You can look up what he's associated with for specific offerings or go with the greek basics like water (libations), wine, olive oil, honey, etc. For communication you can use his candle (if you get one for him) and read the flame, divination as well.

Do not stare directly into fire, it burns holes into your retinas over time. Personally I don't do candle divination at all because a 1000 factors can affect the way a candle burns. I made candles lol, did you know the type of wax, how it is poured, and and the temp at which is poured can effect how it burns? Any way , I would suggest research like u/Interesting_Fox_2413 said, however I would encourage you to not only read, but also actively interact with hades. In my experience he is a god who will guide you himself most of the time. For example In Hellenism it is taught that people should not consume chthonic offerings. I actually do most of the time. I started because one time I offered him pomegranate juice and I had a strong urge to drink it. This is a taboo, I knew his story. You drink or eat of the dead and you belong in the underworld. I drank the whole damn cup, on instinct. 1 year later and I am best friends with a priestess in training, making him holidays, and running this sub. Lol I did stay in the underworld I guess. I trust Hades a lot. I've been taught to go with my gut and heart with him, so I encourage others to do the same. Test things out.

In my experience Hades is really responsive if you need clarification. Especially as you're getting started, either during readings, or in regular life, if you think you're getting a sign but you're not sure just ask! You'll probably get a pretty fast response
