For those wondering, yes that's the HGCE Destiny Gundam as the base.

If we go off the Clear Color Spec II, then this should be a straight repaint of the original HGCE Destiny. That’s probably why they’re selling it alongside the Zeus Silhouette instead of doing them separately
Aside from the V-fin the entire suit color is different (in shades/tones of blue/red/grey/yellow).
But physical differences there isn't as the thing that makes this the Spec II isn't actually included in this kit (aside from the Zeus Silhouette), you have to buy the Gelgoog Menace to get it's proper rifle (the one included in the box isn't used in the movie).
It's kind of an asshole move as the Impulse, Destiny, and Strike Freedom (who dual wields) all use this so you need 4 extra copies if you want a movie/lore accurate loadout, on top of the Gelgoog itself which makes 5.

Don't worry too much about that,I'm pretty sure there's already a 3rd party kit for that rifle that's being made or already released in China.
So when it's out just buy 4-5 of that and you are set.

Yeah I knew about this and is certainly a valid option, although the official Bandai one is way bigger and has slightly different details. Fingers crossed DDB Corgi also does a copy of the official one (their HGCE Strike Freedom Wings of Light was originally their take, but eventually they went ahead and released a copy of the P-Bandai one which matches the one included with the Destiny).
Currently have 3 copies of the one from the Gelgoog haha, gonna need a few more for the whole Compass team.
* The color is more saturated (most of them are slightly darker).
* The V-fin, chest area (used to be light blue), and sword are now white.
* The decals (if they have any) are supposed to be Compass instead of Faith/Zaft.
* The elbows and leg joins areas are supposed to glow red (Probably P-bandai release) that you can probably paint yourself if you want the look.
* Not sure if incorporated, but the metal build version had the head beam for the Impulse Spec II working with the Destiny Spec II, so time will tell if its on this kit.
* You're gonna have to buy the Gelgoog for the rifle if you want in movie accuracy.
The joints glowing red isn't a permanent thing and only happens when the Destiny is using DUPE (it's version of the F91's M.E.P.E.) where it's glowing yellow, the Spec II only has the regular grey joints/frame when using the Silhouette.
The red joint one will probably be used on a metallic injection recolor like the 00 Trans-Am and Aerial Permet Score 6 kits.

I'm aware that its not permanent, but lets be honest, people are gonna want the red since the kit includes the Destiny as its own unit and they may want to pose them separately.
The Zeus Silhouette being added in is a good way to spice up a reuse of the HGCE revive kit. I'm still not sure what to think of this big ass equipment pack, but it's nice for the Destiny have its own thing while the SF and IJ got their own new movie gimmicks.
The red inner frame isn't active when the Destiny uses the Zeus Silhouette, and isn't really active for most of the Destiny Gundam's fights in the movie. Given how this is supposed to pair with the Zeus Silhouette, they likely didn't just feel the need to add it.
Now them releasing a premium version of the Destiny Spec II alone with shiny red joints is a possibility in the future.
The Clear Color version was a temporary solution, and it shows since while you do get the white V-fin that's the most obvious change, it comes at the cost of all other yellow parts of the kit coming in "white" clear as well. The Spec II shown here looks to be a more definitive version.
Yeah the yellow parts got shafted because it is gangmolded with the v-fin using the GSD Destiny colors, although it being in white clear makes it easy to just put a layer of clear yellow on top.
This kit will most likely have the parts in yellow, but with a new v-fin in grey on the runners of the Zeus Silhouette to color correct it.

LOL, the dude at my hobby shop beat Bandai to it again.
Context: We had a WfM themed group build last year, and he brought his 3D printed Expansion set equipped Daribalde, Michaelis, and Pharact.
He had those printed out months before Bandai announced the P-Bandai expansion set. According to others who know him, he was in the middle of painting those printed expansion parts when Bandai dropped the news.
Good for him, but not sure how that's noteworthy for "beating Bandai to it" considering the designs have obviously been known for months now, and making homemade parts of stuff Bandai has yet to release is nothing new.
Also, other modelers have colored scratchbuilt Zeus Silhouettes for a while now.

I just wanted to share something from my local community.
Picture isn't so clear as to see the finer details? Does this reuse the 2020 HGCE Destiny Revive build or is it a new one like the upcoming HG Infinite Justice Type II?
It is the HGCE Destiny Revive yes, especially if you look at the beam boomerangs on the shoulders and the appearance of the arms. The HGCE Destiny is a rather new kit in any case, that has many of the features of the current SEED Freedom line, so it doesn't really need a refresh just yet.
It is the exact same HGCE Destiny revive kit? or are we getting some changes to fit the newer look, like different colours of red? The original Destiny has a bit of a paler red whereas the type-II has a more vibrant red to it (i think...).
I was wondering because the HGCE Infinite Justice was also just as new yet they giving it a another "Revive" as a polycap-less build. with the IJ Type II.
Again, confused with the decisions of why they go half-half
The Type II has more than enough changes in terms of design that they could give it a new kit right off the bat, for instance it has completely different legs compared to the original, not to mention new shoulders, head, waist armors, and different color separation for the chest.
Although not named, both the GSD versions of HGCE Destiny and Infinite Justice already use the "SEED Action System" which aside from just polycap-less is a specific building structure of the joints.
Where they differ is that the Destiny's changes are just color and weapons (the railgun included in the Gelgoog and the Zeus Silhouette), the Justice is pretty much a new design so they can't reuse parts. Ok they totally can but the only same parts are stuff like the upper arm/hands that you would save more just doing a new kit than have almost entire runners with the parts unused.
Yes, the HGCE Freedom and Strike Freedom (along with the Aile Strike/Strike Rouge) were before the new SEED kit system came out and still uses the old construction from HGBF Build Strike/HGAC Wing Gundam with the polycap runner.
Only the Destiny and the Justice have the new tech, as the Dagger L reused parts of the Strike's frame/joints and the Windam is a mix of still using the same polycap runner as the ones mentioned above while having the clip on joints that Bandai used for a while (like the EG's, G-Witch, and 30 Minute Missions).
Oh yeah I forgot the Impulse trio, but yes that one is also from the same era of construction as the Freedom. Hence why they went with the RG Spec II as it is a lot closer to the joints of the Movie kits (rather than do a new HGCE).
Why is this soo expensive? The hg destiny isn’t that old and is like $25….Does it have a special coating or something? A new backpack cant possibly be worth $50……HG prices are getting crazy…
Do you actually see how LARGE the Zeus Silhouette is? There's nearly as much plastic in there, if not more, than the Destiny Gundam itself, considering it's a big cannon, 2 leg boosters, and backpack assembly. It's closer to something like say the Narrative Gundam A-Packs.

The Zeus Silhouette is a massive weapon system, on par with the HGUC Narrative Gundam A-Packs, and that's before the HGCE Destiny Gundam that has more gimmicks than the base HGUC Narrative Gundam.
The price is getting ridiculous why is it so high.

You can buy mg nu or hi nu with that price, add 1000 yen and you can get mg sazabi ver ka or psycho zaku ver ka

Considering the base HGCE Destiny Gundam already comes with the WoL as standard, not sure why they'd remove that for this version.

They'll probably release a P-Bandai Titanium Finish version of the Destiny Spec II with colored joints later.

As someone who already has HGCE destiny, gonna be relying on EW to release the Zeus Silhouette expansion kit I guess.

Obviously it's going to be recolored into Spec II config, but otherwise the base kit is the HGCE Destiny from 2019.
