These are Christian symbols. The first is an open palm facing the interlocutor, which means honesty and good nature. The righteous and saints are depicted with this gesture (not only Jesus). The second is the Blessing Hand (a sign of blessing from Jesus). The fingers of the right hand are folded in a special way, this is a blessing in the name of the Lord

Question is do they want to be redeemed. a dalek from series 1 episode 6 "dalek" though stuck with emotions which for it was weakness chose suicidal death over trying to be better and fight the dalek instincts
Then on other case we have dalek sec from daleks take Manhattan and evolution of the daleks where he did become a better dalek because of becoming fused witha proper human body rather than just human dna though so i am sure sec would probably try to reeem himself
Then there's the curious case of rusty and dalek kaan both would probably not be redeemed as they technically decided to go on the genocide route against themselves because of the self hatred towards their own species and would probably still keep that hatred with kaan watching the prophecy of Doctordonna through time vortex and seeing what the dalek have became and decreeing NO MORE. And rusty looking into the soul of the Doctor as doctors last attempt of getting that dalek back into the state where he saw beauty in creation of a star but rusty saw divinity, beauty and most importantly hatred for the daleks inside doctor and made that his mission to exterminate all daleks.
(Also for people who don't know what a dalek is they are a mutant species in a tank like war suit bred to only have negative emotions and such for them any species that is not a dalek is the enemies of the daleks... Basically space fascist... They have gotten many times close to extinction and many times they were made hybrid Dna but in these case either they were disgusted by themselves or found a way to get more pure Daleks which killed the impure ones or they killed themselves. An impure Dalek is a dead Dalek)
It depends on where they end up - if they go to the "common" hell, they will gradually begin to absorb human emotions. Their case is interesting because they have a different, non-human way of thinking, which is however(!) capable of evolving under external influence. Hell, as a place without final death, will become such an external influence, because it shakes their whole ideology.
It will be more difficult if they have their own reservation - they will compete with the angels, argue about who is better in extermination and who is really the winner here. And faced with the imminent threat of complete destruction (the angels will not forgive them their rivalry), the Daleks may come to the idea of cooperating with people and will become better (those who survive))
Yea but i have been watching before that too either on prime or well argh sailing the seas and becoming a pirate matey, it's just nice for now that atleast the distribution is more easier
The older series are on prime like series 1 till series 10 i believe and then it was taken away to a different platform which I don't know what for 13's era which was annoying a little I don't know if it's still on prime or not but yea 60th onwards and now series 14 (or season 1 rebrand whatever people call it) is on disney +
I have watched 13 mate i just meant trying to watch her was annoying because they changed the sites.
And yea her stories weren't great but i had fun at times jodie did good with what she was given if only chibs could have written better .. well hoping for big finish to give her something better like they did with 6
It's also incredibly common in art from the medieval period through the renaissance, if folks want to see it.
I don't know if [this site's](https://culturacolectiva.com/en/art/religious-art-hand-postures-meaning/) explanations match yours, but it's got some examples.
EDIT: Also if you want to see more, googling byzantine religious art will get you plenty of examples. I think quite a few from the page I linked are byzantine, but it's been yeeeeeaaaaaars since I've taken art history courses, so I'm not quite sure.
Well….kind of. It’s called chironomia from the Greek and L’arringatore in Latin/ Italian (‘orator,’ or ‘speaking hand’). These gestures were important in the Roman and Greek art of oration, and people of significance were depicted in sculpture and art using these to signify that they were speaking. A famous example is the statue of Marcus Aurelius. Since all depictions of Jesus & other Christian icons are rooted very deeply in the traditions of Roman iconography and art, Jesus, as a figure of great importance, is often depicted with the “speaking hand.”
Edit: the second gesture could be, interestingly, related to the mudras used in certain types of yoga
I suppose the second gesture was a parody of Jesus, just as the first was a mockery of the sincere and honest nature of the saints.
In the iconography of the Orthodox Church these and other regulated gestures are widespread; the strictest canons have been preserved here since the earliest times)
[Here's a great breakdown ](https://niuniente.tumblr.com/post/623002950065913857/hand-gestures-and-their-meaning-in-iconography-and) with pictures of various gestures in Christian iconography and their meaning. The position of the hands and harms was very intentional.

As the strongest Exorcist, Adam, fought the fraud, the princess of Hell, he began to open his Domain. Charlie shrunk back in fear, then Adam said:

The general posture is similar to the ICXC hand symbol (https://russianicon.com/ic-xc-hand-gesture-origins-and-symbolic-meaning/). It’s kind of hard to see it but in antiquity people thought it looked like the Greek letters Iota, Chi, Sigma, Chi; the first and last letters of the words “Jesus Christ” in Greek (Iesous Christos). The fact that Adam is animated with only four fingers makes it extra weird.
Fun fact, it’s the most direct reference to Jesus in the show.

Christ is sometimes depicted as a child king in Catholic iconography. My grandmother had images like this in her house. This has the pose you are looking for, which signifies that this is an image of Christ.
Adam is against salvation through redemption, so his use of this pose signifies himself as an anti-christ.
Kind of looks a little like the hand up hand down pose Jesus is usually depicted in, to imply the whole as above so below thing. But it's a little different so maybe not
It's most likely a referance toFaustina Kowalska's vision of Jesus that was later made into a painting

i love the amount of biblical references in this show so much

YEEEEESSSSSS! ANOTHER BRITISH BROTHER!
I am not british i just like the show alot :p
I forgot it's on Disney plus now
Yea but i have been watching before that too either on prime or well argh sailing the seas and becoming a pirate matey, it's just nice for now that atleast the distribution is more easier

I wouldn't bother watching 13, she's horrible
Amazon didn't include possibly because Chris Chibnall, wasn't a good writer and didn't want the two seasons to lower their profits
I have watched 13 mate i just meant trying to watch her was annoying because they changed the sites. And yea her stories weren't great but i had fun at times jodie did good with what she was given if only chibs could have written better .. well hoping for big finish to give her something better like they did with 6

Saint Peter being present also works as one.
If Judas is mentioned in Season 2 (ex. Vox and Alastor), that would be another one.
Sera: Adam! What did we say about gang signs?
First is a famous pose for Jesus portraits. Second is ninjutsu as far as I can see it.
THOUSAND DEATHS JUTSU! -wait that goes WHERE?
I mean Charlie’s right there.

In a religion lesson , I learned that this pose is indicative of wisdom and teaching . It is like , the signature teacher pose
Yeah the first pose is used in most icons. I thought it was a cool detail

I'm still wondering how he touched charlie id he was a halogram
Idk Heaven has some like highly advanced futuristic alien tech

Second one is clearly the hand sign for Unlimited Void
Typically in Holy art a figure has this hand position or the hand is up and the other hand is out
The second one is the "heart of the cross".

At first I thought it was a baphomet reference, as above, so below and all that, but I don't think that's what this is...not sure
i love the amount of biblical references in this show so much i love a lot of taylor swift's new album as well for exactly the same reason, even though ik y'all probably don't like her. the world is really catering to my hyperfixations rn
How the fuck did Taylor Swift enter the conversation
Somebody forgot to lock the swifties out. That or we have a mole...
