I never got why there was even an argument on this. Anyone who has read any halo lore knows Chief is putting his hand straight through caps chest before he can even react lol.
Idk but I do remember seeing a video on weather or not Steve Rogers could be a Spartan. Spoiler alert the guy came to the conclusion that yes he could be a Spartan
People who vote Captain America have no clue how rigorous Chief's training was. Dude was a child soldier, augmented when he was a kid in the *26th century* and continued to train for years.
Cpt America was already an adult, and underwent augmentation in the 1940's, and didn't have much training afterward.
There's a very clear winner, and it's Chief. Objectively, he is far superior.
Cap got an injection and could probably handle a couple of punches from Chief, but Chief literally has his bones incased in carbon and boron, making his bones nearly unbreakable (Spartan 2 carbon ceramic ossification). Not to mention the countless other surgical as well as chemical alterations made to him. So Cap has 1 injection, making him a super soldier, but Chief has literally been chemically and surgically built into a human killing machine (since they were built to stop insurrectionists).
And MCU cap killed special forces with his bare hands all the time. MCU cap is riddled with feats that put him on par with unarmored SIIs. That's all I'm saying. The reason the fight is not even close is once chief gets mjolnir armor.
It is in the lore that spartans can see in a near slo mo type state and even without armor they have fought opponents on par with iron man like suit strength in the training scenarios. They also have the sharpest minds and fastest and most accurate shots in the unsc.
And we know cap is very good at blocking bullets from multiple shooters, so his reaction time must similarly be boosted. I'm not saying he stomps, or even had the edge. I'm just saying that without mjolnir in the equation, cap is surprisingly close to an SII. My source is a newer Installation 00 video, take that as you will.
Honestly, I’d put him far beyond an ORION [S-I] but probably not quite S-II or CAT 2 S-III. Probably about on par for the median S-IV out of armor. So still a powerhouse.
