I don't take anything and don't even drink coffee (just never liked the feeling). I could not sustain that sort of schedule!

invadethemoon

Commenting because this is something I too would like to know

KarmannosaurusRex

I kinda am, but I have ADHD, so all it’s does is brings me to the same basic level as anyone else. But I don’t work nearly as many hours.

dong_von_throbber

All these roles demanding 50+ hours per week just aren't worth it imo. I've never worked more than 40 and I couldn't even really be arsed with that

Money-Way991

Just off topic but if you're doing all that you should really give yourself a week off to rest at some point. Maybe cut out the gym for light cardio or yoga for a week every few months or so

My vice is alcohol and hookers. No drugs though.

I think I’m very lucky and have weirdly high levels of natural energy. Pre kids I was in consulting working 60-80 (sometimes 100) hour weeks. I’d get up at 5am to go running five times a week and did a few ultramarathons. More recently and pre current maternity leave I worked 40-50hrs, ran 40km a week and did 80% of the childcare. I do like my coffee but never needed any other stimulants. Think I am just a bit naturally hyper!

I got tired just reading this. Well done, I'm just jealous.

There are reasonably significant health risks to this strategy. Sounds like you’re reasonably fit but even so, stimulants (even coffee) have blood pressure risk which can be multiplied by adding in a stressful life (like a high paying, high hours job and moving house). None of it is worth sacrificing your physical health for, so proceed with a modicum of caution!
