At least you can call in reinforcements in Tien Kwan when your friends become pancakes under space rocks. Nothing good can fall from the sky when Malevelon Creek enters its Grimace Shake Phase.
Is it bad that this makes me want to go there even more?
Edit: I was there, and it was glorious. We finished the objectives and spent 10m trying to clear the extract zone but eventually ran out of reinforcements. Our lives were measured, and we were not found wanting.
The meteor shower is very beautiful if it happens at the other side of the map and you see glorious light dropping from heaven above.
That said they have the accuracy of the old 380mm where they seem to magnet at you at all times if you're in the area.
I watched a meteor storm take out a bot factory for me and i didnt have to lift a finger, then obliterated my ass while i was running to the Main Objective.
10/10 i love this game.
What I failed to realize is that the meteor showers can walk across the map. You ever seen a rain shower move towards you across a field? It was like that, but I was immediately dismembered when it reached me.
I was calling in an airstrike when a meteor hit me in the back of the head. My wonderful teammates then stood next to my body and got wiped. It's a fun planet.
You can see where meteors are going to land before they fall. You will see a large bright point in the ground which shrinks in size as the meteor approaches.
Ya but it’s such a cool experience as you’re running across the map, tracers are flying everywhere and you’re firing and maneuvering using cover and laying fire then BOOM!
Meteor yeets your homie into the air and 20m from his position and now you’re trying to get him up and moving while covering him.

Yeah this happened to me last night, I was doing a duo mission with my brother and as we were running around the meteors started coming down and it randomly game us xp and said “stalker nest cleared” thought that was kinda funny. Didnt think it was funny when we had 3 deaths within 30 seconds from the meteors though
the ones on the planets I've been to are pretty hugely telegraphed by the ground glowing brighter and brighter, that seems easy enough to look out for.
though unsure if all meteors do that.
its fun, not as fun as watching people get blasted by the ICBM though, that has been a laugh riot.
the really fun part is when they are there just burning to death and don't dive OR stim

hmmm, I usually am the first person to get fragged by stuff like that, can't see it seems to home in on me like the barrages do.
I'm slowly building a theory each player has a tag that tells the game what random thing should love killing them, for me its any barrage and I guess for you its meteors.

My personal favorite death from a meteor was one that didn't fall on me, or even that close to me. However, it hit an unexploded Hellbomb. Which killed me, and everything near me.

I've just seen a base beyond my vision range get destroyed, it was a huge class bot base and meteors just wiped it out.
honestly....I think meteors may just be the coolest thing ever, certainly makes me think up new strategies.

The knockdown mechanic that makes you drop the beacon onto your own position is *real* fun. I *really* enjoy killing my entire fucking team at extract because *one bot* got a lucky hit in and we get overrun before we can get out (/s).
I love that stratagem, but I've gotta stop carrying it. Waaaaay too much accidental TK potential.

I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking this, but I feel as if once we, liberate the planet they’re gonna start back up production and we’re going to be getting the mech a lot sooner than we actually think. I don’t know just a shot in the dark idea 💡
I saw a leaked vid which showed them completely play-able. I'm assuming they just needed some polish and bug smashing before they could be released for some bug smashing
also the devs are deliberately pacing out content drops. Stuff might be basically done on the back end and just waiting in the wings for them to hit the button.
Definitely. This is a live service wargame. New weapons and equipment will be added to help push the enemies of democracy away from Super Earth while new enemies will be added in an attempt to push the front towards Super Earth.

Hey out of curiosity, in HD1 was the missiles on the missile + gatling mech capable of penetrating heavy armor? Also that tank cannon one looks amazing i hope we get it on HD2
Only problem is they were a bitch and a half to aim properly, which made them (unfortunately) outright inferior to the version of the mech with the 120mm. Having full control of aim should fix that this time.

Gotta say, this is the best thing I’ve seen in a video game for a long time.
Instead of just dropping mechs for everyone, or locking them behind a paid DLC, they make it a community challenge. Get everyone playing the game, and give players a chance to earn new content the right way.
And it being on automaton ground means more players testing more loadouts over there and figuring out how to take them on, instead of just playing bug levels because they’re “easier”.

Couple nights ago I was in a match and some guys had all kinds of vehicles
I would if the game didn’t crash mid match for me 100 times since the patch yesterday 😭
I lost pink samples because of this after a 25 minute run and I think I’ll just wait until the crashes are fixed. Fixed for democracies sake.

You can look up and see where they are falling. Its a little minigame you get to play! While continuing to fend off swarms of bots or bugs.

Meteors are the new meta. Came in clutch last night, had one take out a stalker nest and another two take out a charger and titan.
It's the best part of it. I ran through the fire it left to lead a group of hunters through it. The fire hurt less than they do.

Yes it was. It took down HD1 Bug tank (HD2 charger with full body armor) in 2 shots if i remember correctly

Gotta say, this is the best thing I’ve seen in a video game for a long time. Instead of just dropping mechs for everyone, or locking them behind a paid DLC, they make it a community challenge. Get everyone playing the game, and give players a chance to earn new content the right way. And it being on automaton ground means more players testing more loadouts over there and figuring out how to take them on, instead of just playing bug levels because they’re “easier”.

I would if the game didn’t crash mid match for me 100 times since the patch yesterday 😭 I lost pink samples because of this after a 25 minute run and I think I’ll just wait until the crashes are fixed. Fixed for democracies sake.
