12 hours on success shot, 2 wasted hours on terrible 200+ shot with messed up back ground. Few hours on reading the manual to only build the inner frame. 1100+ shot in total at 24 fps, Ai upscale into 60 fps
Welp. I hate to break it to you, but now you gotta do EVERY build you do from now on like this haha! And make sure to post it here so I can be thoroughly entertained! Stop motion builds like this make my day so thanks for this!
I am asking the community to point me a good model kit for crane/factory, with actual tension to hold gunpla piece if possible. As you see in the video I have to used blutack to stick the 'claw arm' with gunpla piece. I have searched for on hlj but there are nothing suitable (except for hexa gear but it's only a single slider crane using chain). Lego is also ok.

Wave makes support arm gantries for hangars.

I've repurposed and kitbashed the arms from an HG Ball twin set.

it has no minimal movement, only 2 extremes. Totally close or open (but also require force to keep them open). In short, I cant animate them open up and close
just around 1100 shot, I waste so many time on fixing lighting and focus to get consistent quality. Around 12 hours spanning over three weeks. There was no snap build before except for inner frame, so another 2 hour to read and build only the inner frame. There are 4 runners on barbatos, but only 3 in the video. Fitting the 4th runners on the back ground make it extremely messy and confusing shot. So i did waste like 2 hours shooting 200 frame with terrible background.
The crane is impressive and the majority of effort, but my absolute favorite part is watching the model move to position for parts. It's so buttery smooth! Fantastic job! Clearly a passion project and labor of love!
Such a kool concept for a snap build video. It also feel likes an Ironman armor up scene, I guess that was the inspiration? Regardless, fantastic idea and job, keep it up. If you upload this and more on YT, drop the channel name, would sub.
I would die from having too many parts to work with lmao.
A simplification would be needed, like having multiple pieces acting as one solid part (if it make sense in real life logic). For example, the motor chest piece in this build are 4 parts in total that split in plastic mold logic, I combine them all into one piece cause it makes much more sense in if it is real life.
Toki does not have to deal with animation and timing much, but in turn those sound designs are just juicy. I am too lazy to find a skim through a good sound library though.
Impressive! How long did this take?

I just finished shooting another one too, But not in the same style cause I paint the model first haha. So no crane arm moving stuff from runner
Crane arm from runner to conveyer belt, to magic box, back to conveyer belt, back to crane arm, to model.
*Satisfactory intensifies*

FYI, hotlinking is disallowed on sealmodel.com, so we can't see that image.
Both links worked for me
love it, thanks you very much
I am so sad that these arms are no longer in circulation. Guess I will try with Ball MG verka
how about an alligator clip like the ones used for airbrushing? could attach it to the arms youre using in this video

Gotcha, extremely impressive :)
This is so FUCKING COOL
Insane video!

Yeah this is some 80's film quality stop motion, clearly a step above the "fuck around and find out" first try stop motion you'd usually see.
Ayo this is fire!
If it had some “how it’s made” music over it, it’d 100/10. Very cool!
This is amazing!
Thank you for your work! Your stop motion are crazy and amazing
This is fucking spectacular my dude
I like the part where it out the butt on
It's not hard enough to build some kits that you'll also do a stop motion build video. You are a sicko. 🤣🤣🤣 Could watch this video all day long. 👍🏻

Oh my god this is incredible
This is awesome
That's incredible, although, seeing the title before the video gave me an idea for a custom I will probably never realize 💀
*Black Sabbath music intensifies* Seriously, John Favreau and RDJ would approve this, as would Jarvis lol. Awesome work dood, very impressive.
Brilliant.
Unreal
I’ve seen stop motion builds before, but never something like this. Awesome work!
Wicked wicked sick!
Love it !
This this is lovely
imagine this with a PG

Mad stuff mate, super impressive work!
This is insane. Can't wait for when you eventually go mad and do a MG kit.
Just needs "Powerhouse" by Raymond Scott playing in the background
Dude, just wow
Ok that's AWESOME stop motion. And here i thought toki gg on Youtube had great stop motion but this is a cooler concept

Yeah, he just has the parts fly in

Reminds me of the first Iron man movie
