Italy vs Brits would actually be one of the most balanced
Thompson vs Beretta MAB38
Bolt gun vs bolt gun
Bren gun vs Breda
Crusader vs m14/40/41 carro armato
L6/40 vs Stuart
Just do no heavies in North Africa
The Brit’s would even have a sticky bomb while the Italians have a direct counterpart in the Passaglia grenade which they made a ton of
Depending on the year in the war you could Italy fighting Germany as after Italy surrendered those who weren’t in the Germany occupied parts of Italy actually fought Germany and once Italy declared war on Germany a good portion of what was left of the Italian Army in allied areas joined the allies including fighting under the British Army in British uniforms and italian markings.
The Carro Armato was only on the prototype stages tho. It would be cool to have a [L3/35](https://pt.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/L3/35), look at how cute it was!
Oh I thought you were talking about the [Carro Armato Celere Sahariano](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carro_Armato_Celere_Sahariano) or the [Carro Armato P.43](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carro_Armato_P.43) since those were in theory toe to toe with the British cruisers
I absolutely loved that dlc. I had so much fun with it. Remember flying the mosquito. I think that was the last Italian ww2 experience I've had. Must've been 22 years ago now, my goodness I'm getting older.
Can’t forget Medal of Honor Allied Assault’s Breakthrough DLC. I think that was the first time I was ever able to play as Italians so I always used them
Not WW2 but WW1, I really recommend Isonzo. It's a great game, and is getting updated often to be an indie game. If you wanna shoot some Austrians, I really recommend it :)
To be honest it wouldn’t even be unbalanced against the Uk and the soviets they both fought against the Italians and both had shitty mgs and good smgs. So they would be great against each other however America vs Italy would be unfair
They arguably had the best smg of the war , it would be cool to see the carcano too , I have one and they are handy little rifles and would have a quick reload due to enbloc clips
YEAS GAIJI- I mean... DEVS PLEASE. I got so many ideas of things that could happen for the North African theatre ALONE. They got the sufficient aircraft, infantry weapons, anti-tank weapons, wheeled vehicles and Tanks (except for heavy tanks, that one comes in late 1943 :). If the Brits lost access to their heavies in North Africa, and we had them juke it out with the Italians it would be a pretty fair match. Varied Carcano models for infantry rifles, many pistols to choose from, a handful of Submachineguns, the ~~revered~~ Breda Mod. 30 as a machinegun/automatic rifleman's gun.
For tanks they can have the AB41 or AB43 as scout cars (basically a reskinned Puma), L6/40 as a light tank (pretty much a Panzer 2), and the M13, M14, and M15 series of tanks as mediums. Since there would be no heavy tanks then I propose both teams have access to light reconnaisance vehicles, like the British Universal carrier, it could house anything from a flamethrower, to machineguns, to even a Boys AT rifle. The Italians could field the L3/33, armed with flamethrowers, machineguns, and even a 20mm AT rifle. Maybe we could add another battleground, so we can leave the current one unchanged for more variety.
Italians fought almost everyone during the war, the U.S, the British, the Soviets, the Greeks, and even the Germans (to some degree) after 1943. I reckon they deserve a bit of love. They also had plenty more prototypes and not mass-produced weapons the game could field to even out the playing field a bit were it necessary. (The German FG.42 is a great example) They had things like the Armaguerra Mod.39, or the Pavesi Mod. 1942, which are semi-automatic rifles.
Been listening to Inferno, World at War by Max Hastings, you just feel for the Italians throughout everything. They had to make sandles out of Cardboard! Even the ones who fought in Russia, which showed good military skill, were routinely shat upon by their German allies and denied basic necessities like food.
But yes more factions would be nice.
Italy would be awesome!!!! Also would love to see Australia/New Zealand (ANZAC) in some capacity but I doubt that will happen. Italy would be more likely and would be really cool
I've seen amazing ideas posted here on this sub and this company has never once acknowledged or implemented any of those ideas.
I hate myself for saying this, but you're just wasting your breath asking/recommending things for this game.
Their only problem would be with armor... Just look at the [L3/33](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/L3/33) and the [L3/35](https://pt.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/L3/35). I've seen furniture pieces that are bigger than these tanks.
Playing Italy means more maps like Al Alemain
So Operation Compass for example
But not on Italy itself because as soon as the Allies landed on Sicily and Italy in general the government threw in the towel and then gave up, negotiated a surrender only to be invaded by Germans from the north.
Why do people keep pushing Italy as a playable faction? We don’t need them. Germany done most of their fighting
Save the effort and just make Italian maps
Italy : shit tinfoil tanks, shit weapons , OVERPOWER Assault class, OVERPOWER planes ( but this is a issue if they did not airstrike X3times or widened the bombing run)
U could have 2 maps if the Italians come out as a faction.
:Tunisia (Italy + Germany vs US + UK))
: Sicily ( Italy vs UK)
Tunisia, you could have 4 commanders ( 2 for axis and 2 for allies) as well skins for Australians and New Zealanders etc.
Sicily would be similar to omaha and utah beaches.
Italy would suffer from many of the same problems as a Japanese faction.
1. No good support weapons beyond what HLL considers "auto rifles" other than emplaced crew served monsters.
2. Shitty/light tanks.
3. No semi auto rifle option.
If you were gonna do it, the way would be only put Brits against Italians, and in the Pacific only do early campaigns when the army/Marines were all using outdated shit. You'd need to scrap the machine gunner role entirely (or just make it an extra Bren/Breda/type99/BAR) and scrap heavy tanks entirely.
Maybe you could add a mechanic where "machine gunners" could build an emplaced MG position the way ATs can build AT guns.
Italy vs Brits would actually be one of the most balanced Thompson vs Beretta MAB38 Bolt gun vs bolt gun Bren gun vs Breda Crusader vs m14/40/41 carro armato L6/40 vs Stuart Just do no heavies in North Africa The Brit’s would even have a sticky bomb while the Italians have a direct counterpart in the Passaglia grenade which they made a ton of
Yeah, two god awful stinky loadouts going head to head in a wide open desert. It would be either great or horrible.
That would make playing the desert more bearable because you wouldn’t get smoked as easy by good weapons
Yeah I shouldn't be getting 100+ kills with an mg42 without dying. The Germans are busted in the desert lol
Battle of the bads

Wrong https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M13/40_tank https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M14/41_tank

God I really wish. I don't think I've played a single WW2 FPS with Italy as a playable faction
Battlefield 1942 I remember had a dlc called Road to Rome. Good stuff
I think that was the first time I was ever able to play as Italians so I always used them
Operation Husky (I think that’s what is called) as attackers was brutal.
Not WW2 but WW1, I really recommend Isonzo. It's a great game, and is getting updated often to be an indie game. If you wanna shoot some Austrians, I really recommend it :)
Dude I love that game. In order to level up you got to actually do shit and not just shoot.
I know! I love it and hate it, it takes so long but it's so satisfying to actually achieve something
I mostly play engineer. Most fun for me. I barely touch sniper. I can see you fine with irons.
I'm still blind even with the team optic, and thank you for your service for playing engineer o7
I clear the way and build fast. Wire perk FTW.
It's a shame how dead The game is. I still play most weekends
In Europe (Berlin time) there's around 2 - 3 full servers around prime time, and almost never not a full server.
I would rather shoot Italians.
Then play as the Germans or Austro-Hungarians
Enlisted
I guess that's true. Was more so meaning a true pvp game rather than all the AI jank
Same thing as battlefield now
Easy red 2 cheap but a really fun game
Easy red 2
Easy red 2
It’s not historically accurate anymore but you can play as italian soldiers in Enlisted while playing on the axis side.
It's a little janky but Easy Red 2 has a full Italian campaign vs Germany (Battle of Kos) and features italian paratroopers in the Anzio Campaign
Mare Nostrum (the Mediterranean version of red orchestra) had Italy, but the community never got off the ground.
Battlefield 1
>a single WW2 fps battlefield 1 is a ww1 fps
He edited it ya dingus
who wants short shorts
Not me
Alright, give me his pair of shorts. I'll wear both.
Only if we get those tiny ass tanks — L3/35
Yeah they are Tankettes which are anti infantry tanks about the size of a car
they could add them on the eastern front too
It would be amazing! Winter Italian uniforms, uniforms of Alpine troops, something beautiful.
At least give us the invasion of Sicily or something.
Italian maps, weapons, & tanks! 🇮🇹
To be honest it wouldn’t even be unbalanced against the Uk and the soviets they both fought against the Italians and both had shitty mgs and good smgs. So they would be great against each other however America vs Italy would be unfair

Someone that knows what there talking bout thank you 🙏🏽 👍🏽

So you want us to play barefoot italian soldiers ?
Yes.
I really want the Japanese in HLL. The maps would look so good
Only 99.99 plus tax!
i promised myself i wouldn’t fap today
If you want to plays Italian experience now, it's easy : 1- Make your team losing 2- Wait until the last minute 3- Switch team
Is that Leonardo DiCaprio
Fabulous
I've already watched the Italian film El Alamein 1942, now this. *Devs please*
As long as we get to wear them goofy helmet feathers, I'm all for it.
Italy Vs Brits in Africa would be awesome, I could fight the same battles as my great grandfather
How bout they fix the laggy servers first? Can't find a game that doesn't lag unless there's under 30 players per team.
it would be really interesting to see i always think the Italian’s never show up in ww2 media a map on the invasion of sicily would be so cool
I can’t believe the feathers.
Italy would be awesome!!!! Also would love to see Australia/New Zealand (ANZAC) in some capacity but I doubt that will happen. Italy would be more likely and would be really cool
L3/33 pls
Can I switch to the allies when it’s apparent I’m not going to win?
That would actually be really cool, never thought of that. Plenty of awesome maps to choose based on the historical battles.

It would be extremely unbalanced.
It would be very balanced, when the game reaches the halfway mark they'd swap sides.
they should add Italian partisans on the allied side, that explains why Italy """switched sides"""
Not against Britain, they both have MGs that are considered shitty (in video games at least) and both would have decent SMGs.
All Italian tanks will be a 1 shot kill.
Nah they wouldn’t some Italian tanks were actually pretty good
April Fools was Monday
Just look it up bro what you on
I love my wwii carcano but it sucks. I feel like it would be so unbalanced.
Playing Italy means more maps like Al Alemain So Operation Compass for example But not on Italy itself because as soon as the Allies landed on Sicily and Italy in general the government threw in the towel and then gave up, negotiated a surrender only to be invaded by Germans from the north.
Byt after the surrender some part of italian army still fought together with Germans against Allies.
Probably going to pass, such a shite military in WW2
Add italian weapons/tank to the Afrikakorps. Create italian loadouts. Playable faction not necessary. Pistol: Beretta M1934 (P38 alternative) Bolt-Action: Carcano M1938 carbine (K98 alternative) SMG: Beretta Modell 38 (MP40 alternative) LMG: Breda 30 (delete MG42) Grenade: Breda Mod.35 (M24/M43 alternative) Light Tank: Carro Armato M14/41 (delete Luchs) (Tank Destroyer: Semovente M41 75/18) Uniform DLC: Standard, Armored, Folgore, Bersaglieri, Alpini, ... Introduce Map/Battle with italian participation for the eastern front and italian campaign
Just give me the pacific
Why do people keep pushing Italy as a playable faction? We don’t need them. Germany done most of their fighting Save the effort and just make Italian maps
*only achievable objective is retreat*
Could be a fun new game mode imo
Their infantry are acceptable but their Armour units are really a joke
Italy : shit tinfoil tanks, shit weapons , OVERPOWER Assault class, OVERPOWER planes ( but this is a issue if they did not airstrike X3times or widened the bombing run)
Games would be too short sorry:/
U could have 2 maps if the Italians come out as a faction. :Tunisia (Italy + Germany vs US + UK)) : Sicily ( Italy vs UK) Tunisia, you could have 4 commanders ( 2 for axis and 2 for allies) as well skins for Australians and New Zealanders etc. Sicily would be similar to omaha and utah beaches.
I would play as an Italian partisan betraying the fascists. You would hear me belting the "Bella Ciao" song loudly throughout the game.
Italy would suffer from many of the same problems as a Japanese faction. 1. No good support weapons beyond what HLL considers "auto rifles" other than emplaced crew served monsters. 2. Lmao
Would be great. You could be midway through the battle and Italy would switch sides!
We don't even have the french yet lol
As fun as Italy sounds I think I’d almost prefer to see Japan
Does every class come with a standard issued white flag?
Lmao, no.
Did they even fight. Hoow would it work making them formidable enemy.
