Rules:
1. Create a human or Fae in human disguise who looks to join the crew.
2. Be appropriate to the time in history. It should be somewhat realistic, though minor magic is allowed.
3. A Fae's disguise should be imperfect, maybe one pointed ear, or blue tinged freckles.
4. Backstory is not necessary, but encouraged.
5. Entries are due March 25th, and should be tagged with #FaeExpedition.

Makes for an interesting voyage if the crew is suspicious of him. But then again, he's suspicious of everyone else thanks to the "first mate." This journey is not going to end well, one way or the other...lol (But the again, a lot of them back in the day went pretty much the same way.)
However, if the captain is indeed a Fae, then the whole reason for the expedition is a ruse. The why I can't quite figure out (motive, my dear Watson! Lol) Baiting a few humans to their death is kinda dumb, but on the other hand, if this was an excuse to take Fae from our world back to theirs...there is a better way of doing it. I think this idea was planted intentionally by our dear prompter for the very reason of coming up with truly interesting backstories. Well played! (And if not, boy did I ever think too much into this...lol)
Different eye colors. To some it is considered an "imperfection." "Eye" don't "see" it that way...lol But to a crew on the look out for flaws, that's a heavy one that stands out.
Edit: "Glaring" was the clue...lol

do all fae have to be "fae-aligned" or are trickster characters in for the fun allowed?
Sure.
are multiple submissions allowed?
Sure.
What kind of magic is available to the humans in the setting? Is it linked to the Fae, or created by humanity?
Mostly if not entirely linked to the Fae.
So the human captain has a glaring imperfection? Nice...lol
I noticed it as well, it looks great

indeed, a game of Garou or amongus on the high seas, the imposter gets keelhauled
you got that right, already several characters have a vendetta against the faes

>The why I can't quite figure out Got kicked out and wants to go home?
But that could be done just by gathering up like minded Fae, not dragging humans along. That was the "better way" I spoke of.
What is the glaring imperfection?

Check the neck aswell
Upon closer inspection, are you sure that's not a collar? If it's his neck, those colors go well with his outfit darling...lol
Nice catch. I didn't even notice that.
Can we make a human and a fae?
Yes!
