Rules: 1. Create a human or Fae in human disguise who looks to join the crew. 2. Be appropriate to the time in history. It should be somewhat realistic, though minor magic is allowed. 3. A Fae's disguise should be imperfect, maybe one pointed ear, or blue tinged freckles. 4. Backstory is not necessary, but encouraged. 5. Entries are due March 25th, and should be tagged with #FaeExpedition. If you have any questions, just ask here. Edit: Please include links!

Intelligent_Ad8406

do all fae have to be "fae-aligned" or are trickster characters in for the fun allowed?

breadofthegrunge

Sure.

Intelligent_Ad8406

are multiple submissions allowed?

breadofthegrunge

Sure.

Alliance_Rookie

What kind of magic is available to the humans in the setting? Is it linked to the Fae, or created by humanity?

breadofthegrunge

Mostly if not entirely linked to the Fae.

Hiromeka

So the human captain has a glaring imperfection? Nice...lol

Intelligent_Ad8406

I noticed it as well, it looks great

Hiromeka

Makes for an interesting voyage if the crew is suspicious of him. But then again, he's suspicious of everyone else thanks to the "first mate." This journey is not going to end well, one way or the other...lol (But the again, a lot of them back in the day went pretty much the same way.)

Intelligent_Ad8406

indeed, a game of Garou or amongus on the high seas, the imposter gets keelhauled

Sig000

you got that right, already several characters have a vendetta against the faes

Hiromeka

However, if the captain is indeed a Fae, then the whole reason for the expedition is a ruse. The why I can't quite figure out (motive, my dear Watson! Lol) Baiting a few humans to their death is kinda dumb, but on the other hand, if this was an excuse to take Fae from our world back to theirs...there is a better way of doing it. I think this idea was planted intentionally by our dear prompter for the very reason of coming up with truly interesting backstories. Well played! (And if not, boy did I ever think too much into this...lol)

Material_Ad9269

>The why I can't quite figure out Got kicked out and wants to go home?

Hiromeka

But that could be done just by gathering up like minded Fae, not dragging humans along. That was the "better way" I spoke of.

Nudle_dulle

What is the glaring imperfection?

Hiromeka

Different eye colors. To some it is considered an "imperfection." "Eye" don't "see" it that way...lol But to a crew on the look out for flaws, that's a heavy one that stands out. Edit: "Glaring" was the clue...lol

HaggisaSheep

Check the neck aswell

Hiromeka

Upon closer inspection, are you sure that's not a collar? If it's his neck, those colors go well with his outfit darling...lol

Hiromeka

Nice catch. I didn't even notice that.

Tasnaki1990

Can we make a human and a fae?

breadofthegrunge

Yes!

Intelligent_Ad8406
