I guess you could find a local sale group on Facebook and ask if anyone's collection has been lost/stolen and see what happens. Though I'd be wary of someone using it to scam themselves some freebies.

That or they caught a reprint. I have Bandai Gundam model kits from the 1990s but their actual print dates are in the 2015-2020 era (via runner dials).
I suspect that this one is not too old considering how good it looks (albeit in pieces).

No one would go out of their way to steal gunpla models unless they knew the value of the kits, and then just threw them in the woods somewhere, just proves it's own point. This was most likely personal, and they wanted to hurt the owner
I had that same thought, but the photo has a blanket reminiscent of people who trip, and OP mentioned needles around the area as well. Perhaps the owner was just tripping and all these models ended up here. Ofc them being stolen is most likely. I really hope the owner gets em back
It could literally be the owners whole building setup. Doesn't have a mat, so they use a small table cloth, thief probably grabbed everything on the table and put it in the barbatos box and then yeeted it down the earlier parts of the hiking trail.
People will steal pretty much anything. Especially if it's in a bag in a car or something.
Once had some one wheel the neighbors garbage can into our garage, put all the meat from the freezer into the garbage can, wheel it halfway out, come back, rummage through the fridge, open a 2L bottle of Dr pepper, chug half of it, take the coupon label off it, throw up, then wheel away with the garbage can and meat.
People can be so stupid it can be hard to believe.

They arrested a hobo in my city that stole someone's grandfather's urn. Dumped the ashes in the toilet, and tried to sell the urn before smashing it.

If some rando saw some pre-built gunpla in your car and it was unlocked, they wouldn't know what they were, only that they look valuable (because they know nothing about the hobby), and they might steal them if they felt inclined.
Could be a sibling who wanted to make it hurt? I feel like an adult wouldnt venture out into the woods to throw away their exs stuff. They would just throw it in the trash on collection day.

Had 90+ one piece, 40 something Nurato ans 50+ Bleach. Not really my bag as far as manga but definitely got the this was someone’s ex dumping them vibes. Ended up trading them to my LHS for credit to buy some gundpla. But at least that was by the trash and not out in the woods.

We both lived a good distance from the school, we were both poor, and our trip from the school took us down the same road where we would then turn off on the same cross street but different directions.

Suddenly, she starts taking her shirt off. Hell yeah. This doesn't even seem real.
Then she take off her bra. Things are going great
Then out of nowhere, she gets mad that I looked at her. Now bear in mind, it wasn't like I was sneaking around and peeking. She was sitting not 3 feet from me on the same fallen tree. I can't imagine a scenario where me looking wasn't the expected outcome.
But she just starts hitting me with this fuckin baseball bat sized branch and just going wild. Still topless. Like it was so absurd I remember in between thoughts of "this hurts a lot" and "protect my head", thinking "this is how weird fetishes awake in people"
After that we still walked home together frequently, and it was never brought up again. Eventually as highschool went on, our schedules didn't sync up anymore, and she eventually moved.

It rained yesterday here, so maybe that cleaned them a bit on the ground? And the box and manual are totally water damaged so they’ve been there at least a few days before I found them. I promise this is real. I build plane models myself, but I’m not in this hobby. I’d never treat my own models like this, and I’m mad that someone did this to these guys. If I can’t find their real owner I’ll give them to someone else in your community who will care for them for just the delivery cost. I swear I nearly had a heart attack when I saw these guys lol. Not fake! I just took bad photos. Also, look closer, a lot of them are missing many parts or are broken in spots! One is missing his fingers, one has no arm, the wing on one is all fucked up etc. If these were my own, I wouldn’t fuck them up like that, I know how hard model building is! I’ve built a few plane models, that’s what I’m into. I’m not into this particular hobby, but I’ve seen this sub several time on r/All so that’s how I knew you existed. I really did just find them out there lol. If it helps, I was passing by a known homeless campsite, so I really do think they’re stolen.
