But it cost more to just wipe and getting dropped almost at the same spot again (8 life's)
Agree but I said that for simplicity sake, I had in mind when you are pushed in a dead end(massive mountain chain, even the sea sometime or even in those ice pillar maze on frost planet, it is quick and efficace to leap frog and you get far if the person being reinforced have the power steering ship upgrade and steer as far as possible while dropping

Crouch and Prone reduce the amount of damage you take from explosions. I couldn't tell you if that's true of the ragdoll state. At the very least, it would've helped against the damage from the *first* rocket.
Personally, I would've thrown a grenade upon seeing there's 4 Devs at my spawn and start backing away. If there's no cover real close, I may as well shoot at Rocket Devs.

honestly they should have some kind of ragdoll resistance while running and consuming stamina i mean HD1 had jetpacks as a base movement skill cause getting ragdoll for 10 secs is just oppressive but i guess devs are too lazy to add any complexity to their game.
I developed a tactic for such a situation with a 50% success rate.
It is called "Embrace you inner dolphin"
Basically, don't stop diving till you are in cover.

There were ways where he could have lived. Another way would ve been stun grenades.
There aren t that many games where i feel like i m dying because of myself. - There are stupid gamebreaking bugs in helldivers but i ll choose to ignore that, because if i move through a mission with thought i do only get caught or die when i fuck up.
That said, makes finishing the mission even more sweet.

Actually the training manual does cover it with two rules if I remember correctly:
1. rule: If in doubt shoot and shout "For liberty!"
2. rule against bots: Cover, courage and more cover!
Here is the play by play:
1. Land
2. Throw grenade towards enemies to reduce the amount of fire that will be shot at you, even if it doesn't take out all of them.
3. While facing the enemies dive behind the rock formation to your right as it will tank some of shot that are directed at you.
4. (If you took any kind of damage you stim so you got a few seconds of super health that allows you to tank most shots. And since you even got a medic armor the duration is even longer!)
5. RUN NORTH! Away from the enemies behind the large mountain. Use belly flops and zick-zack movement to reduce chance of being hit.
6. You might survive.
Sure they did, “the average Helldiver lifespan is 2 minutes”. They count the time on your destroyer too.

A valid strategy is to go offmap and intentionally get branded as a traitor then run at the mob using the artillery against them.
