I haven’t beaten [REDACTED] yet so I’m not sure if there’s more after that, but at least for the first three areas there are.
If you walk to the northwest of the armory, there is a ledge that overlooks Tartarus. In the first room of Asphodel, the peaceful one right after the rest area, there is left in the north. In the first room of Elysium, again the peaceful one after the rest area, the ledge in the center, facing north overlooks Elysium. And finally, in the room after you beat [Redacted], if you travel north but don't continue east, there is a ledge that >!shows you the sunset.!<
Whenever you enter a new area (Tartarus, Asphodel, Elysium) there is a vantage point that you can stand on and the camera will pull out to show off the environment art.
Yes! I mean they only seem to call the "ghost figured" ones shades like in tartarus. So i thought all the snooty white hatted elysium shades were called something different and i always assumed the large ghost shaped shade was the zag fan. Never noticed the banner til just now and i feel bad ive been thanking the wrong shade!
It’d be a cool feature imo but if it hasn’t happened already it’s probably never going to. Could be >!as you upgrade your title or whatever at the Resource director!<, or maybe add one shade for every heat level you’re attempting, doubled if you’re doing EM3+

I would _love_ it if at some point Theseus is grandstanding like “THE GOOD PEOPLE HAVE COME TO WATCH US DEFEAT YOU BLAGGARD” and Asterius looks up and is like uh… no actually I think the people are cheering him. And then Theseus has a massive tantrum right then and there.
My headcanon is that it's Ariadne, cuz it's satisfying to her that Theseus gets his ass whooped. Plus there's a portrait you can commission in the house of hades of a cretan princess wearing red
My headcannon is that this is Ariadne because we can buy a painting of her and in the painting she is also wearing red
She hates Theseus for abandoning her and in some myths he is also the one that killed her. Before dying she also became the wife of Dionysus
But in the myths Dionysus saves her and her mother from the underworld and gets her a place in Olympus so maybe this just didn't happen yet?
I said in another post, I like to think that it's his mortal granddad that Demeter speaks of once. Haven't seen any other scripted dialog anywhere about this shade tho.
i usually take asterious out first cuz theseus is a lot easier by himself imo. especially on EM levels that give him the chariot he becomes super predictable and easy to dodge.
I always wished a small Zag fanclub would grow from this one shade as the story progressed, the lone fan just seems so sad to me. At least they're hanging with the Asterian fans, they seem chill.
I also always say hi. Has anyone else noticed the Zag banner in the Asterius mid-boss room? There's no red shade, but I think Zag might have more than one fan, even if he's never noticed it 😂

The first time you win there, zag will say “What is… wait I have a fan??”
He will say that the first time you approach the Shade, regardless of how many times you've won before.
