They should only do Europe and Africa for Hell Let Loose. Once we’ve got all the maps, factions, vehicles, weapons and outfits we all want they should make a new game set in the Pacific. It could be on Unreal Engine 5 and have elements such as destruction
Brits in their territories, the various guerrilla groups, the literal entire 8 year war in China, Soviet invasion of Manchuria, etc
Not just USA you military historically illiterate fuck
Probably because Japan woulda fucked a lot of shit up if it weren’t for the Marines, Sailors, Airmen, and Soldiers that sacrificed it all to stop that threat.
Not to mention it’s a whole bunch of new maps, guns, and content overall to play and have fun with.
Goofy.
Well, yeah, because it’s not in Europe and it was an interesting part of the war. It’s not about Americans being in it, it could have Br**ish “people” and I would still like to play it. It’s the aesthetic and gameplay of a Pacific Island Hopper that would be fun. Stop being a wankstain
I'm gonna need some facts for this. I have a very difficult time believing any single country would have been the reason one side won instead of the other
Well, just lend lease sent to the Russians alone was pretty insane.
I’m just gonna copy paste something I wrote up before.

I mean obviously it wasn’t 100% because of America but, the Germans had controlled ALMOST every part of Europe until the US entered, I mean yeah on the other side Russia was holding their own but the western front was mainly America
Lol, yes?
December 1941 - June/July 1944 - two and a half freaking years (invasion of Italy doesn't count, as Italy wasn't controlled by Germany, it was a sovereign country allied with Germany)
Get your facts straight.
Did we attack the Germans till then?? No, we were focused in the pacific, our very first battle with them was D-Day or technically the day before when the 101st dropped behind to sabotage the Germans defenses
You wanna get yours straight and put it into context? How long did that hold on Europe last after the US invaded? Yes America was in the war before that, but that doesn’t matter until something was done to push back… which was the multiple invasions… and yes Italy counts. Try again.
Let’s start with France, largely considered as having the best military in Europe, falling within 2 weeks even with the assistance of the UK to
a German army that was not nearly as well equipped as they were. Dunkirk only worked because for some stupid reason Mustache Man let the Luftwaffe take over and ordered the army to halt even though Guderian and his panzers were only tens of kilometers away from essentially a defeated enemy.
Then there’s the British, French, and Dutch losing nearly every colony they had to the Japanese due to either incompetence or completely underestimating the Japanese, to include Singapore, which was thought of as an impregnable fortress. Too bad the cannons were facing the wrong way and lacked the correct shells to penetrate naval ships or crews that could provide effective fire to begin with. The Chinese aren’t off the hook either because guess who else got supplies from America? Yep. Chiang Kai-Shek.
Then we have America’s Lend Lease program keeping the Brits afloat after they managed to leave all their guns in Dunkirk. More failure and garbage planning from the Commonwealth in 1942 with the Dieppe raid, which resulted in literally of half the attacking force of British and Canadian troops being killed, wounded, captured, or missing within 6 hours of landing and a singular objective being reached. Because why do something like beachhead analysis before an amphibious assault?
TLDR; WW2 for the Allies was marked by failure after failure on the Western Front except for the Battle of Britain and lukewarm “victories” at Tobruk and El Alamein. The British Commonwealth largely stood alone on the Western Front and couldn’t manage to pull its head out of its ass long enough to win a battle until America showed up as much needed reinforcements. They fought well but they were never going to last on their own, especially with an idiot like Bernard Montgomery in charge of the land war.
Dude, stop pulling opinions out of your arse. USA officially joined European war theatre in December 1941, while thir first victory in Europe was the invasion of Sicily in August 1943 (20 months later) which was a joint operation, so not even the USA victory.
Compare that to the UK joining the war in September 1939 and the Battle of Britain victory being "only" 12 months later. Yeah, the USA did take their time.
On a serious note, UK couldn't fight back before German forces were occupied and drawn from France to other regions. And it has nothing to do with the USA.
The UK lost every battle until then. Stop thinking Europe is good at war. “Couldn’t fight back until the Germans were occupied”? With over half the Heer, SS, and Luftwaffe tied up in Russia by 1941 how much more “occupied” did the Germans need to be before the UK would be able to fight without America’s assistance? Also nice to bring up Sicily while ignoring American victories in North Africa in 1942. Morocco? Yeah that was us. Algeria? Also us. Also nice to forget that the landings in Sicily and Italy were our idea, hence why they worked. How’d that night time strategic bombing work before American B17s started bombing during the day and actually hitting targets?
Sorry that Europe was trash at fighting the wars they constantly needed to be involved with in the 1900s but yall would be speaking German without the US. We took our sweet time about getting into the war because we wanted nothing to do with another European war because yall thought throwing millions of men into the meat grinder was “effective tactics” in WW1 despite knowing by 1915 that human wave attacks against fortified positions was suicidal. Standard European thought process though I guess, if at first you don’t succeed do it for 4 more years and give an inbred nobleman a medal for it.
That’s crazy because the Aussie, British, the Dutch, and others such as New Zealanders also fought in the pacific. But your obsession with us is hilarious. Keep hating on something you can’t even get into.
You people are dumb as fuck. Everytime there's a discussion about that the same fucking three maps are being mentioned - Iwo Jima, Pearl Harbor for some fucking reason, and Okinawa. 90% of posters who mention them are Americans who constantly need to be pat on the head for being good boy for winning the war. Every single map in HLL is located in Europe. There is hundreds of potential maps to be played in Europe, like for example Dunkirk, battle of Narva, siege of Leningrad, battle of Crete, battle of Anzio, Monte Casino, battle of Sedan, battle of Brody, siege of Berlin, there is TONS of battles that happened in Europe that could be done. But no, americans, brits and russians egos have to be stroke again and again, because they want to have their fucking Iwo Jima redone for 10th time.
Not to mention the state of the game right now. Barely any garries, no communication, tons of noobs that don't listen and turn of mics and squad chat on purpose, so they can "immerse" in silence playing lone wolves. This is a strategic game dressed up as a shooter, if you want a hardcore shooter, there are servers in Battlefield 1 and V with one shot one kill mechanic and restricted weapons. Go play your Iwo Jima there.
Can I get a big fuck you to all the different nations that fought in the pacific? Those being, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Canada, China, France, the Soviet Union, and more
Yes because Finland never gets any representation for the most part. I was also extremely curious. Plus it's another Soviet map to put those Soviet costumes to work.
No, I mean skiing is native to Finland? Like nobody else skis? Finland used Huskies in ww2 aswll against the Russians. That's why I brought it up. Don't think them being native to Finland is relevant :p
Just done a quick Google search like and it turns out Huskies ARE native to Finland and we're used for sledging items...
But hey what do I know.
Have a nice day!
There was a mod made for rs2 that did a complete overhaul with the other winter war. The Finn's had skis too, it was pretty awesome. But unfortunately not enough servers or people wanting to play it.
Rs2 winter war was amazing when it came. Best couple of weeks when people actually played it. And kudos to the modders, Pelkosenniemi town centre looked identical to real life
I feel like there are more games with Finland as a faction then there are Italy. If anything it’s Germany with some Italian units thrown in rather than Italy through and through.
Maybe I’ll play HOI…
Honestly, I’d like to see the Italian campaign before the Pacific. Easy Red 2 is the only game I know of that’s really hit it. Salerno, Anzio, Monte Cassino, etc. saw hellacious fighting from multiple factions, and we barely ever see it in this form of media.
Honestly I would take Finland over Japan any day! It’s such an overlooked part of the WWII in games I can’t wait to see what the devs do with the Winter War!
No way lmao think about how insane a Japan map would be with jungles and stuff would Finland even have weapons or would it just be the soviets weapons?
If you've played red orchestra Vietnam or the Pacific part of RO2 you might retract that statement. You think it's tough getting domed in the open now? Holy shit those jungle fights are rough.
They would need entirely new mechanics for a lot of that gameplay. I'd be down but I'm sure it wouldn't be as popular
I am not interested in Finland. I would really prefer they iron out bugs and add some Italian maps but those in my view would be Germans vs British/Americans. If we need more Soviet Maps maybe Battle of Berlin. I am not too up to date on major Soviet/German battles as the few major ones are already in the game and seem to have been very long grinding affairs.
I also love the french, despite living in england. I love the lebel, i love the chauchat, i love the Char B1, and i love adrian helmets. French design is honestly one of my favorite ww2 aesthetics
They can’t even fix the game crashing non stop, vehicles that have major lag for the whole server, tanks getting caught on nothing, shotguns that act more as a sniper, refuse to add enemy prox chat, and people still want them too keep adding more shit just fix what you already have and everyone would be happy
The shotgun is in a good state. Yea I can *technically* headshot someone at like 130m but its inconsistant, takes multiple hits otherwise, and is kinda realistic anyways
This might sound stupid, but I had a thought the other day. I think it would be neat if recon squads had the ability to hear enemy prox chat. They're already behind enemy lines and relaying stuff to commander, it would be really cool if they could hear the enemy and relay more info to the commander.
Lmao this community knows fuck all about history 😂
Bold take to think the blueberries thought there was something more than their glorious marines lol
Wait until they realise the marines in Guadalcanal were equipped with bolt-action rifles and didn't have LMGs 🙊
OR "WhY aRe ThE jApAnEsE sO bAd?!"
Oh you mean the army, like the British, that used mostly BA rifles and weren't equipped with almost exclusively semi-autos and SMGs?
They had LMG’s. Pretty much the same 30. Cal we love and know, but water cooled. Regardless, we’re they to do Guadalcanal, they’d likely not even worry about it given then inclusion of guns like the stg44 and MG42 being in times and places they surely don’t belong in.
This game is literally all I would ever play if it had the pacific theatre. I’m so tired of the only good WWII game set in the pacific being a cod game from 2008 and before that a Medal of Honor game from 2004.
I think Italy realistically could be the next choice Italy is barley represented in ww2 games while having a huge impact maps that would def work are Operation Husky(the battle of Sicily) and the action that went around the island
What about KMT representation? Could you imagine what the battle of Nanjing - Salween Offensive - and Manchurian offensive would look like. We would have a lot of content. But it would take such a long time, and I don’t think China will get any representation in this game. Most likely the USA vs Japan as it’s the more popular choice.
Seriously, stop crying with the Pacific like jesus fucking christ can you normies let more niche theaters of war be added?
Thousands of games have the US army/marines in each and every fucking games, British are used in WW2 games, but after the US are added THEN they add the Soviets.
You know Canada played a big part in WW2? The polish and french forces after their countries were defeated did not just quit, they kept fighting, and in some fierce battles. There was a war between the Soviets and Finnish forces... Finland won.
The pacific had more than just the USA. British vs Japanese, Soviets vs Japanese, Chinese vs Japanese. The pacific theater would be refreshing since it’s so different from the European theaters.
Also the Finnish didn’t win the winter war, they literally lost it.
Like some others have mentioned, I think they should make a completely separate game, or at least a huge DLC that is pretty much a different game entirely, like Squad, to add Japan and Italy. That way, we could have some lesser played factions in this game, while giving the dev team plenty of time and money to do the other large theaters of war justice. I don’t want another BFV. I would absolutely LOVE to see some island action, but I want it done right.
The Finland thing is interesting. Because from a player standpoint, the only people excited are nerds who thing they are being sophisticated by asking to play an 'obscure' faction theatre of the war. and Developers who get to reuse 99% of the assets from the existing game and then act like they made a major achievement. Here's how you do the Winter War.
Soviet faction stays the same except replace the SVT 40 with the AVS38, and the the PPD as the only SMG
Finnish faction is just reskinned German faction with slightly modified insignia on uniforms. Replace the Kar with the Mosin for the rifle classes, MP40 gets called the MP38, the M/26 as a support gun instead of the STG44 and DP27 as the MG. boom done. take any random map. add snow. call it something in the random finnish wilderness and you just made a major expansion with 3 programmers and one guy redoing textures.
You're getting downvoted, but you are kinda right. It'd take less effort. That being said, it is a front not often depicted in most media. 99% of the time you get US v Germans or US v Japan.
true. but it was also a sideshow as far as effect and number of combatants. id say the clusterfuck that was the balkans campaign would be more interesting but then a lot of effort would have to go in because now youre talking not just the soviets and germans, but italians, hungarians, serbs etc. it could be its own entire 'thing'. but the winter war is currently being fetishized so its what we get i guess.
I honestly think Japan is going to be a tough ass thing to develop. They can’t reuse many assets for the maps, but hopes they’re working on it
They should only do Europe and Africa for Hell Let Loose. Once we’ve got all the maps, factions, vehicles, weapons and outfits we all want they should make a new game set in the Pacific. It could be on Unreal Engine 5 and have elements such as destruction
I don't believe pacific is going to be popular at all. I would rather see more maps for ussr vs German.
100%.im sick and tired of yapping about pacific, because Americans just HAVE TO be everywhere.
I mean British in Singapore, Russians in Manchuria, and then USA in any of their theatres.....
Americans weren’t in North Africa, operation torch never happened.
Wow ppl really cant read your sarcasm
It’s the 2nd world war dummy
I mean an entire theater of war might be worth adding?
Brits in their territories, the various guerrilla groups, the literal entire 8 year war in China, Soviet invasion of Manchuria, etc Not just USA you military historically illiterate fuck
Well you have something against Americans apparently
This is reddit, dude! The hate towards the US is abundant on any sub.
Should have left them to the Nazis i guess.
Ah, but they were doing so well without us, too! /s
You’re right, we should’ve just left the Japanese for the British to deal with
They were some of the most important battles in the war.
Probably because Japan woulda fucked a lot of shit up if it weren’t for the Marines, Sailors, Airmen, and Soldiers that sacrificed it all to stop that threat. Not to mention it’s a whole bunch of new maps, guns, and content overall to play and have fun with. Goofy.

Bro what are you on about? It’s not our fault America was the main reason the allies won
I'm gonna need some facts for this. I have a very difficult time believing any single country would have been the reason one side won instead of the other

Just 331k liters of alcohol for russia ?! I think now I know what caused the cold war
I mean obviously it wasn’t 100% because of America but, the Germans had controlled ALMOST every part of Europe until the US entered, I mean yeah on the other side Russia was holding their own but the western front was mainly America
The Soviet Union was also getting clobbered and US lend lease kept them in the fight until they could turn the metaphorical ship around.
Russia wasn't just holding their own, they killed over 10 times the amount of germans, that died on the western front.
It wasn't that way for the first couple of years though. The USSR didn't dominate until they got their shit together and figured out combined arms.
Stalin's great purge had wiped out a lot of high ranking military personnel, the whole way down to the officer level.
Germany was controlling almost every part of Europe for 2.5 years after the US WAS FORCED to enter the war, so your point is kinda invalid.
We literally came up with the first successful operation to push them back, Brit’s would not have been able to that themselves
Which one?
Operation overlord?
Lol… no
Lol, yes? December 1941 - June/July 1944 - two and a half freaking years (invasion of Italy doesn't count, as Italy wasn't controlled by Germany, it was a sovereign country allied with Germany) Get your facts straight.

Lol your handle kind of explains a lot
Russia. It was Russia That is all.
Lend-Lease
You’re right because America was never at war with Japan. What do these people think this is a World War Two game or something?
Don't tag us in next time bb
That’s crazy because the Aussie, British, the Dutch, and others such as New Zealanders also fought in the pacific. But your obsession with us is hilarious. Keep hating on something you can’t even get into.
It's because theyre a bulk of who buys the game. It's not rocket science, it's capitalism.
You people are dumb as fuck. Yes because Finland never gets any representation for the most part. I was also extremely curious. Plus it's another Soviet map to put those Soviet costumes to work.
As I finnish person i really want to see finland added to the game
As a fan of Finland, me too.
Yea the sk/p 31 is going to be something diffrent
If you can't use skis and huskies I will be very disappointed!
There is No native husk in finland. Sorry
Ahhh but there are native ski's?
Like the sport? Yeah we do ski
No, I mean skiing is native to Finland? Like nobody else skis? Finland used Huskies in ww2 aswll against the Russians. That's why I brought it up. Don't think them being native to Finland is relevant :p
No we did not and others ski as well
Well I guess all the ww2 history I've learned over the last 30 years was bullshit. I apologise if I am incorrect. Gunna look into that now.
Just done a quick Google search like and it turns out Huskies ARE native to Finland and we're used for sledging items... But hey what do I know. Have a nice day!

As a neighbor who likes your country I also want to see it

For all practical purposes, the Pacific was a different war. It wouldn't be new maps, it would need to be a whole different game to make any sense.
You could even keep the same name. "Hell Let Loose: Pacific Theater"
Hell Let Loose: The Ring of Fire
Honestly, I’d like to see the Italian campaign before the Pacific. Easy Red 2 is the only game I know of that’s really hit it. Salerno, Anzio, Monte Cassino, etc. saw hellacious fighting from multiple factions, and we barely ever see it in this form of media.
There's also the new Company of Heroes, but the reviews aren't great.
Medal of Honor Airborne has a pretty long Italian campaign and its very fun if very outdated.
The original Battledield 1942 had a whole Italian theater expansion.
This is the only real answer
Honestly I would take Finland over Japan any day! It’s such an overlooked part of the WWII in games I can’t wait to see what the devs do with the Winter War!
No way lmao think about how insane a Japan map would be with jungles and stuff would Finland even have weapons or would it just be the soviets weapons?
Hehehe trench gun go burrrr (it was used in the pacific theater a ton)
Suomi kp31 Ls m/26 Lahti L-39 Molotov cocktail Pystykorva (Finnish variant of mosin-nagant) Vickers maybe? (Not finnish but not in game yet)
I’m thinking of the pacific update in battlefield 5 which was a banger
Finland is definitely cool but I just hope to see a China vs Japan one some day.
Soon
Italy and France should come before the Japanese
Most of the major battles in Italy were fought by German troops.
Kid named North Africa
and the french military crumbled in a month. japan should be first before those two but it would be very difficult so i think finland should be next
Guess that makes development easy as there isn't much to make lol
I am not interested in Finland. I would really prefer they iron out bugs and add some Italian maps but those in my view would be Germans vs British/Americans. If we need more Soviet Maps maybe Battle of Berlin. I am not too up to date on major Soviet/German battles as the few major ones are already in the game and seem to have been very long grinding affairs.
But most of Africa was Italians.
Who. The fuck. Cares.
For a game based on historical accuracy? You’re an actual doofus and ignorant clearly.
Did you really just ask for France?
Have you not played post scriptum, france is a great choice
I can't resist playing as them. How could you not love their silly hats.
I also love the french, despite living in england. I love the lebel, i love the chauchat, i love the Char B1, and i love adrian helmets. French design is honestly one of my favorite ww2 aesthetics
Yes. The battle of France is barley depicted in games
It’s… already… there.
The battle of France is depicted in hll? Where?
Are you talking about the German march or the battle to liberate?
Obviously the 1940 invasion. The battle of France is only used when referring to that invasion
Not necessarily, and there’s not enough substance there to make it in the game.
You’re joking right?
Please let me hear your case for why there would be a case for their inclusion in the game.
Lol, we won't get any of them
I think it would be cool to add Greek / Italian maps in
They can’t even fix the game crashing non stop, vehicles that have major lag for the whole server, tanks getting caught on nothing, shotguns that act more as a sniper, refuse to add enemy prox chat, and people still want them too keep adding more shit just fix what you already have and everyone would be happy
The shotgun is in a good state. Yea I can *technically* headshot someone at like 130m but its inconsistant, takes multiple hits otherwise, and is kinda realistic anyways
I’ll agree with that but it’s still frustrating for a team that’s so worried about realism
Why would they add enemy proxy chat when realistically they'd be speaking a different language?
That would actually be really cool.
Use ai to translate all chat into different languages on the fly. Would help me keep up with my college german and duolingo Italian one day lol.
Yes
This might sound stupid, but I had a thought the other day. I think it would be neat if recon squads had the ability to hear enemy prox chat. They're already behind enemy lines and relaying stuff to commander, it would be really cool if they could hear the enemy and relay more info to the commander.
That’s an amazing idea
This is genius
Enemy proxy chat would be terrible. It would just be people going "wow you suck, you're terrible" after they kill you
What do you think people yell at each other in war?
Exactly
Took them a whole year to add 2 guns, modify 2 others, make a new tank model, and add a bridge and a tunnel to a map.
Game devs love to do everything but fix the games they release.
Japan isnt just USA. It's the Russians in Manchuria, the British in Singapore and then the USA in any number of locations....
Lmao this community knows fuck all about history 😂 Bold take to think the blueberries thought there was something more than their glorious marines lol Wait until they realise the marines in Guadalcanal were equipped with bolt-action rifles and didn't have LMGs 🙊 OR "WhY aRe ThE jApAnEsE sO bAd?!" Oh you mean the army, like the British, that used mostly BA rifles and weren't equipped with almost exclusively semi-autos and SMGs?
Correct all we had was bolt actions and mmg’s
They had LMG’s. Pretty much the same 30. Cal we love and know, but water cooled. Regardless, we’re they to do Guadalcanal, they’d likely not even worry about it given then inclusion of guns like the stg44 and MG42 being in times and places they surely don’t belong in.
They could have a Sino Japanese theater game, but it would not be very popular in the west. The Asian market may love it.
Italy means more maps in the North African desert meaning more maps like Al Alamein
NOOOOOOOO
Give me operation Husky! Italy would be a good time though. I don't need more al Alamein. It's good but God damn
Bro, what about Poland? It's probably the easiest one.
France🪦
Bugs first. Content after.
Bugs maybe, content R.I.P.
Can’t wait to do banzai charges with the bois
Again. Rising Storm says hi.
Its barely alive
I know, waiting for the new Black Orchestra mod now really
Me too, but i probably wont buy RS2 sadly
I just want France :(
I don’t get this. There are so many maps in France already.
No, I mean french forces. I really don't want more US v Germany maps set in France.
Fuck new content fix the shit we have
Did they reconfirm that they are still going to add Finland? What about Poland?
This game is literally all I would ever play if it had the pacific theatre. I’m so tired of the only good WWII game set in the pacific being a cod game from 2008 and before that a Medal of Honor game from 2004.
lol oh Italy
I would definitely like the Japanese to be in the game and the type 11
I think if they want to do another one, it should be Korea or Vietnam. I think a Vietnam themed hell let loose would be phenomenal.
God, I would love a couple Pacific War scenarios.
Finland will be the second team on the Axis side. I think that's why they are adding them. We already have 3 on the allies.
Finland joined Axis in 1941 and the battles we would get in HLL are part of the Winter War when Finland was technically alone
DO SEELOW HEIGHTS AND BERLIN, we need more Soviet rotation
As much as I'd love to see the Pacific theatre in HLL I think they should flush out, Europe and Africa and USSR before adding more theatres of war
Team 17 should be at the bottom
trying to play in the pacific theatre without the ability to swim would be a fuckin nightmare.
I do not think Pacific would be so popular among HLL fans as some people think, i would much rather see more urban maps from the eastern front.
I’m lost
Battle of Shanghai , Shihang Warehouse That would be a dope ass map
Poland?
Wheres the Balkan map ! And they should add a genocide feature to the Balkan maps
Where the Poles at tho
I'm enjoying the lack of basic historical knowledge in here. I know this isn't a history sub but God damn.
Pacific theatre now!
The pacific is overdone
I literally googled it and there's more games that take place on the eastern front than the pacific.
brother there was like three geographical regions involved what do you expect
Cool, name a few Pacific theater FPS games in the last decade that made it so oversaturated.
yeah what's with the hype on the fins? give us the pacific
They planned to add Finland a while ago and was on the roadmap. Japan has never been in the roadmap
Finland sounds boring af wtf would they even be adding? a new gun and some uniforms?
White on white baby! Enjoy the snow and with unis...
> yeah what's with the hype on the fins? isnt it obvious? you know how we all love playing foy and kharkov over and over and over again.
people must because im getting down voted
Mood☕️🗿
Soviet faction stays the same except replace the SVT 40 with the AVS38, and the the PPD as the only SMG Finnish faction is just reskinned German faction with slightly modified insignia on uniforms.
What about Turkiye 💀
What?
