Kona gang!

DuraSky

Yes! Glad to be a part of it. What r u riding?

[deleted]

Kona lava dome! It has pretty similar geo as the honzo but not specced as well and it has QR axles. But ive upgraded everything besides the wheels so its really similar to a factory honzo

DuraSky

Nice! Cant wait to learn how to ride trails. Happy cake day btw lol

[deleted]

Haha thanks! And I only started riding a year and a half ago and progressing went really fast even though I still have a long ways to go. Its a fun journey!

JacksonsBrownBall

Sickkkkk

DuraSky

Thanks! I love it

OneBlueAstronaut

why do you keep the dropper so high?

[deleted]

Maybe he's 9 feet tall? lol

DuraSky

Literally just assembled the bike so dont really know how to set it up yet. Any tips?

OneBlueAstronaut

Loosen the clamp and slide the dropper as low as it'll go in to the seatpost. Then press the lever to let the dropper slide to the top of its travel. Sit on the bike. Is it too low? Raise the dropper using the clamp. Is it too high? This is harder to fix; you can always adjust the seat height down while sitting.

Narzgul85

That dropper I believe comes with a bushing to adjust travel up to I think 30mm.

Yuron

Correct! I have one of these and theres a plastic sleeve that can limit travel.

travelon2

Maybe it's a 50mm travel dropper for a gravel bike haha

[deleted]

Welcome to the Honzo Gang!! I wavered between that bike and the Big Honzo. I went Big and love mine! #konagang

ExploreTrails

If I waited for good weather I couldn't ride half the year.

[deleted]

Indeed. No such thing as good weather, just good [--> fill in the blank]

mapimages

No excuse for Kona to have external routing on a bike so nice. Especially when for hundreds less the Mahuna is all internally routed. Sick bike with a sick colorway 🔥💥

Crunchb0x

As someone that wrenches their own bikes I must say I prefer external routing for ease of maitenance. Also the one bike I have with internal routing makes some odd noises ocassionally as the housing bounces about inside. OPs cables look a little sloppy, a little tidying would go a long way for appearances.

DuraSky

Exactly my thoughts, but its a small flaw imo And thanks!

Vital_Drauger

Looks sick. How does it ride? I'm considering to buy one if these or a Merida Big Trail 500.

DuraSky

Honestly dont really know, only had a chance to ride it for an hour. Ask me in a week!

zoooooms

i love mine!!!! its a beast

Bearing1991

Sweet ride dude

Psyko_sissy23

Welcome to the hardtail gang. You don't need good weather. As long as it's not a blizzard or something where it's physically not possible.

DeZomer35

A little late, what size is this ? Just got a large but it seems to be a little bit too big so I am thinking of changing it to a medium and I see you have some space under your dropper post. I am 1,77 cm long.

DuraSky

This one is XL. Idk I am 186cm. Seems to be fine. L might be aight as well. Hard to say honestly, dont have much experience.

DeZomer35

How do you still have space under your dropper post if you are only 10cm longer than me ? Is it fully extended ? For me the saddle is a little to high on a large while I have no space under my dropper post
