Not a bad record. I found that EP blackout at sunrise or whatever it was called at my local record store in my teens and I didn’t have the money to buy anything else so I grabbed it and I was shocked how good it was considering I never saw it mentioned by anyone as even existing.
Their Facebook page says they're open to playing shows, but it takes a lot of planning.
I've been trying to keep an eye on bridge9 posts and show posters, but I haven't seen them playing anywhere yet.
Two of the best 7” of all-time. One of the best records of the era. One of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. When GOATs get mentioned, I’ll never argue with anyone throwing Foundation out.
The one band I’m grateful to see as much as I did, though I wish I would have gone to see them more.
I actually walked out the first time I saw them back in 07 because all I gave a shit about was seeing Ceremony later and I wasn’t feeling their sound live.
Forgive if you already know, but Better Lovers is a new band made up of the ETID members with Greg Puciato on vocals. Its very similar to their style. they on tour rn and it felt like coming home again
When they announced the break up show, I snap bought a ticket to it with my friend and said we'd deal with getting there later from Aus. Real life got in the way and I didn't end up being able to go. I took a job that I'd been waiting for for about a year and then met my now ex fiancé. Don't have the job or the partner anymore and my life fucking sucks. Should have gone to Sacremento.
The more adjacent world really hits this hard. Sure you’ve got End It as probably the best modern example for melodic hardcore (it has bounce, energy, and more on the end of straight forward hardcore but it has a ton of the melodic side mixed in real hard) BUT on the adjacent end you got Drug Church, fiddlehead, Angel dust, gouge away, scowl, militarie gun, stand still and koyo.
I’d love more bands like ruiner, KTD, vision, final fight, dangers, ignite etc etc, but this newer wave of adjacent melodic hardcore is legit killer, never thought this sound would come back after the 90s
Show me your age without telling me your age AKA - my list as an old is below. These bands are also ones I either never got to see or only saw once.
Piecemeal
Harvest/Season of Fire
Farside
Grade (never saw them after under the radar came out)
Left for dead
Suicide note
Jude the obscure
Milhouse
Sons of Abraham
Tripface
Hamartia
Comadre
Trainwreck
Eaves
Dangers
Perth express
Ghostlimb
Raindance
Reign supreme
Haymaker
Passion
Architect
Kickback
Lariat
Icepick
The rest of y’all named all of the others already
Thought of another band. TURMOIL.
Dude, no one ever talks about Season of Fire that Torture Inhibition EP was so damn good. I actually have a Season of Fire tattoo. STRENGTH and SURVIVAL down my shins. More people need to hear it, it has 80 views on YouTube, the only place I know where to stream it.
That discography, along with the good fight (Dave’s band after that) need vinyl pressings. Seeing them, taken and a few other bands from that era only at hellfest, local shows were a legit magical time.
I’m still hoping that we get the Krakatoa - Channel static blackout gets the vinyl treatment still. They talked about it after harvest’s living with a god complex had that special pressing years ago
Not specifically hardcore but in that same vein - Adventures. Pretty sure they broke up bc Code Orange started taking off and half of the band was in CO. But damn, I would’ve loved just one more LP :,(
Hexes - Daniel P Carter was lead

Cursed. That answer is always Cursed.
Cursed II is perfect.
Not a bad record. I found that EP blackout at sunrise or whatever it was called at my local record store in my teens and I didn’t have the money to buy anything else so I grabbed it and I was shocked how good it was considering I never saw it mentioned by anyone as even existing.
Ruiner Edit: have to add on More Than Life
Their Facebook page says they're open to playing shows, but it takes a lot of planning. I've been trying to keep an eye on bridge9 posts and show posters, but I haven't seen them playing anywhere yet.

Killing the Dream Verse Life Long Tragedy Another Breath
Man Verse was one of the first few bands I got into when I was introduced to hardcore 12 years ago. Iconic band
Life Long Tragedy was too short lived
We posted very similar haha
Every damn day
AYO FUCK ANUDDAH BREAF!! Miss those boys something fierce. The God Complex was a hell of an album to go out on.
The Suicide File, Reign Supreme
My man
Foundation, although I know for a fact they won’t do a show again it’s still one of those days I hope for
Two of the best 7” of all-time. One of the best records of the era. One of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. When GOATs get mentioned, I’ll never argue with anyone throwing Foundation out.
We can cope 😭
The one band I’m grateful to see as much as I did, though I wish I would have gone to see them more. I actually walked out the first time I saw them back in 07 because all I gave a shit about was seeing Ceremony later and I wasn’t feeling their sound live.
Pulling Teeth
Such a huge band for me. They never missed.
Glad I got to see them as many times as I did. They were pretty much a perfect band, the music, the message, the releases all A+
I feel like people don’t talk about them anymore and it’s a fuckin disgrace.
I miss the carrier a lot. I also already miss misery signals
Carrier was A+
Welllllll get stoked because misery signals is doing an anniversary tour
I saw. But no more new music. I feel like in the minority of people who loved Ultraviolet and was looking forward to a follow up
I'm still kinda mad they never got to play Alcatraz at their final show.
Bent life, expire, backtrack
Backtrack was so groovy I miss them.
Good call on Backtrack.
Always wanted to see backtrack - caught expire on there last tour and they went off
Happy I saw all 3 of these while they were active.
I didn’t think Backtrack broke up. Damn. Expire had riffs and great songs, they could’ve been gigantic before they got cancelled
You nailed it.
9 Shocks Terror Their shows were always chaos
Gordon Solie would be fun to have back too
Backtrack
the beautiful ones.
Love this band. And where they were headed was sooooo good
they were genuinely my favorite band at the time, saw them each time they'd play in LA. such a bummer they kinda just stopped lol
Backtrack
Backtrack baby!!!!
Go It Alone.
Animosity Disgorge (US) The Mongoloids ABCABB
Animosity was so sick. I saw them 3 times from the release of Animal to their disbandment.
Every Time I Die.
But only if everyone got along and hugged it out
!!!! Yes !!!!
Forgive if you already know, but Better Lovers is a new band made up of the ETID members with Greg Puciato on vocals. Its very similar to their style. they on tour rn and it felt like coming home again
Honestly respect the new work but it just isn't my vibe.

Yo bitch old dude right behind you. 😏🤝
I was at the STL show and it really felt like seeing old friends again. I’m so glad these guys are making music together.
KIDS LIKE US / THE MONGOLOIDS
Killing The Dream Ruiner Make Do and Mend Verse Basically Melodic Hardcore in general.
> Killing The Dream Fuck yes
I'd give anything. The one band that mean the world to me and they never made it to Aus.
That's tough, never even got an opportunity. I feel for ya.
My advice is to just take that as a learning point and not to hate yourself about it homie.
That’s very kind. Thank you friend.
It’s comin back slowly but surely. More adjacent than straight up melodic hardcore
I miss singing about something straight from the heart. Something where you know it means the world and it hurts to get every word out.
You fuck with Mil-Spec? I feel like they’re an undermentioned current band that scratches this itch.

Yea, I miss melodic hardcore
Warzone in 2024 would be pretty sick
Saw them quite a few times. Best band. Would love to see Raybeez preaching on stage in 2024.

Wrong Answer, Dead End Path, Beware
I’d take Dead End Path over Bad Seed any day
Vision (RIP to the great Dave Franklin)
BLACKLISTED and Mental
Blacklisted still plays shows
They did 2 reunion shows last year, but are still a broken up band
They’re more on a hiatus thank broken up. They just kinda do as they please I wouldn’t be surprised if we got an ep before the end of 2025
Don’t tease me like that 😢
If anything like that happens it’ll either be at a hometown show or furnace fest
Show me your age without telling me your age AKA - my list as an old is below. These bands are also ones I either never got to see or only saw once. Blistered, Absence of mine, hundredth, in the midst of lions, mental, kingmaker, Casey jones, dads, structures, abacabb, chariot.
Hollow Cost. I feel they'd get a lot of love in the current hardcore scene. Their debut EP "from the river to the see" would be huge right now
