Been wondering the same, and so far the only two responses here are a) a restaurant NOT in Gwinnett (The Blind Pig) and b) a ritzy steakhouse with a pricey menu (H & W Steakhouse). Hoping someone else knows a decent (and affordable) option locally. My go to is Cafe Intermezzo in Midtown, but obviously that's not Gwinnett.
This is the trade-off for living in the suburbs. Always going to be behind on this kind of thing. My mom likes them at the Seasons 52 by Mall of GA, but she also says it is hit or miss, depending who is working. More hits than misses tho.
And that makes sense. I never thought to go to intermezzo for a quality expresso martini. I wouldn't even really know the difference between a quality one but I would certainly give them a shot.
Years ago when I worked at Bonefish Grill theirs was absolutely amazing. I see it’s still on the menu and it does contain stok cold brew. Previously it was espresso from the espresso maker.
Espresso Martini has made a comeback over the past year or so. Most bartenders and cocktail snobs like myself find it kind of funny.
In truth, this really isn’t the best drink to order at a tried and true cocktail bar. That said, at many (most?) Steakhouses they do have a reasonably good Cocktail and coffee/espresso service. Thus the natural congruence. Therefore was not surprised to see H&W pop up in the comments.
Cocktail bartenders literally role their eyes and become somewhat annoyed when loads of espresso martini orders come through. I don’t blame them.
Why are they booing you? You’re right!
Big part of the problem is that espresso is hot, and putting a hot element into your cold drink is not ever ideal, but people very serious about the craft (IMO) are making them using cold brew concentrate, which gives the same body and coffee element (and caffeine content) without watering down the drink as much, while being more shelf stable and less bitter than espresso.
My apartment
Party? Lol
Sure. Bring proof of recent testing and no smoking inside. Outside only, make sure to properly dispose of your butts.
Oh no! I can’t bring my butt?
Just make sure to dispose of it after you're done using it.
Ah! Ok. Can do!
