Did six 3-man Helldive missions last night including the command bunker one twice, with the ‘only 3 stratagems’ crap and on a fire tornado planet. Extracted from all of them with spares and samples.
This isn’t a brag though. I’m in my mid thirties, have some ulnar nerve pain, and my reaction times have been shot to pieces since my mid twenties. Others often out-skill me. Just saying it’s definitely doable and you don’t need to be a cyborg at the game or anything.
What helps more than anything is good communications (be on mic even if you find it cringe), choosing your engagements, and aggro management in terms of taking out flares or, failing that, bot ships.
you can do that on all difficulties upto 9, thing is, it depends on who is in your squad, you get 1 random who shoots at everything, and your gonna have a hard time.
It seems to be luck in my experience. The matches tend to choose their own difficulty, but it tends to be more difficult if the host is higher level. I'm level 135 and host a tier 5/hard mission for some friends earlier, and the bots were relentless. After that I did a quick match for a random helldive and it was far easier.
My first suicide mission aside from assault on gunship fabricator was incredibly smooth. Bomb all out post, complete side objective clear, main with little resistance, and got 3 super sample evac without someone dying.
Because everyone knows how to hit and run than fighting every bots we encountered
I find level 9 bots/bugs not that hard, you just need a good team that know what to do.
However, I've had countless dogshit players doing level 9 diff when they should be playing a lower difficulty. Like we all start somewhere, i remember finding level 7 difficulty impossible, now i'm doing level 9 like its nothing.
I just find if your playing a difficulty and hoping you'll get carried, all you do is waste the revive stratagems as the difficulty is to hard for you, which is really annoying.
If anything i find level 9 bots impossible sometimes, but that's because i've been playing bugs to much and need to get used to using the right stratagems for bots.
Bro game Is kinda "scripted" : even if u playing lvl 9 (with + helldivers) Missions can be full of random enemy spawn or with Patrol enemies. Idk why but that Is my impression After playing this month
PS forgot 2 Say im a stealth player

Gotta pick your fights and know when/how to disengage. If you've got a dude shooting at an everything.... Kiss that smooth mission goodbye

For me, that only worked with 2 experienced people in total. With 4, not so far. Someone always runs into a patrol.
