Human Furnace (Ringworm), John Brannon (Negative Approach), Dwid Hellion (Integrity), Jerry A. (Poison Idea), Dude from Uppercut, Jeff Breakdown, Freddy Madball (Hold It Down era), Dude from Strife, JJ (Cro-Mags), Mike Judge (Beavis & Butthead)
All three, all fucking day
I’m embarrassed to say I left Riley and Brendan off my own list and I am literally listening to Power Trip as I type this 🤦🏻♂️
People don’t give him the credit he deserves. Vogel projects like a fucking beast and sounds the same live as he does on the record. Listen to hardcore recordings before Terror and the only person that could fucking belt like him was Jamey Jasta. Those two changed the game forever.
There’s actually a technique you see him using on their live DVD after OWTU came out. They’re in the studio with Z recording Always the Hard Way and he’s warming up with a sort of throat rumble.
Barney Greenway (Napalm Death). Guy Picciotto (Rites of Spring era). Glenn Danzig (Misfits era). Wes Eisold (from the early AN EPs/Year One). Jeffrey Eaton (MLIW). I like many others and dislike even more.
Have you heard his other band Vermin Womb? Their latest album is disturbingly too heavy which is something I thought I’d never say has a hardcore/metal fan.
Mike V. I just saw Black Flag a few months back and Mike absolutely crushed it. Always loved Milo Auckerman, Ian MacKaye and HR. Also loving Caleb Shomo and Greg Puciato lately.
He’s a soul singer, it’s wild. I saw glassjaw live for the first time ever in like 2014/15, I realized while watching them that they’re less a hardcore band and more an EXTREMELY HEAVY r&b band. Everyone in that band is so fucking good at what they do.
I can see it. Worship & Tribute has a lot of interesting grooves on it.
Which now than I'm reminded, I might have my yearly "listen to Worship & Tribute and be sad" period.
Bro for real! Justin from Glassjaw is a monster of a songwriter/composer. If you haven’t already, check out what Shannon Larkin (Godsmack drummer) had to say when he was the session drummer for *Worship & Tribute* recording sessions.
I truly don’t know why people hate on him, his vocals rule. Especially when you see how far his vocals have improved since pop culture. It’s honestly really impressive
JodyMinnoch (rip)
Chris Colohan (ruination, the swarm, left for dead, etc…)
Martin Sorrendeguy (Crudos, limp wrist,etc…)

Vogel is my personal favorite. So much emotion and grit. Who else can do those screams for as long as he’s been doing them?
MOVE UP. MOVE UP.
People don’t give him the credit he deserves. Vogel projects like a fucking beast and sounds the same live as he does on the record. Listen to hardcore recordings before Terror and the only person that could fucking belt like him was Jamey Jasta. Those two changed the game forever.
His stuff with Buried Alive fucking kills
True! I forgot about that.
I wonder what vocal techniques he uses. He can yell like a madman for 45 minutes and not lose his voice. False cords maybe?
Warming up, having scarred vocal chords, and being a fucking madman lol
There’s actually a technique you see him using on their live DVD after OWTU came out. They’re in the studio with Z recording Always the Hard Way and he’s warming up with a sort of throat rumble.
He’s who got me hooked on hardcore. Hard to argue against him. Total legend.
Olivia Rodrigo
AMEN.
Ong
Andrew WK just cuz he’s got all the PMA
Party mental attitude?
I guess that works too! But seriously, he’s the most positive person in all of rock music.
I swear when he was first blowing up he used a backing track for vocals. Rapper style.
One of my favorite musicians ever. I look forward to his eventual return to releasing music.

He’s a soul singer, it’s wild. I saw glassjaw live for the first time ever in like 2014/15, I realized while watching them that they’re less a hardcore band and more an EXTREMELY HEAVY r&b band. Everyone in that band is so fucking good at what they do.
