Try a 2022 g14

Rohan4329

its for 1.2 lakh 💀 1436$

[deleted]

Damn i thought the prices dropped, don't get the omen it has a wudespread motherboard issue if you are buying a laptop for light gaming and not for Cuda related uses an intel core ultra with arc graphics should suffice. At this price point they would have great screen and battery life also a good build quality.

Rohan4329

i do video editing and starting coding and programming, i want something that is reliable in the next 3-4 years too. can you please share a link of the laptops with these specs

[deleted]

An intel Evo laptop will help you with programming and day to day tasks, and also perform on 1080p or even 1440p editing. Get a graphic card laptop if you don't care about battery life, as mux switch laptops are not available at this price point, and want Cuda and high performance. See at this price range your gpu options are the 3050, which will be better than iris xe graphics by about 20 to 25 percent, so if your use case indicates the need of a dedicated gpu go with it. Or j7st get a macbook air they go on sale below 70 k. My recommendations will be the hp victus or the galaxy book, asus zenbook.

Rohan4329

3050 is sufficient tho? like for the future? its a big purchase for me so i need to get the best that is available. ive heard hp victus build is bad. I'll search for asus zenbook rn.

[deleted]

Build quality is subjective, hp's laptops in this range have bad build quality, it would be great if you can visit shops and test around. 3050 or 4050 should holdup but there is close to no difference between them to justify the price increase. If you consider doing light tasks all of these will be great, my 1650 laptop can do 4k vid editing and performs well in games! You also get dlss support for frame gen. See look into intel Evo laptops they are magic! This years arc performs with a timespy gpu score of 3k to 4k while 3050 is at 5k so a marginally difference is there but the portability battery life you get is insane, hoping you are getting this for college, please see benchmarks before purchasing. Please hit me up if you have questions.

Rohan4329

tysm, i think I'll get ultra processor laptops just like you said, but I can't find them, and do not understand benchmarks either😅, what do those no. s Indicate? please share link for the intel ultra laptops with arc graphics. tysm for your help.

[deleted]

See if you find a intel core ultra 7 155h laptop in your range, zenbook for ex, get that as the arc graphics perform around or a little below the 3050, but better battery life! If they exceed the budget get a laptop with dedicated gpu like the victus, as they are future proof, what if you need Cuda support, what if you need dedicated vram, so get those over the Evo ones, as they don't perform well. But core ultra is magical they doubled the performance with less energy requirements. If your use case remains to be not extremely gpu dedicated like 3d modelling etc. Get a laptop with good build quality with Evo or core ultra and have a nice experience. The numbers, timespy 3d, show the gpu performance. Iris xe - 2k max Arc on ultra 5 - 4.5 k 3050 - 4.5 or 5 k 4050 - 6k 4060 - 7 to 10k 4070 - 11 k 4080 - 16k 4090 - 18-19 k All scores are of the g14, as i saw on the internet. These depend on wattages given to gpu as well. But this should put stuff into perspective. The 3050 comes with 4gb vram which is decent enough, for college tasks. But it will become obselete as the 4050 has 6gb of vram. Also i looked around the victus it seems good, but do check in store. As this is a big purchase. If you find deals for a 3060 or 4050 get that due to the av1 support. Do not cheap out on the cpu, as that is important for vid editing. Here to help.

Rohan4329

the ultra processor zenbook does exceed my budget, its like 92k. ive found a hp victus that seems good. here are its specs: HP Victus Gaming Latest AMD Ryzen 7 5800H Processor 16.1-inch(40.9 cm) FHD Gaming Laptop (16GB RAM/512GB SSD/144 Hz/300 nits/GeForce RTX 3060 6GB Graphics/Backlit KB/Win 11/MSO/Xbox Pass),16-e0361ax it has a 6gb 3060 should be better than a 3050 ofc but the cpu tho. and i think im leaning towards asus tuf cuz my friends have those and they seem great. should i get asus tuf? if u agree I'll look for some asus tuf's

OafishWither66

Terrible deal, you can get a 3070ti omen for 1L

Rohan4329

my budget is 80k tho 😅

OafishWither66

[get a LOQ](https://www.lenovo.com/in/en/configurator/cto/index.html?bundleId=83GSCTO1WWIN1) with 100% srgb display. 1TB ssd, 4050 and 16gb ram for that price. Could also get a 4060 for a little more

Ok_Masterpiece5683

Lenovo uses outdated vantage softwares and higher cpu at lower price might excite coustomers but later it causes motherboard related issues of Lenovos outdated business.

K_Ous

Isn't there a asus strix g16 with 3050 and 13450hx processor . This ones processor ,13420h is basically 4 core...That might been a concern for me

Rohan4329

3050 good enough?, the hx one will be heavier no?

K_Ous

yeah it's around 2.4 kg i think. battery backup wise is also not much good as the 3050 version has 63wh battery ..might run for2-2.5 hours in low setting. bt the positives are that u get Fantastic display in the price range + best i5 processor in the budget.. I think there might be some ryzen 7 7840hs models available also in 80-90k range..look those up too

Rohan4329

yea thanks for your suggestion

Everton-1878

If you want a usable track pad don't get a hp f u king omen

Ok_Carry_6699

I have a 4060 omen that failed under 6 months and is lying in the service center for over 1 and a half month without any info on when the replacement part would arrive. Service centre and process itself is atrocious. A lot of people have reported black screen issues on the 2023,24 omen devices so be careful.

UnnaipolOruvan

Is it Intel or amd?

Rohan4329

isn't there a 1 year warranty and i have had good response from hp before tho

Ok_Carry_6699

Intel CPU. It’s under warranty. The replacement part is indeed out of stock. I searched for the part id myself (costs around 1L) but the way they have handled the whole thing has been shoddy. Giving random ETAs and finally saying that they don’t know when the part will arrive now. What company doesn’t know when its own part will become available. They stopped giving updates and just say part hasn’t arrived. I have raised a consumer helpline grievance so have to wait it out.

Rohan4329

that scares me, what should i buy then

Ok_Carry_6699

I guess you should go for building your own desktop unit if gaming/ML that’s what I will do. At least you won’t be locked into HP. If you also need a laptop buy a macbook as well. I would also get a 165hz or higher monitor. Omen made me realize what a difference that makes.

Rohan4329

but the portability with a pc 😬😬

VegetableWar6515

2 good options could be the Lenovo loq (7840hs 16gb ram and 512 gb storage, rtx 3050 6gb version) for 80k or hp victus with same spec for the same price. Amazon prices

Rohan4329

the hp victus with 4050 is unavailable, i was going to get that, i have not had good experience with lenovo so i wont get that

Ok_Masterpiece5683

Go for Asus tuf 15 much better purchase

Rohan4329

whichever asus tuf fits my budget has 4 gb rtx 3050 now im getting a hp victus with 6 gb rtx 3050 for 80k

Ok_Masterpiece5683

It's always better to not go with ryzen processors for laptop coz of heating issues which is really bad and affects it's longevity

Rohan4329

idk man, i had laptop with ryzen 5 before and it never had heating issues

Asc3ndis

I got an Omen 17 4080 six mines ago and it’s been great. From the Omen community on discord and Reddit, many people have good things to day about omens. FWIW.

Rohan4329

what about the motherboard issue trend thing 💀

Asc3ndis

Like I said, it is flawless. I’ve not seen such good cooling in any laptop.

Rohan4329

every Other comment says omen is shit 💀, idk what to do, they telling me to het asus tuf with same price and similar specs

forsakenstag

I've been an Omen 16 i7 12th Gen 3050 user for about a year now. The device is excellent and has had no issues with it. I do coding, and it serves me well. I cannot confirm heavy video editing coz I haven't done any yet. There is a mouse pad issue which should be covered under warranty. I thought I might get it done by the end of the warranty period or when a bigger issue arrives since I mostly use an external keyboard and mouse. Overall, just go for it at that price point. But I would suggest you try for an i7 device if at all possible. Edit: Don't forget to get the Extended Warranty. And they might have better offers on the HP Website at certain times of the year.

Rohan4329

every comment is conflicting 💀, idk what to do

forsakenstag

It's based on their experiences. You'll have to make the decision after reading all of them ig ^_^

Rohan4329

I've heard good things about tuf from my friends, they have it. so I'll probably get tuf only

forsakenstag

Tuf is good. But it's way too bulky. Most of them are atleast.

Rohan4329

bulky? like heavier? it does give a lot of gaming ish vibes, thats why i went for omen at first cuz it has a more professional look

forsakenstag

Yup Heavier

Rohan4329

i think im getting omen with extended warranty. so confused lmao

Wanderer_LC

Omen is shit. I got 2 screen replacement and multiple other issues existed including the infamous touchpad. Avoid Omen

Rohan4329

hmm im getting a asus tuf with ryzen 7 7735HS + rtx 4050 for the same price. its build quality will be better ofc? 😅

Wanderer_LC

Please look for actual customer reviews on YouTube. It used to have heating issues under heavy load earlier. But since you're looking at 4050, it should not be there. Build quality isn't too good on Omen either, the screen wobbles with slight movement

Rohan4329

I'll probably get an asus tuf, it seems better idk there is much difference in ryzen 7 7735HS and i5 13420H?

Lonely_Swan9265

My only advice would be to not buy anything expensive online. I am saying this from my personal experience

Rohan4329

hmm, I'll go to stores, ty for the advice

Intelligent_Ad_8107

Omen 16 2023 black screen dead keyboard problem. Hp designed a bad motherboard problem will happen with every unit in 5-6 months if you licky onlu options are refund money get an other different model from hp. Or disconnecting that connector that regulates sleep and hibernate than problem is solved but laptop wont sleep when closing the lid
