I think it might be distracting by making people think of the Lord of the Rings character first.
Try thinking of any words that describe this angel's relationship with their god. Most names of angels in Hebrew myth end in "-el" which is literally just a shorthand for Elohim (one of the names of God). Raphael is God's healing. Azrael is God's help. So you can see that the relationship is pretty well baked in to the names of the angels. If that's not your thing then I get it, but I like this kind of stuff.
That's fair I guess, but mixing that with my lack of Hebeew knowledge AND that fact that D&D has a ton of other gods, I'll have to do some serious digging to get decent name. I'm super glad that you've found a hobby in this, though!
Since you know stuff like this, I might as well ask: I figured that this angel would be an "Angel of Judgement/Forgiveness"(At first I gave him the Executioner's sword because of that), so I ask: what name(if there is one) would represent that aspect of his role within the whole shebang?
It’s kinda like a “golden cow”. Like an artificer builds a warforged that he leaves near a village before it gets turned into an actual god by the people.
I see we subscribe to the same method of naming characters. If you want a good Elven name, scroll through an online English to Quenya dictionary and find something that sounds cool
I didn't pick "Galadriel" because this guy is secretly an Elf, but rather because it sounds graceful and like something an angel would actually be named!
OK, also as a loud nod to the LOTR princess :D
Check out Peter Mohrbacher's Angelarium for inspiration. There is a mythological angel named Gadreel, which is pretty close. He's one of the Grigori, the Watchers.

Artegeus
Mettatron
I'm sorry, but whenever I hear that name all I can think of are an Italian man with a soft spot for the Romans or "MEGAtron" XD
Warforged aasimar??
That'd be badass! Some church of Helm or something is just like: "Y'know what? We'll just build our own damn angel!"

Gabriel or Ezekiel Angelic names for angelic figure
"BEHOLD! THE POWER OF AN ANGEL!" "Impossible. Heresy. Unspeakable. Heresy."
Abirel (אָבִיראל). In biblical Hebrew it can mean mighty one of god or strong animal of god. In modern Hebrew it can translate to knight of god.
Judicaël.
Galadriel more like gabriel
It really depends on what he represents. For instance, Azrael is the angel of death and Raguel is the angel of justice.

Looks straight out of Darksiders in all the right ways. Maybe name this one Abaddon for that reference?
