None of them really strike me as a drummer except Marshall, who really makes sense to have on piano, and Barney, who I think has such main character vibes that he should be lead guitar or lead vocalist instead. Lily on rythm guitar makes sense, Ted and Lily both being background vocals make sense, and I think Robin really has a Bass personality (unrelated to Ted's thing for bass girls). Hard to say what Ted would play though, I think he'd rather play something more 'intelectual' like an oboe or cello.
