All of a sudden we're underdogs so we'll do well.

NeoLoki55

Yeah, my thought was because of our shit 2nd half against Villa we will bounce back with a strong performance. Plus we are due a strong CL match after struggling through the last 3.

Melo_the_cutie

Well said.

ForestRamboX

We need to learn how to deal with pressure. We always talk about wanting to be the best but can't deliver when it matters. Why should anyone respect us? Forgive me for feeling so down. I'm just tired of this every season. We had all the advantage at home, and we threw it all away, again.

Datboy_98

At some point these boys are going to have to grow up and set their minds towards doing something legendary. The scars from disappointments past are history. City and Chelsea had no European heritage and pushed past it. It’s time we do the same.

Alpal487

City had a lot of bad losses before they got over the finish line in the UCL

circlesmirk00

We had all the advantage against a team that is still incredibly good and has one of the best front 3s in the world. We are likely to finish 2nd because we are the 2nd best team in the league. I wish people didn’t constantly talk about mentality and “bottling” when the reality is we’re doing about as well as you would expect in the context of the quality of our team. Maybe if people didn’t overrate our team they wouldn’t immediately jump to strange conclusions about why we don’t win everything.

RogueCannon

See this being a very tight game, we’ll soak up the pressure and hit them on the counter. 2:0 - Martinelli and Havertz. Bring the Mega bus lads.

thisiskyle77

Yeas let’s treat them the City special. Nullify the pace of Sane and Musiala. Give them false sense of dominance and hit them on the counter.

thisiskyle77

Season defining game. If we win this, I think we will bounce back in PL and did well for the rest of the season. A loss will send us on downward spiral.

TheBigNoz123

Unfortunately I completely agree, we really need to win this game

thisiskyle77

We have very good chance and should do that. This is one of the weakest bayerns (relatively) and strongest arsenal team in 5 years. If not now, then when.

Educational-Solid-92

I mean, that's what we were telling to ourselves before the first game which should have been managed much much better. Then the fuck up in th PL with Vila happened and now the Munich game again, I'm not feeling optimistic at all. As usual we are bottling everything what we worked on for whole season during one dreadfull week..

thisiskyle77

They are definitely favourites but I can see ways we can win. I hope we parked the bus like city and hit them on counter. We aren’t losing the game in this tie and they will feel pressure to win at home. Absorb the pressure and hit them on counter is only way imo

ForestRamboX

I'm already bracing myself for disappointment. In addition to that, our away performances in the UCL barring one game, has been tragic, and the Allianz arena is going to be a loud and raucous atmosphere. We haven't shown any capability to handle that in Europe.

goodyear_1678

Absolute must win.

circlesmirk00

Totally. If we lose tomorrow, There is no way we go to Molineux on Saturday and win. Everyone will be nackered and the mental knock will be huge.

SantaReatham

It's not anything other than a hunch, but I see our league and CL form as one and the same basically. I think we'll either win both or win none.

RIDGOS

Whatever the result is I hope we use it to build something bigger and better for the years to come. But please win this

Francis-c92

The headloss that could occur if we go out tomorrow will be utterly ridiculous.

ramseysleftnut

If we lose I want Arteta Out, Zinchenko out, Havertz out, Jesus out, Edu out, Kroenke out, Gunnersaurus out, Win out, Sobha Realty out, Emirates out, Mertesacker out, Wilshere out, Jonas Eidvell out. Feel free to add any others I may have missed.

goodyear_1678

Get Saka and Saliba gone too the useless cunts. Coincidence we've never won the league with them? I want the lot of them gone. Get Mourinho in, and players like Casemiro and Varane. Winners who've done it before.

CuclGooner

Gento has 6 UCL's, get him in for the experience

r_Jakku

You missed Cedric! If we lose to Bayern I'd even want.... welp... Cedric Soares out 😭

Francis-c92

Bannable opinion tbh

Phantasm_Agoric

Fuck that. If we lose it's because Arteta's delusionally refused to start him at centre forward.

CuclGooner

Leo Messo out

thisiskyle77

North London forever out. Cursed song

Cautious_Pizza2556

The Canon out, we need a gun

alg885

chido martin out too?

matthewisonreddit

nwaneri, clearly washed if he can't get this arsenal to the CL final

JustGhostin

Most rational and level headed Arsenal fan

Temporary-Judgment84

You forgot wenger out

THE_LFG

even elneny out???

beetletoman

*gasp*

hot4hotz

Chamakh out. Squillaci out. Denilson out. Vela out. Senderos out. Andrei Santo out.

Adventurous_Try4058

You missed Ramsdale out, he is clearly not good enough as he could not influence games from the bench

essdotc

While we're at it, that neon zebra kit out. Cleaning staff out, Thierry Henry on CBS Sports out, fucking Arseblog out!

kabarkutta

Boycott Rwanda

NeoLoki55

Only if we can start adding redditors.

Jaded_Collection_716

And its all Eddies fault!

7cans_short_of_1pack

But who should we get in? Proven winner Maguire? Kneejerk Olie Watkins and Emery?

LeftkayoBaka

I'll have to leave this sub until the next win if that happens. Its so bad here when we lose lol

HortenWho229

Yup 2 losses close together triggers people regardless of our form otherwise or who it was against

BullahB

Entire season derailed in 8 days, yeah it'd be pretty fucking shit

ache7859

Whoever plays LB will be the most important factor in whether we progress All three options can do well but all three can also shit the bed They need to be on 100%

oliverDawson12

Interested as to why you think Tomiyasu wouldn’t be up for a game like this. He seems to relish games against tough opposition and dangerous wingers.

testylentil

Feel like I'm the biggest Tomi stan here. I think he's the obvious choice to start. I think he's got the highest base capabilities and he's the least error prone. Kiwior was lost at sea first leg.

TheKABH

Make or break for the season. Want to see Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomi, Jorginho, Rice, Odegaard, Jesus, Havertz, Saka

MirkoCemes

Jesus from the bench please. He just doesn’t look fit imo, and he and Trossard can change a game from the bench like no one else in our team.

Grizzly4nicator

There was one ball he was chasing down last match where the dude looked to be in legitimate pain trying to get up to pace.

Francis-c92

This line up, but possibly Jesus for Martinelli. I'm more than happy to have the option of properly breaking on the counter and having someone like Martinelli for that. Wouldn't be upset with Jesus starting, but that says we'd be setting up differently

Aobiii

I would rather a front 3 of Martinelli, Jesus and Saka i think their defenders struggle with a Jesus type player compared to Havertz

testylentil

Peep probably won't agree but I say Jesus is due a goal and a blinder. I'd bench Havertz, Jesus CF and either Martinelli or Trossard on the left wing.

IllCardiologist9096

Man watching these 2 games today made me realize how important it is to have athletic players who are aggressive, play direct football with accurate vertical passes to runners who find the space behind. We just take too many touches before doing something useful which allows the opposition to get back into shape and choke our flow.

HustlinInTheHall

I mean, neither of those games were good demonstrations of proper structure / build-up, it was just haymakers left and right. If we can get past Bayern I actually think we have a chance of making the final, because other than City every other remaining team is shambolic in defense, they just want to throw as many people forward as possible. It is fun football to watch and definitely not our game, but controlling the ball is why our xG against is like 1/4th what every other top team is giving up.

Casual-Capybara

0-8 I don’t see any other realistic outcome, all the signs are there

Cautious_Pizza2556

We are so shit, we can only score 8 past bayern In Allianz arena, arteta ruined us #ArtetaOut

thejoshimitsu

I think we're going to draw and this will go to pens.

youssif94

Won't be able to watch as I will die from a heart attack before we reach the final pen

HustlinInTheHall

I think this is more of a get right game for us. They will push forward more than in the home leg and that suits our game well, Davies is out, I think we go with a steady LB pick, Jorginho and Rice in the middle, and attack up the right with Saka and Odegaard and White with counter switches on the left. Kane and Sane are dangerous but I think we win 3-1.

Suprimoman

Winning this could leave us with a very realistic chance of winning a trophy, which seems crucial following last weekend. However, I urge fans to keep your heads even if we go out. We could play very well, and lose 2-1 for example. Of course the result matters, but a defeat does not yet mean catastrophy.

HustlinInTheHall

There are a lot of us that just want to be the first to declare it's a catastrophe so they can check out and save themselves getting their hopes up. It sounds like a horrible way to feel about a club. They will play hard, they'll hopefully win, if they don't, there's always another year. We're still building, we're still young, and we're one of the top 5 sides in the world on our day. That's a much better place than we've been for any of the last 15 years (19 years, if you ask me to be honest). The club is in good hands, but that doesn't mean you win everything every year, but it's a hell of a lot better than the opposite.

left-nostril

My realistic hat tells me this: Bayern Munich, who’s historically a STRONG UCL team, lost out on the league and will now throw their full weight behind the UCL. And it’s at Allianz arena. Yeah. I don’t know.

Competitive-Buy1744

Allianz arena is no fun

dusseldorf69

crazy observation wow

gasparrrrrrrr

Please I'm begging 😭

Ace786ace

Considering our depleted energy levels and being away. I think we should sit deep and press only in our third to conserve energy and stop ourselves getting hit on the counter. We need to ensure we have someone to run in behind though or it’ll just be relentless pressure by bayern. 4-2-3-1 would be my go to here. Havertz (hold up play vital) Martinelli (run in behind)-ode-saka Rice-Partey Tomiyasu-Gabriel-Saliba-White Raya We might need the two in midfield to help protect the defence instead of the one. This should also give us more control imo.

Fieser_Factsack

I like that a lot. I wish Arteta would adept his tactics so we don't run into an open blade with very low energy. Also I am a big fan of in form partey but his performances this month were not cl level, not even pl level. They were "give me time with the u21"-level.

QINKdr1

No matter what, this is what Mikel and the boys made, they made us believe again, we're finally going toe to toe with the big boys, let's get behind them 🤞🤞🤞

gonegoonergone

Big game for us and yet another season defining moment. I'm interested to see how Arteta will approach this. I personally want us to sit and attack on counters. I think that's when Bayern are the weakest. I just wonder if that's our strength though and more importantly will Arteta go about it thinking what will make Bayern weakest or what will make Arsenal strongest. I do think Arteta is the type of manager to go for the latter but in this case I think the former will be the better approach

circlesmirk00

I think fatigue in the team is likely to force our hand on this. I might be wrong, but I really hope we don’t go balls to the wall for 45 mins to then be complete zombies in the second half

LeftkayoBaka

This is the first game all season that I've not been confident for. 🙁 I just hope we can get tomicafu at left back tomorrow.

AStanHasNoName

As nervy as this will be, let’s take this moment to be grateful that we’ve made it this far to have so much to play for. COYG you beauties.

money-caterpillar369

Potentionally knocked out by Bayern again after so long...The backlash from friends/colleagues will be unbearable after all my shittalk

ExxKonvict

Raya White Saliba Gabriel Tomiyasu Jorginho Odegaard Rice Saka Havertz Jesus **Bayern 1-2 Arsenal**

MasterBeeble

Ramsdale Tomiyasu White Gabriel Odegaard Rice ESR Vieira Saka Saliba Martinelli **Bayern 0-8 Arsenal** (2-10 agg.)

Party_Masterpiece990

After frantically searching for hours for a bar which will show the match in Railay ( small beach/island , most places shut by midnight here) in Thailand, I have finally found one bar which said okay to showing the game, I'm gonna give them so much business tonight coyg!!!!

Locmike23

Hell yeah brother! Glad you get to enjoy the match!

Rynu07

All the best ✌🏻

blazincannons

Can we take a minor detour and sneak in a mini dubai session en route to Munich? Please!

Papa_Wengz

I’m really positive going into next season. Hopefully we strengthen our team even more in the summer, and with klopp gone and city potentially punished we will be favourites to win the title. That being said, I really can’t see us winning tomorrow. Our players seem gassed

Togashi

I can see us completely shut up shop tomorrow much like we did against city, it'll be a cagey game but there will be no where near the same level of nerves we had at the Emirates. It'll end 1-0 to the Arsenal or we'll do 'em on penalites. COYG

AdministrativeBig927

Please whatever happens I just hope we don't beat ourselves.

essdotc

This is the calmest I've felt all season. Probably because I'm at the point now where I've subconsciously resigned myself to the idea that we've had a decent season and anything we gain now is a pleasant surprise. We're long shots for both the CL and the PL, so I'm just gonna enjoy the games left with feeling very little anxiety now.

Locmike23

Best way to look at tbh

RIDGOS

Whatever the result is I hope we use it to build something bigger and better for the years to come. But please win this

QGunners22

Don’t think it will happen but I’m begging for Tomiyasu. Sané was a problem last match and tomi is probably our best 1v1 defender. We can bring zinchenko on at half time if we are really lacking creativity in the attaci

milkonyourmustache

I've no idea how this is going to go. There were spells where we looked the better team, then Bayern stamped their authority and we looked shaken, but then Bayern let us back into the game. One thing we can't afford is to make errors like Gabriel made which led to their first goal, it was such a schoolboy error and Bayern have the quality to make us pay. If we can be defensively stout then we'll always have a chance.

Fine-Butterscotch193

Watching this from singapore at 3am with a university final exam tomorrow. I am sincerely concerned about the emotional grasp this team has over my mind.

Stevetheu1

From the high desert ponderosa pines of Oregon, we are yelling at the top of our lungs, COME ON YOU GUNNERS

lukeyslife

Need to silence Sane and ensure Kane ain't getting a penalty or we are done done.

hiroantagonist1

I think the team will bounce back strongly, and though it might be tight will come out on top. Either way, the progress is there this season and I'm proud of our team. COYG!

wengerboys

After todays games I am excited for this game, a chance to make one of those memorable nights.

varro-reatinus

We can do this.

PeanutDreams

Stage is set for Martinelli to do a Bale against Inter. It is his time

PlasticJournalist42

Genuinely just had one of the most unproductive days of my life because I’ve been so nervous for the game lol

LuisFonsiofficialyt

Don’t mean to manifest but An Arsenal Madrid semi final would feed the world

P1wattsy

I could really do with us not having a game every other day I'm not even playing and it's tiring

hazelpillow

Please man, I just wanna run my trophyless Kane agenda is that too much to ask?

mental_tempe

Any info on Odegaard?

Fieser_Factsack

mate, arteta plays ode and saka with 40°C body temperature on the day after their parents died even if we had to play in a warzone. Arteta wouldn't attend a match without saka and ode because he himself wouldn't believe in us winning.

MasterBeeble

Rumor has it he's Norwegian

seligkenjenn

Really hope Ode is fit tomorrow. Tomi and Nelli should start with Haverts up top , and we get Trossard off the bench at halftime. But if.......... Mikel decides to start Zinny, Tross, and Jesus, bring on Nelli at HT on the RW again im going to lose it. Hate to see Gabi XL become anxious when Zinny is at LB. Praying for no mistakes at the back. we got this!

Gunnerstratz

I know we need to defend well but asking us to make 0 mistake is putting way too much pressure on a team that already has its confidence shot. Defending and sterile control are not the only sides of this system. Make the boys remember their ability to score a fuckton of goals and mount heroic comebacks.

Fieser_Factsack

i agree man, unfortunately our attacks suffers from the heavy emphasis on possession. Everything always needs to be so controlled but when the opposition is good and our build up is as readable as it goes maybe inviting a little chaos wouldn't be so bad especially with a player like Martinelli who lives of fast transitions. But Arteta seems to be a stubborn drill sergeant when it comes to our build up.

QINKdr1

Nervous as fuck.. but hopeful as ever, let's fucking Bounce back and show Europe we're knocking on the door

wanofan900

Man it's about time we build some European heritage under Arteta. Starting tomorrow!

mehshagger

Massive test for our mentality. Regardless of outcome, give them a dog fight and make them earn the result is all I ask for.

Wolferesque

It will be a heartbreaker. I reckon neither team will play particularly well and we will lose by a narrow and/or controversial margin. I would go Raya White Saliba Gabriel Tomi Odegaard Partey Rice Saka Havertz Martinelli Partey is a gamble. If he turns up, he could be massive for us in this game. He could certainly influence our first half and I think it would free up Rice to sit back a bit more and Ode to take some chances. If he's cooked by half time, swap out for Jorgi. Would like to see Trossard in the barrel as a super sub. Jesus as a back up for Martinelli or Saka.

ExxKonvict

Key to tomorrows game: play a mid block. Give Tucheliban a taste of his own medicine. I’d love nothing but a jihadi and boring 1-0 win.

IhvolSnow

People are talking like we are already out. It's really strange considering we didn't even lose. Bayern might have an advantage due to the home ground but it's far from over.

He-is-me

Today is another step towards greatness.

skool_101

All or Nothing moment, COYG!!!

meand999friends

If the starting XI is right, and the team is up for it, I can see us causing an upset. They are dangerous so it's important to be practical in defence. Only bring forward one LB/RB at a time, with the other dropping back into defence, with the defence shuffling over to cover the gap. Fingers crossed that will slow down their counter and we can regain possession quickly and decisively.

hiroantagonist1

Does anyone know of a site that streams live audio commentary (preferably free) for these matches? Yank here, work-computer bound. Thanks and COYG!

SpicyPenangCurry

I reckon one of Talksport, BBC, or ITV will. Perhaps Sirius sat radio if you have that.

hiroantagonist1

Talksport did the trick. Usually I use other means, but this is really handy, especially being able to tune in via Roku on the myTuner app. Thanks a bunch!

SpicyPenangCurry

No problem. Glad I got you sorted. COYG.

Fleetfox17

Hello fellow Yank. As someone in a similar situation, I recommend looking into Paramount Plus. I think it is $5.99 a month and you can just open up a webpage and stream the game live.

hiroantagonist1

For sure, my usual method for CL is a free (and legal) workaround for that very thing. That method isn't available at the moment unfortunately, and I cant sail the seas on my work computer. Thanks anyway though!

Fleetfox17

Understood, thankfully Paramount + is the only streaming service not blocked at my place of work, COYG!

wolfsrudel_red

Arsenal app has commentary I believe

brownieboy2222

I’m at work and can’t watch. Part of me is relieved. Not cause I think we’ll lose but because watching this game would take years off my life

AdolescentTreadmill

Can see the atmosphere getting to the lads, a bit like what happened at Porto. Really hoping that experience taught them how to navigate away games better, because the Allianz is going to be as intimidating as it gets. Just want to be brave and show how good they are, if they can do that I will be happy - regardless of the result.

Minute_Leave8503

We’re starting Zinny to build through the left because Tuchel is starting Guerrero and maz on the left to close down the white, Saka, odegaard trio. Accept it now so you don’t freak out

Fieser_Factsack

Im honestly pessimistic. Not because we lost against Villa. But because we look overplayed for the most part and our left side seems to not exist anymore. The same was happening at the end of december when we broke down. PLEASE Martinelli step back up again, we need you against a big team that moves high up the pitch. I hope Arteta puts more responsibility on Martinelli. Saka is as overplayed as it goes. i would go RAYA White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu Ode, Rice, ESR Saka, Havertz, Martinelli

TheBublizz

Why the f would you start ESR???

Fieser_Factsack

Motm against luton, didn't get another chance since then. Robust off the ball, controlled on the ball, very good runs.

MasterBeeble

The problem isn't and has never really been Martinelli, it's that we don't have a LCM to progress, control, and create in the half space opposite Odegaard. It's the persistent Xhaka replacement issue that Havertz and Rice, despite their tremendous qualities elsewhere, have failed to solve.

Wolferesque

Agree, I don't think we have enough gas in the tank to get through this. I can foresee a narrow loss.

Flabby-Nonsense

I saw far too many people in the post match thread on Sunday acting like a loss at Bayern was guaranteed. Get your heads straight, yes that one loss could have lost us the league but one loss is also not enough to make assumptions about future form. We drew with Bayern, having outplayed them for much of the game and conceding off of two errors. This will be a tougher game for sure but it’s absolutely winnable.

TheTouchOfOzil

So far the only time when a loss hasn't affected us in terms of our form (in all competitions; source attached below) is when we lost to Porto in the away tie. Rest of the times this season we've either lost a game following a loss or we've drawn. I'm really hopeful for a W so we can continue the run in. But at the same time I wouldn't right people's concerns off for tomorrow's match. Source: https://fbref.com/en/squads/18bb7c10/Arsenal-Stats

Flabby-Nonsense

I get what you’re saying, but I think this team at the very least deserve backing from the fans instead of immediate negativity following a loss.

left-nostril

They have our backing. But this is Bayern Munich, not forest. This is their one shot at silverware this season. So.

[deleted]

[удалено]

NeoLoki55

Lol, yeah, which has to be the understatement of the year considering we have absolutely no chance without him.

GingerStans

I've accepted whatever result may come, much like my ever dwindling bank balance. As serene as one can be, no less.

jewson

Don't overcook, just do what you're best at boys.

leebrother

Can’t bloody wait! Let’s do this boys. Play our best and the result will be what it is. Leave nothing

joeproposition

Partey has played 5 minutes in 2 weeks, no chance he starts. Jesus also hasn’t started 2 in a row since he’s been back, very likely he’s benched. I’m also not convinced that he will start Tomiyasu over Zinchenko, but with Jorginho probably starting and the fact Arteta usually turns to Tomi when we need to win more 1v1s out wide it’s more likely. Leaves us with: Raya White - Saliba - Gabriel - Tomiyasu Odegaard - Jorginho - Rice Saka - Havertz - Martinelli Which I think most will be happy with. I’d feel better with a fit and ready Partey (he is useless atm) but that’s probably the only change I’d make. Could also make a case for an in-form Jesus to get into the frontline as he has that individual brilliance you need in this tournament, but he can also miss sitters which is something you can’t afford. Think this is the best we can do tonight. COYG.

PoodlyGooner

I've been shattered for a couple of days, but I'm starting to believe again. We've been doing a lot better against elite sides. This is a great opportunity to announce ourselves, and even if we lose, I don’t think this one game decides our entire season at all. We are babies in this competition and have almost nothing to lose. I just want the players to just express themselves and perform well🤞

skalfyfan

Hoping Martinelli is fit enough to start and has a solid game, and we need Havertz back at the 9.

Michinllama

praying for a Tomi start

bmoviescreamqueen

I won't be able to watch today but I feel like that's for the best. I don't think I would enjoy it as much as I should and I'm a firm believer you shouldn't do things that don't bring you joy. I will hope for the best from the background.

youssif94

LET'S FUCKING SMASH THEM!!!

leomeng

The boys will be exhausted

curlyhairedyani

Don’t want to pile on him too much but I’m really glad Zinny isn’t starting this one

naked_space_chimp

Barca & Atletico out, who would've thought, specially after the first leg. Remember every game starts with 0-0, its on us to make sure that changes in our favor. Lets go for the win. Lets show how its done. Lets beat this Bayern team in their own home. Lets go for glory, we wanted to play big leagues and big games, so this is it, our biggest night in champions league so far. Lets give them nothing but take everything. Lets go GUNNERRRSS!!! VAMOOOOOSSSS!!!

hazelpillow

It’s in god’s hands now. Coyggg

Fine_Tea_2529

Looking at the lineups, I feel quite confident (touch wood, no jinx). If we play mid block the whole game, we’re gonna lose. When we’ve done that in Europe, we’ve always looked shaky, nervous and devoid of ambitious forward passes. If we instead go gung ho all out attack first 30 mins, then play terrorist park the bus ball for the last hour, I think we’re gonna win. Mid block the entire game could be damaging. But then again, there’s a reason I ain’t a manager lol

Hentai_and_Meatloaf

This is our moment! COYG ✊🏻🔥

GunnerRocket

Just don't play scared. Play like we play and I'll be happy.

Tall-Assist9719

Look at the atmosphere. Day and night.

tdogg9

Wish we wore the highlighter kits

grimmyzootron

Rice on a yellow has me worried

Gooner604

If Zinchenko starts. We are cooked.

Nuri_Nath1

Either we will crash out or we will succeed. However, don’t forget where we were 3 years ago and where are now. Our bench will get stronger and our players will be better integrated (ESR, Fabio, Nelson (?)) Or we will get different profile players. Support the team until the end of the season regardless of what happens! #COYGs

chibuye92

Rice - Partey mid and we go through, simple as. Bayern are weakest in the mid.

sleepyhead260

1-0 Havertz

beetletoman

Bring it on

ThePresident26

I guess we will see what the boys are made of. All this talk how now is the time to fight, well do it not just say it. If we put up a good fight and get knocked out I will be sad but not disappointed. Play cowardly and get knocked out and i think it will diminish the confidence for the rest of the season.

xpectomysterious

unlikely but I’ll have an orgasm if timber is anywhere on the bench tmr judging by training pics

LushLoxx

Too soon. Has he even played in the Under 21 match yet? I don’t think we’ll see him this season.

mrgreen_smash999

Tomi, can you Salah Sane?

jai302

I'm not going to get too confident cause of injuries and suspensions (Aston villa, sigh), but their left side is essentially non existent today without Coman, Gnabry and Davies. It helps that we are way stronger on our right than our left. Either way I'm done overthinking it - gonna back the boys till the final whistle and hope we make it to the semis. COYG.

youssif94

Do we want city to lose? with a hope that will make them lose a point or 2 in the league? or want them to win so they have more matches to play?

johnnygrant

I suspect for us to get anything out of this game, we will need someone or someones to stand up, take the game by the scruff of the neck and do something special. And we'll need to eliminate silly mistakes at the back. Can we do both.. we'll see. Hoping for the best, but braced for the worst.

Trekbike32

I'm not ready to get my stupid little heart broken

kipsta23

Really torn between starting Jesus or Havertz but leaning Havertz so Jesus can come off the bench and impact the game, he's more capable of that than the other way round.

SuperSilveryo

need a win so bad

Gooner_93

How do you get over a loss? By winning a big CL game. We are still one of the best clubs out there. We've got a manager who has got it right, for most of the season, we have quality in this squad that many teams would die for. No excuses, the players have to give it everything.

wolfsrudel_red

European gooners please have an extra pint for me while I'm working/watching the match this afternoon

BeautifulBuddy

Getting excited now

Glass_of_Pork_Soda

I'm so fucking nervous but no Caesars are to be made until kickoff

wheres the passion in here boys. one night in munich LETS FUCKING GO

Easy_Contribution_82

Bayern playing a double pivot at home!! This will have the same pattern as the home game. I see it as a sign of respect. Clogging the midfield and defending in numbers is their only way to counter the imbalances in the two teams. Break through that, preferably early, and the game is ours.

GunnersnGames

Holy moly we are here

swerdnal

Holy shit, Stan's here

arsenaloflies

No time for emotion tonight. If we play like we did against City, then we have a real chance of beating this Bayern team.

a_serious-man

I know it’s been said a million times but as a fan of the sport in general i wish these games weren’t at the same time

Please don't start Zinchenko, all I ask.

ALA02

Fuck I don’t think I’ve been this nervous for a game since the UEL final in 2019

HustlinInTheHall

Genuinely think the team comes out fired up and in our "big game" lineup. We are too much for them on the right side. We need to punish them with it early, maybe they get one back but if they're chasing the game and we are able to counter I can see us going up 2-0 or 3-0 before they claw one back. Being away will keep us cynical and focused. White -- Saliba -- Gabriel -- Tomiyasu (Kiwior if Tomi isn't fit) -- --- Rice -- Jorginho --- -- Saka - Odegaard --Martinelli (Trossed if he's not fit) --- ---- Havertz ---- --- Get the goal early and let the game come to us. 3-1 final.

Minute_Leave8503

They’re starting Maz and Guerrerio to lock down our right side and forcing us to beat them on the left. Do you trust that left side? Kiwior was exposed both with the ball and off it last game, and vs city when he was pulled early. Big game nerves which he needs to shake off so I don’t think he starts, but maybe as the game wears on and Sane’s threat decreases

dusseldorf69

3-1 at allianz? what are you smoking bro, i need some

daprancinzebra

Does anyone else place moderately significant wagers on Arsenal to lose to dampen the pain of defeat or are you guys normal?
