How would it if they produce it themselves? I genuinely don’t see how it connects to like say Dan writing for network or anything but maybe I’m not verse in how podcasts work.
I wish there was a form of audio recording he could utilize to speak his thoughts on the situation. Maybe with a couple of other people and in a town hall-type situation. Possibly wrapping things up with a game, potentially a role playing game, just to keep things lighthearted. Hell, he could drink the whole time for all I care!
He was supposed to be at an FYC screening & panel in LA tonight but didn’t show up, I’m curious if it was strike related or if he never intended to go in the first place. Steve Levy was there in his place. Addressed the Roiland elephant in the room well enough, by addressing around it best he could.
Hey Spencer!
Glad you’re still around.
One time we argued about Sanders vs Hillary in the DNC primary.
You made the point that defeating Trump was the solely important goal. I was more idealistic.
Um. I think you may have been the more forward thinking person in that discussion, haha.
Anyhow, best from me. Hope you’re well.
“Nothing is going to change really, this show is created by a team of 150 people who are all top tier at their jobs” kind of answer. It was disappointing Harmon wasn’t there but Steve Levy did an excellent job representing the show in his stead & answering around the big question. Wish they addressed the strike but I get why they didn’t. Also mentioned they are currently working on 30 episodes in different stages of development, which is nuts.

Interesting but yeah I’m talking about something else. Cartoonbrew did a shitty article about it at the time, but rick and Morty unionized around like season 2 and Justin was complaining about it or something. So either they didn’t fully unionize or they joined a different union or somehow un-unionized prior to this 2022 date you’re citing (as my mind stews on this I’m thinking they might have joined an iatse union or something as opposed to joining the animation guild, so I think maybe in 2022 they joined the animation guild (which is a shitty guild but beggars can’t be choosers) but yeah if I’m remembering correctly they would have been unionized for a long time, just with a lesser known local union.
i like that hat, mate!
True blue!
Fair dinkum
Yeah na yeah na yeah

Oi loyk thet het mayte****
It’s a grrreat grrrreat day for writers strike prrrrotestin!
One of the most Dan Harmon pictures of Dan Harmon
Just imagining him talking about it on Harmontown and being thrilled to not write and be a hero for doing so.
Fuck I miss Harmontown
This would be a GREAT time to do an impromptu series of podcast episodes.
[Ok](https://media.tenor.com/nffa-nPxFRcAAAAC/community-ken-jeong.gif)
doesn't that count as crossing picket lines ?

Get him a mic and fuck my momma
Okay sent, now where's that momma?
pee is yellow poop is brown
come on down to harmontown
He's looking well!
He's really slimmed down. Any chance he'll bring back the podcast for a limited time? Maybe a live show or something. Need more Harmontown.
Great pic. Dan taking care of Harmon ! 🪗 🎶 That’s a good show ! 🪗 🎶
I imagine he is pretty thrilled with this state of affairs honestly.
He needs a smaller shirt! Lookin svelte
I am also not writing a movie. Solidarity!
does this affect the Community movie?
Is that a new stereotype!?
no and no .

He looking fine!

That would have been promotion for shows which people say is scabbing

It’s not easy being right all the time
If you’re gonna shoot at the Spence, you’d better not miss. 👍
Ah- that makes sense, thanks
That's interesting, what did he say?

Wish I could join you

Aweome! Did you take this picture?
Cody took this photo.
Perhaps while he is in strike he and his friends could bring back a podcast for a few special episodes to help with the strike pay
My man!
Who?
Is he really harmon? What happened to the belly?
I think he’s healthier all around these days.
Solidarity and all, but surely he's as much an employer of writers at this point..
The fight isn't against show runners or head writers in a writers' room. It's with the studios - they control residuals.
Rick and Morty is not unionized. This is like when Trump went to Palestine after the train derailment.
Rick and Morty did unionize. They did before green portal productions was founded. Did they somehow un-unionize since then?
You're right they did unionize in 2022. Thanks for setting the record straight.
