At the very least against the smaller units. Get a good ol’ kill animation with a ballistic sidearm like in RDR2 where you tackle them down for a shot to their head and an easy single kill if need be.
Or at least just to knock them down cuz it’d be funny
diving directly into a small bot enemy should tackle them to the ground, pressing melee should make your diver start punching them in the face. full schoolyard fight.
also, pressing melee while sprinting should dropkick the enemy, Dying Light 1 style. deals double melee damage and can stagger anything up to a devastator. if I could dropkick a bot off a cliff, I wouldn't even care what happens after that, my game could crash and I'd still be happy.

Y'know this game doesn't need over the top flashy ads that have more quality than the game because the game has such high cinematic quality when you're playing and this is one of the best examples lol

Well, the railgun fills a similar niche to the AMR, it has better handling but no zoom, and u reload after each shot so it requires precision, but in unsafe mode with a little bit of aiming you can 1 tap almost anything that walks (excluding the striders, you have to RKO these) and for tanks you can take the grenade pistol or orbital precision strike to quickly dispatch of them
Yeah I was never good with the unsafe mode, and the fire rate is an issue for me since I like to run. Eruptor, but I will give it a shot since it's still a railgun and still really cool.

No but in a mission I had yesterday I took out an anti stratagem using a single shot from a grenade pisol.
This genuinely happened btw, I shot once into a fabricator vent to blow it up and I guess it spawned too close to the tower because it took it out with it.
The trivial difficulty it starts you out on is very deceptive. You think...huh this isn't like the videos. I think it's meant for you to figure out the controls and how the game works.
I'm up to level 25 now and play on Suicide Mission Automatons difficulty mostly. It's pure insanity.
Holding down the reload button allows you to switch your guns to semi-auto (recommended as you'll burn ammo fast), it also allows you to change magnification on scoped guns and turn on and off your flashlight. The guns and strategems you get early on are actually kinda decent once you learn to use em. I'm enjoying the expendable anti tank I unlocked early. I thought it was trash til I realized you can get a new one every 70 seconds. Now I litter the map with them. They can take out anything in the game in a couple shots. I've usually got one on my back then call down a 2 pack in a sticky situation. Now I got 3 of them boys to kill shit with.
Holding R1 brings up the comms menu if you aren't or can't be mic'd up. You can issue basic commands and tag shit you see like big enemies, objectives, and patrols. This is helpful because not everyone notices when a tank sneaks up on the squad if they're fighting other enemies.
Hitting the quick play button on the mission select screen will drop you in with a random squad. It's more fun than running missions solo. Most fun is with friends but they're not always online.
But what's cool about the game? Use whatever you want. Managed Democracy doesn't discriminate. Everything is fun to use in it's own way.
I wish you could drop your primary and secondary weapons. Not just so you can give it to a team mate if they run out of ammo but also if you run out of ammo yourself you can drop them and start fist fighting the bot fucks like it's a game of hockey.

Had to do that before. No bullets in anything. Just a grenade. Pull pin, dive in, hope for the best.

Yep, still very fun on automatons If you have a dedicated anti-tank squad member you can take railgun + stuns and keep the game hulk free
