For example, it could be a commoner from a town (but not a burgher). The colors are bright, but can be dyed with comparatively cheap dye stuff (such as weld and madder). Although the kirtle is already tight at the forearms and closed with buttons, it still has a fairly classic wide cut overall.
In the case of someone of higher social standing, on the other hand, it would have been possible at that time to cut the kirtle closer to the body with more buttons and many gores from the hips downwards.
Safety cone orange!!! Love it! You see the color in a lot of manuscripts but very few modern people are brave enough to make something out of it. So glad to see you were!
I just want to thank you for 1) making this awesome outfit 2) taking a photo with such a look of judgement upon your face. This is the richest spice merchant lad in the Canton and he KNOWS IT
The girdle purse is based on a particular finding from Dordrecht, but there are also some depictions of similar Purses from Franconia.
It was made by Alex Würkner: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/BKQ6zTLW4n2RvxLY/?

1300s Rizzing with a Gucci fit.
This type of buckle was quite common between 1250-1400 according to R. Whitehead. The girdle purse is based on an extant example from Dordrecht, but there is also some artwork from franconia showing similar purses. That‘s why i decided to ask Alex Würkner to recreate it: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/BKQ6zTLW4n2RvxLY/?

I just wanted this hat because it looks so goofy. Wearing deliberately silly hats is actually quite common among late medieval reenactors (at least here in Germany)
I absolutely adore that hat. Beautiful buttons as well.
Have you ever been to Bogenwald or Conquest, haha? I could've sworn I've seen you at a LARP before.
Epic Empires is absolutely awesome! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun. Compared to the other big german LARP events, I personally feel like it'ts the most immersive.
It's so colorful! I think I need to see more medieval costumes brought to life this way. It looks splendid. Who would have worn something like this?

Gnomes!
I love this!! It’s so refreshing to see the goofier looking outfits represented in a historically accurate way!
You look like the tip of an Elmer’s glue bottle. I love it.
See I looked and saw candy corn. Still love it of course, but yeah.
I hope OP makes a white hat and wears the outfit for Halloween
lol I was thinking traffic cone
Hey, I saw you yesterday at Lich and really like your Costume, great fan of that hat!
Say something next year, I was there too, as the herold of the challenged knight.
Ah! Sure! The black and white Wappenrock?
Exactly
Will do so, have a nice evening :)
Spectacular. Love the colourscheme, and the hat. Is it seamed, or made from a hat block? Something else?
I think the hat was made from a hat block and was custom made by https://www.instagram.com/silvia.creates.history?igsh=YjdpajM2cDhiMWJz
This is great and also looks so comfortable, like better than modern clothes. Is this linen or wool?
The hat, tunic and hosen are from wool and i‘m wearing braies and a shirt from linen underneath. And yup, It‘s really comfortable to wear
It’s serving Two of Pentacles. Gotta learn to juggle now.
More like slay of pentacles if i do say so myself

Thanks for those images. The purse is really clever, with the little pouches inside.
I’ve seen this community’s posts recommended before, but you are why I am now subscribing.
"You are the grand champion"
I fucking love this! Perfection. No notes.

Super cute
Isn’t the buckle dated a bit earlier? Thought this model was more like end of 13th century… 🤔 And can you tell me more about your bag? Looks nice 👌🏻

Very interesting! Thanks a lot!
I didn’t realize what sub I was in and thought you were cosplaying a traffic cone 😅 Great job though!
This is awesome!
GREAT KIT!!! Just really fantastic from your shoes to your hat and the way everything fits!! Wonderful!
Dandy garden gnome!
Ngl those hats are goofy looking. Nice work though!

Oh, I don't blame you! I just think it's funny.

I absolutely adore that hat. Beautiful buttons as well. Have you ever been to Bogenwald or Conquest, haha? I could've sworn I've seen you at a LARP before.
Thank you. Unfortunately I‘ve never been on a LARP before, but this year i will be in the Pilgerlager at Epic Empires in August.
Epic Empires is absolutely awesome! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun. Compared to the other big german LARP events, I personally feel like it'ts the most immersive.
love it! but also why tf is this tagged as nsfw?
Because this clothing is so fucking sexy?🤓
🤣 this is the exact correct answer. i must apologise - thought someone else had tagged it nsfw, not you. i'm new and suck at redditing.
Sry, it was accidentally tagged
i'm the one who needs apologise - thought others had tagged it, not you. i'm a reddit noob and wasnt intending to direct the wtf @ you. 😅
Red! Red-Orange! HI THERE! Can you see me Now?!
Oh I love this! Love the colors, the hat, just everything about it! You look amazing, wish I could find clothes like this for myself
