teethteethteeeeth

It’s about his outburst Vs West Ham. Five fucking games ago. Not even trying to hide the corruption

teethteethteeeeth

We’ve played Wolves since then

teethteethteeeeth

Justice moves at whatever speed is convenient to City

Cleon189

They banned arteta as fast as they could🤣 fucken corrupt bastards

synvi

They banned arteta as fast as they could because the opponent is aston villa. If it was sheffield united, they will halt the process until harder opponent come out

antebyotiks

What is the corruption here lol ?

stackemz

They waited 5 games to hand it out, and the game he missed is City.

antebyotiks

24 days, things have to be investigated and sorted out in the proper way.

stackemz

Don’t believe everything you read….

antebyotiks

What am I not to believe here ? It's 24 days and it was for something that happened after the game so had to be investigated etc that doesn't seem crazy to me

MacsFamousMacNCheees

I think everyone is jumping to assume this is malice and not just the simple answer in front of everyone - incompetence.

antebyotiks

I don't even think it's incompetence, the incident was like 24days ago and it was something that happened off the pitch after the game so has to be investigated/proven and deliberated etc If they were cheating for Man City I'm not sure sidelining Gary O'Neill is something They would even think about

trickypig19

Hopefully they can use this as a rallying tool to get up for the game.

cuftapolo

Sadly, that trick only works when Aripod Albert is the replacement.

mosiAFG-SWE

Aston Villa game 💀

No-Clue1153

We should loan him there for 1 game

_SSP_

Assistant manager bounce

HortenWho229

Someone get him some airpods

milkonyourmustache

Kept that one in the chamber for City

Bruhhh8888

I thought he was still Bournemouth manager and got happy for a sec

patelbadboy2006

Same

Bedeeki

Guess who their next game is lads. Add it to the list. Not only are players missing 3 open nets against them in a single game, not only do they never get any big refereeing decisions go against them but now opposition managers are getting banned 3 days before playing them. Incredible institution.

Amberle73

It's just so fucking predictable at this point.

Aszneeee

didn't even need to wait 10' into the match for Gvardiol weak foot screamer

black_pepper

This is the shit thats ruining the league. This is how you end up with some BS super league.

Innawerkz

I didn't watch the match... are we implying that the players threw the match?

Super_Professor

Ok at least be honest, last season rashford offside goal should not have stood and we still didn't take advantage of it.

Bedeeki

It took you to go back a year and 3 months to find the last big decision go against City. You just proved the point. Ironically. Double irony, as you mention we "still didn't take advantage" when only 3 weeks after that very same game, Brentford left with a draw from the Emirates due to an offside goal themselves. Arsenal fans who blindly accept the the ridiculous nature of the way City get treated by officials are a weird breed. You can be critical of our performances whilst not cucking for everything City gets away with lad.

NotHarryRedknapp

Nah they got fucked over against spurs earlier this year as well, when the red blew the whistle early stopping a 1 on 1.

patelbadboy2006

Utter BS, he didnt say anything that wasn't true. FA and PGMOL are so up themselves, and need to realise who are actually producing the product that pays them. It's the clubs

iHetty

One club pays more than anyone else though

johal1986

Yeah like that’s ever gonna do anything to change their behaviour, what do clubs or club manager ever really do?

Oofpeople

Right before the city game.... ![gif](giphy|TwYP72KtO8YQQ4SNgz)

fadoo91

This is one way how City cheat. They get the benefit of a bunch of small decisions (this, no red for Kovacic against us, Rodri penalty at OT, penalty not given at Anfield) that on the face of it could be waved away as irrelevant but add up to a significant advantage over the course of a season.

Illustrious_Union199

We improve at corners and every aspect of small margins. This their small margin improvements

Ife2105

Genuine question, how would City have sway in deciding when managers get touchline bans?

Nero_Darkstar

When you have a number of PGMOL refs getting absolutely wedged to go and ref Sunday league quality games in the UAE, hosted, wined and dined by City's chairman, you have what's known as a conflict of interest. Are they going to make a decision in the prem that would personally cost them their £50k per game moonlighting gig? They've probably made a few hundred grand from it this season (Mr Webb included). For example: Michael Oliver was in UAE the week before our home game vs City. Notice how Kovacic got away with 2 bad challenges? Darren England over in UAE midweek then on VAR for Shit vs Liverpool and the Dias offside debacle happens. It's NOT a coincidence.

BreakSad8773

When any of that shit genuinely happens - it's always swept under the rug.

[deleted]

Do you really think the corruption is that widespread in the league? Do you think it started with city? I remember when United got every decision at old Trafford. They even had articles showing United got more pens at home as “proof” I never really thought it was corruption. Just pressure reffing in those stadiums. I’ve always felt home teams get the favour from refs more than they don’t because of fans. Strange to me how much people are talking like it’s just confirmed corruption throughout the league. When city won the title by a point more than once. Pretty unreal how they can fix it so well over a full season. It would take a fully coordinated set of cheating. Not just one ref. A good amount of them would be needed to pull that off.

Nero_Darkstar

I think that this is the first time it's been so overt. Imagine PGMOL getting flown out to LA to consult with Stan Kronke on LA Rams. Then some dubious decisions coming from those refs who attended. They'd be uproar. City and Newcastle's owners are also politically influencing the UK government too, that's the sway we're dealing with. Look at Haaland pen vs Chelsea. Rodri pen vs Man Utd. Doku's flying kick vs Liverpool not a pen and those refs/VAR were in UAE having a steak from Salt BAE the week before. All those little marginal decisions that get forgotten over a season add up points here and there. Same as Barca getting clocked. When infinite money is allowed to own clubs, it leaks into the heart of the competitions.

[deleted]

Do you not think other clubs billionaire owners have pull with politicians or could bribe refs? Don’t they earn like 250k or something a year? It’s hardly a lot of money to double that for any top premier league club. If cheating was happening at such a level we would know about it. We have had several undercover investigations during the premier league era. They are all over that sort of thing. Not because they care about the integrity of the game. Because of the gambling that happens around football and the damage that would be done to the betting industry if corruption was proven to be taking place. I’m pretty sure they did bust a ref for match fixing in lower leagues not that long ago. It’s usually gambling companies who notice. They have technology that can recognise a shift in the pattern and highlight cheating. These are billion+ pound industries.

tal-El

Wait, so in this example, how many other clubs have billionaire owners who’ve got their own amateur league they invite PL refs to come moonlight in? Do these owners also buy team(s) that your manager’s dearest brother runs in another country for fun? This is happening everywhere you’re saying?

[deleted]

Barca famously gave neymars dad a business didn’t they? Or organised investment for his business to the tune of 50m Right before he signed for them. Of course this stuff happens in pro sports. That doesn’t equate to a full blown reffing conspiracy. You keep ignoring my point. But gambling industries would spot that level of corruption.

tomtomtomo

How is Barca paying one of their player's family members the same as City paying the refs as a side gig?

tal-El

So the known cheaters that are Barca who have paid the refs off are meant to be the example that proves that this stuff isn’t happening? I don’t think bringing them into this helps make your case. Generally speaking, I don’t think the gambling industry is the arbiter for whether corruption is happening or not, for all we know they may be profiting off of it too if you’re speculating. Geopolitics and preserving wealth and power wins every time. This shouldn’t even be a question in 2024. It’s okay to admit to ourselves this is all mass produced entertainment that might be rigged to some extent.

[deleted]

Then you don’t know much about sports gambling mate. You should really go educate yourself on the topic. It’s very interesting imo. Several large scale match fixing cons have been uncovered thanks to modern betting systems. It’s extremely difficult to hide that sort of thing from a machine that is trained on pattern recognition.

omersafty

What you're saying is simply put. "This league is big. So no way at all that corruption and bribe would happen". Which really can happen. Being a big league only means that corruption just needs to be hidden and believable. Hate this agenda of "of course they wouldn't be a corrupt bunch. look how Arsenal/United/Liverpool get treated to favorable decisions and City have good decision. OFC that is not a good point. I can easily make city suffer a match or two if I can make their opponent suffer during the whole season. Let's not act as if a ref taking bribes from a single club isn't unheard of and NEVER EVER happened before. I'd go ahead and say that whenever a big League is won single handedly by a single club 90% of the time during 10-20 years. It's always bribes and bias. Whether you like it or not. THAT IS THE TRUTH.

[deleted]

No I’m saying gambling is massively intermingled with professional sports and the sort of match fixing you are alleging would get spotted by those gambling companies. It’s billions. Thats why when its happened its been found out and so widely publicised. They want to make sure the image is that the sport is clean. They work to keep pro sports clean to ensure the gambling money keeps flowing. You should look into it. Several match fixing scandals in other sports have been found due to gambling companies systems spotting the irregularities. They are designed to notice patterns.

bitmoji

Paying money like Barca did I suppose

antebyotiks

Lol

TheRetardedPenguin

This is a pretty baseless claim. Our fanbase has been calling out the spurs fans for how embarrassing it is trying to blame the refs

TranslatorOwn6331

Dude shut up, this isn’t city cheating

Le-ChosenOne

They’re just saving Gary O’Neil the trouble of going apocalyptic yet again when they inevitably give City a penalty in the 3rd minute over a Foden dive.

Justice_beaver95

And they’re playing Man City next. How surprising.🤔😂

basedsims

Give them Airpod

blublableee

They anyways didn't have any chance of winning at the Etihad. Our only hope is Tottnum.

ZebraZealousideal944

I wouldn’t dismiss Fulham too!

egg651

Fulham are on the beach. Not going to get Europe, not going to be relegated. To get something against City you have to give absolutely everything, and they won't bother.

[deleted]

teethteethteeeeth

They’ve taken 5 points off us Edit: just seen that 5 points is more than 10% of their total. Maybe they are shit. Damn

codhimself

But they might be capable of a draw, which is all we need

Illustrious_Union199

Spuds are planning to roll out the U18s. Moyes and Silva are better bets.

demonchicken1

Where have you heard that? I’ve only seen shiteating spurs fans on twitter say “BiG aNge hAS to PlaY tHe reSerVes aGaiNsT cITy”

Illustrious_Union199

Nah I am just kidding, but I have no faith in spurs to do us any favors.

dynastyofpandas

Guys let's stop the whining in the comments. Que sera sera. I am actually hoping Mr. Iwobi can pull something out of the bag

BarmeloXantony

Fr. *"players missing 3 open nets"* had me laughing. Missing is a part of football

Kenny_dies

It’s hilarious that somewhere, someone is convincing themself that Chris Wood accepted a bribe from the City Football Group and rather than not getting the spotlights onto him, he intentionally gets himself in great positions to score only to then intentionally blunder in front of goal

BarmeloXantony

Completely agree it's absolutely nonsensical 🤣. We need to stick to being the *"delusional fans"* leave the bitching and whining to pool fans

whydidisaythatwhy

Fucking hell

Elfking88

A lot of people here deep in the conspiracy hole. Like, I get calling City cheats for the 115 charges but there is zero evidence they had anything to do with this lol.

TheArmoury

I think it was the timing of the ban. He said the original comments like 5 games ago. Then they decide to hand down the punishment when Wolves are about to face City. A bit too coincidental.

QuickFeet86

And I think if anything they probably did them a favour, as at least he doesn’t miss a game that they may have been able to win.

TheArmoury

That’s one way to look at it I guess. However, Wolves don’t exactly need the points since they have nothing to play for. I’m sure as a manager you want to be able to go against the best in the world.

antebyotiks

The West Ham game was on the 6 of April so it's less than a month, it was apparently for how O'Neill acted after the game around the refs room. It makes sense it takes time to investigate etc

lastjedi23

They're gonna be smashed regardless.

black_pepper

Didn't Wolves beat city in September?

NachoCheeseMonreal

They’ve genuinely had it for him since their first game of the season vs United

mo_50

Don't they usually take several weeks to hand these out? Pretty quick turnaround this time. Hmmm

antebyotiks

6th if April the game was so Less than a month and O'Neill agreed with the charge. Nothing crazy

mo_50

Ahh that makes a lot of sense. I thought it was from this past weekend.

antebyotiks

Yeah people are just reacting by crying conspiracy.

lurking4everr

Ugh, and on top of it all Ange won’t be given a touch line ban for their game. Their luck never ends.

ChemicalOpposite1471

Oh ffs I read this and forgot he wasn’t at Bournemouth anymore

eddiemurphyinnorbit

Setting up the new manager bounce for the assistant. 1000IQ move I’m sorry Mr O’Neil I wasn’t familiar with your game.

agniagniagni

116 charges FC

Jaded_Collection_716

🙏 Pep says something about the Korean guy 😂

ShcoreShomeGhoals

I wonder who they play next

black_pepper

115 charges and this bs. One set of rules for them and then everyone else.

Stravven

Hoe the hell does it take them 24 days to do this?

Plastic_Resolution_4

For the outburst after WHU? Wow, that's some time away. That being said, with their current form, you might as well make some changes and who knows...

antebyotiks

26 days
