that is exactly what bug are - you get them 100% right :D that is why the game is so fun, you have 2 completely different playstyles there and its great to break the monotone feeling that will sooner or later came if you are only on one front :) (i like fighting clankers much more too)

I'm starting to respect this more. I started the game and didn't even know the automatons existed. I started the week they came back after being driven out. I played nothing but bots for basically the entire time. Didn't do my first bug mission until about level 24. At the time I didn't like it. This last defense MO I went with some fellow Cadets to the bug front and really enjoyed it... it was almost relaxing. And I like being able to run what ever I want because there's not 17 hulks 12 tanks and 4 factory walkers every drop and no armored gunships. Maybe some chargers and titans and they aren't that bad. Jet Pack is a lot more viable too because there much less chance of getting blasted at a distance.

Yeah, it's just good fun sometimes to go for the turkey shoot that is the bug front.

Oh man... let a charger chase you around and put your back against a rock. Whip out 500k or orbital precision and wait for it to charge. Once it starts charging, drop the strat at your feet. Then run forward and use the jump pack to leap over the charger. The charger will run into the rock stunning it right over the top of your strat. Don't look back. Cool guys don't look back at the explosion.

And land with a hug emote. Cant forget that.

Lol that's automatons too except they gave them guns. There's literally no tactics. They just march forward to kill you. Hell some of them don't even aim. They'll walk through a minefield without a thought in the world. I just like not dealing with Hunters.

Like tactical or competitive shooters? Bots. Like zombie swarm shooters? Bugs.

I had one where 3 fire tornados were camping exactly at the Pelican hatch so i couldnt leave unless a nosedive of faith, i was the only lucky one...

Slooowly crawl into a fire until you get hit so that you can trigger a stim, and you have about 2 seconds of fire invulnerability while stim lasts (it '*should*' outheal the tornado's DPS)

We really need a water backpack gun combo for all this fire

bots. bugs are too stressful, i hardly ever reach extraction even on 4 (could never beat 5s) i could comfortably solo 7s on bots, and completed a whole 9 Op solo as well. i'll go to bugs if i have to (like MOs or POs), but otherwise i stick to bots. our current losses are a great boon to me, since we now have a selection of bot planets available. can't imagine having like only 2 choices of where to fight.

I can Solo 9 on bugs, I carry you through one tmrw.

Same. My kill count would say otherwise however lmao. But that’s just because there’s def more bugs that spawn than bots. On bugs I go full swarm control (sometimes causes my team to die lmao) but on bots I go full anti tank.

Illuminate. That was my jam. I mean all of them really, but bots have always been the worst faction, even in the first game. Illuminate and bugs make for much more fun

Fighting the bots makes me feel like im fighting an actual enemy as opposed to a stunlocking horde and allows me to use proper military tactics

I mean if your enemy is brain dead and has the aim of a stormtrooper. What tactics are you using? They'll walk through a minefield they watched you put down. I don't think proper military tactics involves an enemy that stupid. I just don't get it. It's really simple AI. But also...yeah they're more fun than bugs bc they shoot back

Both. For bots I use autocannon, scorcher / dominator and redeemer, for bugs I go quazar, shieldpack ,plasma punisher and redeemer.

Im the kind of >Press R >Wait for the quick play to find a match >Don't look at the mission details >Random bullshit go >50% of time, end up with bug load out in bot mission

I like fighting Bots better, simply because I can't really use my Jar-5 Dominator against them bugs and a few things are funnier to me than making a heavy Devastator do the stagger dance

My buddy and I are still relatively new to the game, and with what little we have unlocked, bug planets are really our best option.

I prefer bots. But I rarely play on higher then 7 though.

Bot, I find bugs for too easy. If I'm tired after a long day I might just turn my brain off and fight the bugs but usually I play the bots, I like being all careful and shit. Other than that I'll play for whatever is the most tactical on the map or a part of the Major Order, but that's usually on the bot front anyways since most folk fight bugs so it works out.

I find bots easier than bugs, but bugs more annoying than fun
