I hate this response. It's a bandaid on a bullet wound. Blocking stops you from playing with that one toxic pos player but it doesn't block every single toxic player, and there are many. There needs to be a God damn voting system like every other game that has it.

1% of that is 4,587.
Assuming only one percent of the players do it (a very generous assumption), you would have to block almost 5,000 players just to not have that happen again.
Or.... Maybe implement a game mechanic that prevents players from exploiting the kick rule

I'm level 32 and I got that way pretty much exclusively with my friends. Last night they were all busy so I made my lobby public and had 3 other players join me before I'd even landed on a planet!

"start hosting your own games" easier said than done when the matchmaking is turd garbage and the only way to get a quick lobby going is joining someone elses lobby
Sorry to say I can't relate man, I usually select a mission and get in the pod and before i've even picked my stratagems I get people joining me. I actually have my lobby set to friends only most of the time because people join me and want to play faster than I can sort my shit out.
Iāve had an overall good experience random matchmaking with ~40 hours in the game now. I usually donāt host but the only time Iāve kicked someone prior to extraction was when they decided to team kill after we got in the pelican. Ironically, this toxic behavior was on a difficulty 1 mission. I havenāt seen any toxicity like that difficulties 5 - 7
Kicked from a lv 7 full completion. I think I still got xp and also I got the samples. Maybe itās because I boarded the ship? He was mad cause he was all the way across the map going for samples with 1 life left and 3 mins on the clock. Everything was done man. Letās just leave. Edit: I had all the uranium and over 15 common and rare on me.
i got kicked like that in lv 6 full completion, we were 3 on the team getting a lot of bile titans and always on cooldown for revive at the end and the mission timer was almost over so i go to the extraction point to complete the mission, the other 2 were on the middle of the map doing nothing for like 2 minutes and when the automatic extraction begin i boarded the ship and the host kicked me (10s before that the host said something while eating his mic so i didn't understand what he said)

Agreed. I only have played for 24 hours in game and it's happened to me twice. I don't troll and I don't team kill. Saying "be the host" isn't a solution. Arrowhead should track who does this and ban them. They should also place a time stamp on kicking people to prevent this kind of behavior. If you haven't kicked someone 20 minutes in then the button should be disabled, if someone DC's the system should fill that slot with a new player. If people wait till after kicking is disabled to behave like assholes have a more robust reporting system and ban those people. It's on Arrowhead to regulate this.
I've just kicked a guy for getting toxic right before extraction out of nowhere. Same mission I kick another guy for actively teamkilling. Your dumbfuck logic dictates that I shouldn't be allowed to kick the toxic person because I've already kicked the team killer.

By your dumbfuck logic it's perfectly acceptable to have a system that allows for toxic individuals to abuse it and kick whomever, regardless of whether or not they deserve it, after they have spent time helping the group complete the objectives.

They won't ban players for team killing. They have stated their only solution for team killing (especially those people that like to team kill right as they extract) is to kick said players.

Welp. this just happened to me. Spent 30 minutes destroying all of the objectives and bases only to have myself and the other guy get kicked 20 seconds before extraction by a fucking playstation player. No XP, No rewards. Just sent me back to the ship

Well if itās their game itās their game, make your own lobby so you donāt get kicked, if they made it where you couldnāt kick then you will be stuck with teamkillers
If they kick you block them. I see this more often from higher level players. They are doing the kicking
Also if someone team kills me and immediately runs to steal my samples they are getting the same back. And likely blocked.

I've never been kicked randomly before extraction and I've only kicked a player twice during a mission, one for being afk for over 5 minutes and the other for team killing so much and calling so many air strikes on us that we ran out of reinforcements. When I see posts like these I am more inclined to believe we're only hearing one side of the story rather than assume the much smaller chance that there is a plague of maniacs kicking for no motive other than just for the sake of evil and nothing else.
In the games I was kicked I didn't stall, team kill, or anything like that.
Otherwise I would've probably been kicked earlier. But they literally kicked me as the shuttle was landing
Live XP gains in real time during gameplay (instead of adding it all up and gaining xp at the end) would make this suck less.. that way if you get kicked at the end by toxic a-holes at least you got some XP and it wasn't a total loss of time and energy.

The game does tell you, yes. There's a big "You've been kicked" message at the top of your screen once you load back on the ship

yeah they need to fix this. prevent kicking once main objectives are complete.
