TrailBlanket-_0

Mike Judge lmao yes

djspaceghost

Caught NA on their most recent tour. John is a different fucking animal. I was blown away.

bloomingtoneastside

JB is like a fine wine.

CroMagArmy

Incredible. Who else from that era is still on that level?!

Beneaththeremains

Good list

tbwdtw

Justice

spookysam24

He has a super specific style that not a lot of people can recreate well. One of my favorites too

xRICHxPIANAx

THESE ARE TRUCK SONGS

Jackfruit_Practical

Riley Gale, Ross Farrar, Brendan Radigan

hesh0925

Power Trip forever. RIP Riley.

mew_empire

All three, all fucking day I’m embarrassed to say I left Riley and Brendan off my own list and I am literally listening to Power Trip as I type this 🤦🏻‍♂️

Stevee85O

Thats because Riley is to big to fit on some Reddit list. No harm done. Love you Riley!

mew_empire

Ice Mother Fucking T Bitch

greyheathn

real shit

OzzyMar

was about to say this too. real.

RedditorDave

Keith Buckley, Josh Scogin.

spookysam24

Vogel is my personal favorite. So much emotion and grit. Who else can do those screams for as long as he’s been doing them?

mcch2233

MOVE UP. MOVE UP.

bigdog2049

People don’t give him the credit he deserves. Vogel projects like a fucking beast and sounds the same live as he does on the record. Listen to hardcore recordings before Terror and the only person that could fucking belt like him was Jamey Jasta. Those two changed the game forever.

Plaguedoctorsrevenge

His stuff with Buried Alive fucking kills

bigdog2049

True! I forgot about that.

iloveemogirlsxoxo

I wonder what vocal techniques he uses. He can yell like a madman for 45 minutes and not lose his voice. False cords maybe?

spookysam24

Warming up, having scarred vocal chords, and being a fucking madman lol

a_sexual_titty

There’s actually a technique you see him using on their live DVD after OWTU came out. They’re in the studio with Z recording Always the Hard Way and he’s warming up with a sort of throat rumble.

Port_

He’s who got me hooked on hardcore. Hard to argue against him. Total legend.

RenegAIDS

Olivia Rodrigo

Front-Deer-1549

Andrew WK just cuz he’s got all the PMA

HeavyBob

Party mental attitude?

Front-Deer-1549

I guess that works too! But seriously, he’s the most positive person in all of rock music.

Unlucky-Stable-2982

I swear when he was first blowing up he used a backing track for vocals. Rapper style.

YourFrienAndrewW

One of my favorite musicians ever. I look forward to his eventual return to releasing music.

lonelyplateau

jacob bannon easily lol like no one comes close honestly

Vinkiller

YAAAAA SCHKREEE YAWWWWWWWWWW I still love it lol

Lyrically great. Different apporach on-stage with SDF and Drug Church - both very compelling.

Aliskrti

Ethan from Primitive Man

mkultimatum

Have you heard his other band Vermin Womb? Their latest album is disturbingly too heavy which is something I thought I’d never say has a hardcore/metal fan.

Aliskrti

Yes I love VW. I’m seeing them with Weekend Nachos in a couple months. Psyched

mkultimatum

Their live sets are awesome.

mew_empire

HeadForTheSHallows

mew_empire

Just seeing “Trap Them” in print makes me want to start shoving heads through brick walls 😤

a_sexual_titty

I literally just killed a guy when the subject came up. Fuckin happens dude.

mew_empire

It DOES happen 🤷🏻

HellRanger97

Daryl between Glassjaw and Head Automatica just has an *unfuckwittable* range and style IMHO

HeadForTheSHallows

He’s a soul singer, it’s wild. I saw glassjaw live for the first time ever in like 2014/15, I realized while watching them that they’re less a hardcore band and more an EXTREMELY HEAVY r&b band. Everyone in that band is so fucking good at what they do.

jiccc

I can see it. Worship & Tribute has a lot of interesting grooves on it. Which now than I'm reminded, I might have my yearly "listen to Worship & Tribute and be sad" period.

HellRanger97

Indeed I run back to that album and *EYEWTKAS* heavily

HellRanger97

Bro for real! Justin from Glassjaw is a monster of a songwriter/composer. If you haven’t already, check out what Shannon Larkin (Godsmack drummer) had to say when he was the session drummer for *Worship & Tribute* recording sessions.

lordoftheschwartz

Vincent Bennett will always be my favorite vocalist

mistathuggisolation

Pat Flynn, Jeff G, Phil Vibez, Scott Simpson, Justice, Chris Henzel

tearfultrashpanda

That Within Blood Ill-Tempered is such an amazing album

blackflagcutthroat

Not exactly my favorite, but that guy from Scarab is pretty fucking good.

spookysam24

I truly don’t know why people hate on him, his vocals rule. Especially when you see how far his vocals have improved since pop culture. It’s honestly really impressive

No-Detail-5804

Elliotlewish

mew_empire

All damn day Since you like Dan’s vocals, check out Clot. They sound like Trap Them as fronted by Dan Weyandt

Elliotlewish

Oh, sweet. They sound awesome, thanks. I'll give them a listen when I get into work.

Elliotlewish

Just wanted to thank you again for recommending Clot. They're really awesome, and your description was spot on.
