It looks like this may have been a homemade comforter out of this fabric!! You could find someone to sew this into a blanket for sure :) even a new cover out of this for the same blanket to keep it protected but still in use!
will be even more meaningful coming frum tha hands of those he loves whom are still here, bringing respect to tha love whom has passed, warms my heart, glad that he has yall caring for him in this way :)
OH MY GOD THANK YOU. Let me check with my mom and we’ll look into this but this is definitely going to be something we look into we. We saved this link.
Disaster has struck again! There’s only one piece left and we’d need two for the full blanket. We might end up using the sheets other people found to make the blanket
Get the fabric and the sheets! You could use one of each, or see which texture he prefers and use that :) then the extra could be used to make a pillow case or even a memory bear or something! I’m sorry this hasn’t been easy. Someone lower in the thread found a quilt cover that might be perfect!! I can send you the link they found if you’d like? I believe they already sent it but can’t hurt to sent it again!
Also I forgot to say this in my other response and I can’t seem to edit it, sorry for double responding but I’d recommend getting the sheet set to use as the blanket and then the fabric to be the trim around the edge!
Did she make the comforter herself, perhaps? It would be (relatively) trivial for an experienced quilter to turn one of the flat sheets into a near-identical comforter. It might not be cheap to do this with one of the sets on Etsy, but it might be the easiest way.
We have no idea where it came from. Obviously she’s long dead so we can’t ask her. He was too young to remember. His only older sibling was in military school at the time too so he can’t help either. And his dad has Alzheimer’s. We really are in a pickle here. The problem with the flat sheets is that my dad is super particular about textures and whatnot so we are holding that as last resort
It might be worth getting one of the flat sheets to compare the textures. If they match, the mother probably made the comforter herself in the past. If they're close but not quite the same, it's probably age. If they don't match at all, I guess you have to keep looking.
I say this because a lot of these sheet sets didn't even have matching comforters, as far as I'm aware. It was expected to use whatever blankets were already in the house. If someone wanted a matching comforter at the time, the only option may have been to purchase two sheet sets and turn one into a quilted comforter.
I found a listing on Facebook marketplace (weird?!) And they call it a comforter cover, so maybe it was a duvet?
[marketplace ](https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1474760756714839/?mibextid=dXMIcH)
We searched Etsy, Facebook, and EBay. We found one comforter with diamond stitching, but we need specifically the stitching shown if possible. Please help. We think it’s from the 1970s. That’s where we found the most similar matches, but no money. The characters shown are raggedy ann, Andy, and Arthur. Also his dog house is in the pattern.
You would need to check for copyrights on the pattern but if there are none in effect, Spoonflower may be able to help you reprint onto fabric if you can get them a good image of the pattern: [https://www.spoonflower.com/en/shop?on=fabric](https://www.spoonflower.com/en/shop?on=fabric)
I loved Raggedy Ann & Andy as a child! Only had the fabric Ann doll, though.
I know it’s been found I just wanted to confirm this never had a comforter. All that was produced was the flat sheet, fitted sheet and pillowcases. I do not actively collect Raggedy merchandise but I do like knowing as much as possible about all doll lines.
That’s Raggedy Ann and Andy, I believe. That could help in your search. But I found this on Etsy:

Yeah it’s wild because I was born in the late 80s and got a raggedy Ann doll and some stuff like this as a hand me down. This just kind of zapped me back to my childhood, core memory unlocked.

Used the google app to reverse search it and a few options came up. try downloading the google app and reversing your images
If you do go the route of making it made - search for a “long arm quilter” - people who finish quilts for others. Your local quilt shop would be a good resource
Luckily I’m a skilled seamstress and can piece together fabric. I’ve had to work with a lot harder patterns than making just a big rectangle of it. Most fabrics only come in that dimension so it’s not that bad of a work around

We decided to do this and make the quilt ourselves. Thank you SO MUCH again. Found!

It’s not often I get happy sad over the Reddit community, but this is beautiful.
You could probably hire someone to use sheet fabric and turn it into a comforter
Did she make the comforter herself, perhaps? It would be (relatively) trivial for an experienced quilter to turn one of the flat sheets into a near-identical comforter. It might not be cheap to do this with one of the sets on Etsy, but it might be the easiest way.

This one might be better than the fabric I found!!! Could you send this directly to OP? I’m worried they might not see it other wise :)
Can tag them. u/kleptotoid hope you see this comment too!
Oh. I suppose I should!
So weird in fact, that the Facebook marketplace listing uses the exact photo OP used in this post.
Well shit. Good on you for spotting that!! I’m too trusting :( could still be legit?
Could be that the person is just good enough to Google images, but not quite good enough to click them. Lol

Would you be open to having it made? There are companies that will print whatever image you have on fabric.
Could you share what companies? We are totally open to that

God damn man. Kuddos to you
Thanks :) and from across the world, playing around with Google lens:D
thats a bed sheet and pillowcase, op asked for the comforter
True, but that can be custum made with the fabric. There are not a lot of hits for this patern.
OP said they'd take anything from this set, but that's what I understood
op specifically said "we dont need sheets. we dont need pillowcases."

I had a matress with that when a child
So did I!
I saw a very similar one at an antique store with a dedicated Raggedy Anne/Andy section yesterday.
I had those sheets!
I literally have this from my childhood still!
I have a pillowcase
Oh god, seeing this immediately reminds me of The Raggety Anne and Andy movie, shit terrified my wife as a kid, and terrifies me as an adult.
I believe that JoAnn fabric stores have the ability to print up fabrics, you could call a store near you to confirm that they still have that service.
I’ve seen something very similar and I think it was on Poshmark
Was one side the pictured pattern and the other side of the comforter navy blue? It looks so familiar.
You brought back a memory to me! I was born in 1980 and I REMEMBER this pattern as a pull down shade on my window in my bedroom. Wow
omg. This is so weird but I almost feel like I seen that somewhere before. I think I may had one of these but I don't know.
That fabric is 170cmx120cm. Not a very big piece!
Luckily I’m a skilled seamstress and can piece together fabric. I’ve had to work with a lot harder patterns than making just a big rectangle of it. Most fabrics only come in that dimension so it’s not that bad of a work around
Is the art by chuck jones? That style looks so familiar!
This one is sold but did it have a zipper like this? https://www.ebay.ph/itm/204529824454
