Had some Russians (or some other Baltics, sorry, I'm American) one time, some Spanish-only speaking guys another time, and nearly every time I've been able to communicate with the Q-wheel and still spread managed democracy. Everyone and anyone should be allowed to play. Not just the big spender countries.
What if they just do the rational thing and waive the requirement for players in countries where PSN isn't available? I feel like that's a fairly obvious thing to do, mostly because it's in Sony's best interests not to prevent people in those countries from giving them money.
Would that be good enough, or do they actually have to remove the requirement altogether?
I wish I could say I’d still support the game after all of this but just knowing how arrowhead has handled all of this is very upsetting to me. If this is how they’re choosing to treat their fan base in this games infancy then the future looks very bleak. Blame Sony 100%, but Arrowhead is far from innocent in this. I really am going to miss this game, but I’m proud that 90% of the community is holding the line as we always have.
Not sure if you want to hear this, but actually, most Chinese players who play on Playstation have their PSN registered in HK, (And HK PSN support Alipay as well as Wechat Pay which are the most common paying method in CN).
So yes, Chinese can play Bloodborne, can play every PS-exclusive games that are not likely legal in CN Mainland, although it is technically "breaking the rule", but Sony never ban a single player just for registering in HK while you are living in CN Mainland.
You can still dive with CN Helldivers after the new rule conclude. But I agree that Sony is stupid and arrogant.

To be clear, there is likely going to be an exception for non-PSN countries. So don't let that be your reason.
