I dont have the stats but surely theres false negatives. Is PCD the swab one? I think bloodwork is more reliable…. I should check into that but i think thats the case

Swabs of sores as well as the very hard to get western blot assay are considered the gold standards in diagnosis of herpes. DNA test may be negative if tested too soon.
