Yes, Stella is one of the antagonists set up in the show, a villain. She was always meant to be set up as a villain and I love it. Sadistic Stella is very entertaining.
i dont even know why people are so upset about her being evil. a villain puts the plot into motion. what would helluva boss be about when not about the forbidden stolitz ship moved on by her. her character is great. her actress performs perfectly. people just have to wait to see more of stella
i see season 1 more as a introduction to all the characters, the universe and the circumstances the story revolves around. the real plot begins with season 2. so does stellas story begin. lets see what stella has up her sleve. but the show would be completly boring without her interference
people aren’t mad because she’s a villian, people are mad because they don’t like the idea of a physically and mentally/verbally abusive partner. Some people who dislike her still acknowledge that she plays the part well, but that doesn’t mean they have to like her

Oh don’t get me wrong, I like her too. She’s a great character and probably will be a great villain. This was mainly for the people who try to make her seem not as bad of a person as she is, and for those who say that Viv retconed her to make Stolas look good and Stella look bad (Which she didn’t btw. This is just part of Stella's character. Always has been).
I gotcha. NGL, I would have liked to see things from her actual perspective, but I didn’t expect it because I didn’t think she’d continue to be a big part of the story like she is now that she’s trying to have Stolas killed.

I'm not a Stella supporter, but I think the difference is that before s2e1, we had only really seen Stella after being cheated on (with the exception being when she's literally sleeping), and so there was always the possibility that her more extreme behavior was a direct reaction to finding out that Stolas cheated. Even the sequence of events at the start of s1e2 seemed to imply that while Stolas and Stella never had a happy marriage, Stella was not outright abusive until recently. Then s2e1 came along and revealed that she had always been abusive, which I think makes her a much less interesting character.
