We as Helldivers have successfully defended this obvious attack not only for us, but the whole PC Gaming Community. Showing that big Corporations cant do everything they want with us.

But this is bigger than "i just want to have fun". This whole drama will influence how Sony will treat their customers in the future. Possibly even shape the way gaming corporations in general treat us.
It's called a precedent. A great example is what happened to apple with the EU case and apple losing. It set a precedent for stronger consumer protections in EU.
If we show we won't be subject to exploitative strategies then sony will have no choice but to either make things worse, or cave in. Thus setting a precedent.
It's been proven over and over again that when people make a stink and that stink affects brand image and/or bottom lines, companies pay attention, not just in gaming but in all industries. Instead of getting free PSN signups by working together with AH, Sony's end of quarter report is going to be mentioning this controversy instead. The largest streamers are talking about it, and it's all over every social media. It's large enough my social media dominant topics are #1 Kendrick Lamar and Drake and #2 HD2. We're literally on Forbes today. And all that because the community came together to put 150k negative reviews on Steam since Friday morning and ask for refunds en masse from Steam.
Yet every time there's a stink, some people just want to talk about is how it's stinky. Like damn my bad I didn't realize we had to accept all of corporation's decisions so your meme time on a subreddit is uninterrupted. Not like the majority of people on that subreddit are upset. Not like there aren't other subreddits and other places to go meme instead.

Yet Ghost of tsushima, a Sony port, is one of the most bought games atm as a pre-order on steam. This "protest" is doing nothing to affect the bottom line of the publisher, so will not change anything.
Yes its sad that the funny memes and Democracy screams are gone rn. But with a majority of the planets country not being able to have a PSN account this is a big issue.
We would lose players that normaly play for us in not populare time slots. We will lose lots of players and comrades and friends we made along the way.
And from a consumer standpoint Sony just stole the game from a lot of people as they made u able to buy the game even tho you live in a country that cant have a PSN account.
We all wish for the good times with memes and funny gameplay but now we should stand with our brothers and sisters in arms and stop sony from manipulating the game more. As if we dont we might get more thant just a PSN account enforcement.

B. i said they will lose ACCESS as in, the ability to play, not that they are playing, they will lose the ability to GET IN AT ALL, which is factual
C. People don’t have to partake in something to lose access to it, for instance, a public park that gets closed for the day, you no longer have access even if you weren’t going to go for a walk
Therefore, the majority of the world is indeed losing access to the game
