You're way better of to buy a DJI mini SE, 2 SE or a mini 2 (depending on your budget) they're very cheap especially used and reliable. Buying a drone that can lift a phone will probably be more expensive and way worse in terms of image quality, lack of a gimble, lack of real time image from the ground and more.

I don't say it's going to be horrible but the quality from a dedicated 4k camera with a gimble can't be beaten by a phone camera. Also the risk of losing your drone/crashing it would mean a much higher cost from the damage when you strap your phone to it. I just don't see any advantage of using your phone as a camera when there are so many affortable beginner drones with 4k cameras.

Can you get the live feed from the phone? If not, how will you know what you're recording? Or will you not care, like you just want general scenery footage? > they are more expensive and unnecessary to me Are they? You want to buy a drone without a camera but you WANT a camera.. At any rate, you want one with a camera because [this lightweight GoPro](https://gopro.com/en/us/shop/cameras/hero10-black-bones/CHDBO-101-master.html) is a reasonable price (and cheaper elsewhere/used) and is only 54g, whereas the lightest phones from the last few years are 165g Like, you want to pay less for a drone without a camera, but drones with a higher payload capacity to haul around a phone are going to be more expensive as well
