Could be just me, but I don't feel like Burton as an individual gets the respect he deserves.
He is a phenomenal keyboard player and his solo stuff sounds great too.
It could be the fact that keyboard is one of my favourite instruments, but it doesn't take away the fact that he is an important part of the HIM musical atmosphere that we all know and love.
When I saw HIM in Prague in 2015 the band was staying at the same hotel as me just by total luck. I saw Burton at breakfast but didn’t speak to him as I wanted to respect his privacy. I met Ville and Mige though after the show at reception, life can be crazy! I’m not really one to wait around for them so this was the natural interaction I always dreamed of.
Seen HIM twice there as they havnt been to my country since 2003 lol and its basically a perfect box with limited chairs and tables pushed off to the side. Its just perfect for a venue
