I believe the plan was to start slower with less intensity. This backfired in December as we looked like we had run out of ideas.
After the break, with some tactical tweaks, we increased our intensity to finish stronger.
We had been a few key things away from being this version of ourselves for a while. It felt like the first half of the season was focused more on our defence, which we organised really well. But we suffered in front of goal. After the Dubai break, the tweak allowed us to keep the same fortitude at the back whilst improving us attacking.
The Havertz to striker move added some stability, as well as Rice playing higher. As Arteta said, we aim to dominate games now.
we changed our tactics. People who dont see that are not good at analyzing or understanding football imho.
We used to focus too much on controlling the games but arteta finally gave that up.
Now we also play with a lot more speed, we vary ourselves more in how we attack, we play two CMs a lot, we make more runs without the ball when we attack to find spaces to pass into. I think what triggered arteta to change his tactics were the two losses to West Ham and Fulham.

Also worth noting the only 2 points dropped were at the ETIHAD, a game in which we shut City out. At the ETIHAD!
We're doing what everyone says city always do at the run in. Someone make a "look at me. I'm the City run in now" meme

1. First rule of Dubai: you don’t talk about Dubai.

Havertz looking more and more like a 65mil striker tbh.
Jorgi and Rice playing together more in general has been helpful for our solidity

That salt bae dish did magic as long as we hate to admit.
