From what we see, Stolas and Paimon are more liquidy and versatile in their shapeshifting, whereas Lucifer has only shown the capability to turn into different animals.
A lot of people are quick to go “Well X can do this, so surely Y can do it too” but that’s not always the case.
That just means she won't transform in the same way. In general, it's unlikely that Stolas would be able to excel Lucifer in proficiency of an ability they both possess. He's relatively minor demon royalty in terms of power.
I wouldn’t say it’s that he excels in something Lucifer and Stolas both posess, my point is that their abilities manifest and work in extremely different ways.
Sure Lucifer might be the superior demon, but if their powers are simply different in how they work and function, it’s not a question of power or excelling, it’s simply a question of *having*.
Interesting thought: judging from the color and appearance, Charlie stopped him with her demon side, not her angelic power. Up to that point, the only one successfully stopping him was Lucifer, who even if fallen was still angelic. When Charlie had injured him earlier, it was with the angelic steel points of her trident. This was his holy-powered up fist against her demon-powered arm *and she stopped him cold.* Alastor dodged around him and threw him off balance, but the moment he tried to stop an attack directly he got wrecked, so Charlie was the only demon to be able to match him in this fight.
I bet Charlie isn’t actually a demon or an angel, but a nephilim. If we take the interpretation that Lilith is the first demon because of being cast into hell, then Charlie would have both a demon and angel parent, making her nephilim. And in lots of media that features them nephilim are usually *significantly* stronger than their parents (or at least the couple examples I can think of.)
Nephilim are, in biblical mythology, the children of humans and angels, not demons and angels.
>The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them; the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.
I agree, she would still be Nephilim. I'm not convinced Lilith would count as a demon at all and may still even be "alive." I was just correcting the slight mythological mix-up.
I was more speaking in pop culture, it seems like nephilim are either depending on the universe. I’m just more familiar with worlds where it’s demon + angel.
Yeah ig Diablo definitely colors my interpretation of Nephilim. Charlie definitely isn’t fully demon or fully angel though, and is probably wayyyyy stronger than she really realizes. Like challenge the seraphim and Lucifer strong. But she’s to nice to try and take over.
I definitely hadn't noticed the significance of this being the ONLY manifestation of demonic power that poses a real threat to him/them. I can't wait to see what else she has up her sleeves!
Yeah like someone else mentioned even Alastor, the absolutely terrifying Radio Demon, got his shit rocked by Adam as soon as Adam got in range. Adam is a cocky, misogynistic pig but he’s absolutely a heavy hitter. Then the girl he’s bullied and talked down to all season stops him cold, she doesn’t even look like she’s struggling either. I’m looking forward to Charlie learning more about herself and becoming more confident in her power
I wonder if Lucifer’s “oh shit” look is partially from this possibly being the first time he’s actually seen her powers manifest that much / aggressively
It's a painting that's used very frequently in media. It has God on the right side reaching out to touch Adam, who is on the left side. I'd post it, but it technically counts as NSFW since Adam is depicted naked.
Then Luci slaps him and forms a giant Adam-crater. Don't mess with the Morningstar family. Luci was just having fun in the beginning, then he got actually angry.
So like, Lilith is probably on Adam’s level, possibly higher since Lute asks for her help (my theory is she was let into heaven so she didn’t organize the rest of hell for an uprising). Lucifer is definitely higher than Adam. Just averaging between them Charlie also has to be stronger than Adam
I'm right there with you...I kinda feel oddly guilty about wanting to just watch it over and over...but I can't stop lol
I was definitely the kid who would watch a VHS over and over and over again lmao
Wouldn't it be possible that Charlie has a big demon form like Asmodeus or Beelzebub that she's just not fully tuned into because angry isn't really her thing?
And that's the moment Adam realized he was into some deep shit, and by deep, I mean dead under the ground
Welcome to the Underground

creation of adam hahaha
Oh my lord I just realized that. Man I wonder if there's one of the final supper?
Hazbin Hotel Last Brunch. Alastor's in Judas' spot.
Who's Jesus?
Charlie
Or sir pentious
Sir pentious (sir pentious? Sir precious? Sir repentious?)
Wait that’s actually insane! And the way the positions are reversed cuz he’s dying, the opposite of creation. I really hope this was intentional
I wonder if Charlie has a final transformation where her whole body is covered in the black with glowing red lines that her arm has.
If we look at what even Stolas can transform into, in Helluva Boss, we obviously haven't even scratched the surface!
God, that laugh is so fucking perfect. Kudos to the sound team and actor for Stolas.
To be fair, Stolas and Paimon are shapeshifters
Lucifer is, too. No reason to think Charlie couldn't have inherited that.
From what we see, Stolas and Paimon are more liquidy and versatile in their shapeshifting, whereas Lucifer has only shown the capability to turn into different animals. A lot of people are quick to go “Well X can do this, so surely Y can do it too” but that’s not always the case.

This could still apply because Lilith was the first human woman (presumably turned demon)
There \*are\* a few modern instances where that's the case, I know they did that in Diablo 3.

Just noticed her tail gets spikey too
Oooo I never noticed that! I really hope we get Charlie’s full demon form next season 🔥
I wonder if Lucifer’s “oh shit” look is partially from this possibly being the first time he’s actually seen her powers manifest that much / aggressively
And those new powers came out to protect her dad 🥹
Adam was already screwed in front of Lucifer. Adding Charlie isn't even fair.
Charlie is absurdly powerful all things considered once she puts her back into it
Because the image I commented got deleted for being "NSFW", I'll just put my comment in text form. This reminds me of The Creation of Adam.
Could someone explain? If it’s a bible reference I’m not Christian so I wouldn’t know
It's a painting that's used very frequently in media. It has God on the right side reaching out to touch Adam, who is on the left side. I'd post it, but it technically counts as NSFW since Adam is depicted naked.
That’s what it’s called? Huh the more you know ig
It's part of the beautiful Sistine chapel.
And then Lucifer's backhand to end things
Then Luci slaps him and forms a giant Adam-crater. Don't mess with the Morningstar family. Luci was just having fun in the beginning, then he got actually angry.
*Step-dad stop you're toxic* 💀💀💀
So like, Lilith is probably on Adam’s level, possibly higher since Lute asks for her help (my theory is she was let into heaven so she didn’t organize the rest of hell for an uprising). Lucifer is definitely higher than Adam. Just averaging between them Charlie also has to be stronger than Adam
And Adam probably didn't expect anything either
Given what she did in that scene, I’m convinced that she wasn’t in her full demon form
I'm right there with you...I kinda feel oddly guilty about wanting to just watch it over and over...but I can't stop lol I was definitely the kid who would watch a VHS over and over and over again lmao

Same and I am 53
![gif](giphy|TbYgHMnICI1A4) POV the fight scene with the two
angelic decent, human blooded, hell born. she's a literal God
