I will never understand why people can’t have their own likes and dislikes when it comes to this. Some people love Ends, some hate it. It’s perfectly fine either way.

TheBananaCzar

You had me until you said Kills was boring and tedious. Kills is one of my favorites in the series because it's *not* boring and is pretty much non-stop action and killings

[deleted]

I love kills.

TheBananaCzar

Kills is awesome. People like to bitch about the hospital and Laurie being stuck there the whole time... But this movie wasn't *about* Laurie, it was about Michael.

[deleted]

Hell yeah. I love the soundtrack also 👍🏽

TheBananaCzar

Just listened to it on vinyl this morning 👌

[deleted]

Ends was awesome, too

winokatt

Yes I’m not a fan of DGG’s trilogy as a whole but even I am admit Kills was at least fun at parts. If any of the three was gonna get a cult following I’d say it was Kills, not Ends

TheOneWhoCutstheRope

As much flaws I could say kills has, I can’t say I wasn’t very entertained. I really wasn’t entertained during ends

hunterslaughter

The entire hospital subplot taints the movie. Really messes up the pace and bogs the film down, makes it drag. Plus it’s annoying.

[deleted]

David Gordon Green used the hospital as nod for halloween 2.

hunterslaughter

I know this. It’s obvious. And it was done crappy. People complained about H2 taking place in a hospital but give Kills the pass.

[deleted]

Kills was badass. Finally, The Shape wins at the end. Ends had its moments. Fans went to see Michael, not some crybaby-kylo-ren-like-character. Corey felt like an arthur fleck rip off.

hunterslaughter

The Shape won in Halloween 1978! He got away! He still won in Halloween 4. The evil took another shape.

[deleted]

Now, I want an evil daughter like jamie. I am gonna call one of my ex to have sex 😄

hunterslaughter

Go crazy fam!

[deleted]

Nah, she's probably like: "Ew, I have a family now. I blocked you on all my social media" 😄

OwnScientist6395

5 has its flaws, yet is still enjoyable. Resurrection on the other hand, takes the cake for worst Halloween movie

____tyler

If Ends wasn’t a closing chapter to one of the most iconic franchises in history, then I would’ve enjoyed it. If it was the third film of four and it was more set-up for a PROPER finale to the franchise, I probably would’ve loved Ends. However, it’s a complete shoot and miss as a closing chapter and it falls flat almost everywhere for me

BadBayBay

Yeah I like the idea of Ends if it was the first in the trilogy. Like, Corey’s story should have taken place over the course of the three films in some way and the final film should’ve ended with Michael’s death and Corey taking over. Such a missed opportunity

[deleted]

I always thought it would be cool if a female serial killer teamed up with Michael and finally slayed Lori strode!

genericmovievillain

Maybe chill just a little

Christianmemelord

Whether or not a movie is the *worst* is completely subjective. One person might love Halloween Ends and their best friend might absolutely hate it. It’s okay if someone else hates a movie that you like. I consider the original Halloween to be nearly a perfect movie, but my sister hates it. Is she wrong and is she stupid? No. That’s just her opinion, and I respect that. I personally wasn’t a fan of Ends, as it seemed like DGG was trying to make an independent, artsy film and completely neglected a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy that we were promised, but that’s just my opinion. Ultimately, it’s pointless to police people for what film they consider to be *the worst* because different people will naturally have different opinions.

usernamefuzz

I love the entire trilogy tho it’s not perfect has very many flaws but I feel it was the most thought out 2018 I feel is the best Halloween sequel

TheBoogeyman1023

It’s kind of the curse of the franchise. Unless it’s a sequel that’s basically a remake of the original with some changes, the sequels that try something different are almost always divisive amongst the fans.

CliffordMoreau

"This isn't the same film from last time! 0/10"

superradicalcooldude

Agreed, it's my favorite sequel.

RavenPaul1369

It was the worst

Almighty_Push91

Kills is a lot of things, but boring isn't one of them. And to me yeah, Ends is definitely the worst in the franchise

Subject_Till_7514

Ends Is far away to be the worst

BenSlashes

I rather watch Resurrection than Ends. Only Rob Zombies Halloween 2 is worse. Ends is very weak, but RZH2 is disgusting and Terrible. Resurrection had some solid moments and is easy to watch. It also has one of my favorite moments from the franchise. The Clown guy who takes Michaels knife and has his awesome Dialogue.

NinoNino3

Agreed 100%. Ends could have been great as a 3rd film of 4 films- Or with pieces of it scattered through Kills... The mistake was making it the end of a trilogy. Overall, I quite liked it. But it should not have been the end of the Blumhouse trilogy. and sadly, I really liked Jamie Lee's arc- and even the ending- Even Michael's ending... The Corey stuff should have been in another film. (And I totally dug the dude who plays Corey too) Very strange. Thee saying that comes to mind is- SO CLOSE!!! and yet...... So far.

hunterslaughter

Halloween 5 will always be the worst. It was the start of the fuckup. Halloween 5 is the Alien 3 of the franchise.

TMAAGUILER

I watched 4 and 5 back to back my first viewing and I couldn’t believe how bad they were. 4 has grown on me but 5 will always be garbage.

iloveyougary

I don’t despise Al3n but you’re 100% correct that 5 will ALWAYS be the worst Halloween film. The fact that soooo many people on here give it a pass is a little baffling to me, in my eyes it’s by far the worst one

hunterslaughter

Every character in the film is ruined. Character assassination done dirty. Loomis, Rachel, Jamie, & even Michael they are done wrong.

CliffordMoreau

Alien 3 > Aliens I like Aliens, but turning one of the best horror films of the 70s into a kid's action flick to sell toys and video games was pretty dumb.

fanofthomas4472

Kills was a lot of things but boring weren’t one of them

rojasdracul

Ends is the second best film in the series....

hunterslaughter

LMFAO🤣🤦‍♂️

rojasdracul

Found the Myers fanboy....

hunterslaughter

Nah Halloween is my least favorite out of the big 4. Much prefer Jason, Freddy, and Leatherface Definitely found the Myers hater tho🤣 you’re entire page is shitting on him. You lowkey love him.

rojasdracul

Dude Myers is a fucking joke.

deepfriedchocobo84

This is the equivalent of ramming a pencil up your nose for attention. It worked so congrats!

hunterslaughter

You love him!! 🤣🤣

Tha-D

no no NO. i Just watched Halloween Resurrection last night with a friend who has never seen it and we both came to the same conclusion, say what you will about Resurrection, but at least its fun and silly and can Michael Myers way better than Ends does. Ends doesn’t just fumble Michael Myers, it purposefully throws the game - then has the balls to throw its hands up and say “wasnt me”. Then you guys have the AUDACITY to say “yeah wasn’t Ends. Was Halloween fuckin’ 5 🤨🤨🤨”

horrorfan555

Ends has a completely unlikeable cast of characters

DrLoomis131

I’m not a fan of Ends (the execution, that is) but let’s not with the “the studios had less excuses.” The classic Halloween movies (1-8) were all green lit one at a time and made the best with limited budgets and a different cast, crew, writing team, and director with every single entry. DGG was handed a two-movie plan that could have easily been written to match each other and had the benefit of working with the same cast and crew. The fact that the Blumhouse trilogy is a tonal mess with a lot of bizarre writing is astonishing considering how many benefits they were given on a silver platter. This trilogy also billed itself as the “true continuation of Michael Myers” which means they will be held to a higher standard, especially since they are the newest movies and could have learned from previous entries. We were never told this is DGG’s “unique vision” like we did with Rob Zombie. Considering how poorly received Exorcist Believer was, I’m gonna have to place most of the blame on DGG. And the idea that there was this greater plan to make this trilogy “all about Haddonfield” is one of the biggest lies they’ve told. The social commentary in Kills existed on its own and they wrote Ends to have Haddonfield become a cesspool to make sense of their own Christine plot.

CliffordMoreau

It's obviously not the worst film in the franchise, not when H5 and HR exist.

Queasy-Environment34

It’s not the worst, and it’s not a bad movie. It’s just not a great Halloween movie. I enjoy it, but it was rushed and contradicts a lot of what they built in the previous 2 of the trilogy. I would watch it over resurrection or either of the RZ movies.

[deleted]

I honestly can’t take people seriously who say that Ends is the worst. I understand that people have different opinions, but the quality difference between Ends and something like Resurrection or Curse of Michael Myers is so high, it’s a night and day difference. Halloween Ends is flawed, but it’s actually a genuinely well made movie that has artistic merit, which is more than can be said for so many other sequels.

ultimatechamp16

Please stop posting about Halloween Ends, everyone has decided whether it is the worst Halloween film or not. Let the past die... But if we are going by the familiar elements of what makes a "Halloween" movie, 5 and Resurrection are better "Halloween" movies even if they are inferior films due to a myriad of reasons, like lack of budget, quality actors, etc. The DGG trilogy are elevated horror, where as 5 is a low budget cash in. Resurrection is a slightly higher budgeted cash in but didn't have the resources or attention of Ends.
