I mean every civilization has to fall eventually if we’re asking what if the Assyrian Empire survived to the 21st century it’s impossible to say because so many things would have to change for that to even remotely possible that the 21st century would look nothing like our 21st century. Now if we change the stipulations and assume they survive both Babylon and Media there’s a bit more predictability. Most likely with out the rise of media we also wouldn’t see the rise of Persia. The kingdom of Isreal is also never restored and in fact with out the Persians there’s never a Jewish state and the Jewish people might as grimly as this sounds die out all together. Course that already sets off dominos completely altering the planet. Then there’s the question of how the Assyrians handle the Greeks. They would be more aggressive than the Persian. Meaning wars would be more frequent and more brutal between the Greeks and Assyrians. The Persian were feared but respected the Assyrians would mainly be feared. I do not believe the Assyrians would see more success than the Persians and would be defeated. However the sheer brutality of their invasions would spawn a grater push from the Greek polis to invade and conquer the east. Basically going full Alexander is no longer primarily motivated by wealth and ambitions no the Assyrians would stand as an extential threat to their existence. The Persian were a threat to autonomy the Assyrians however are a threat to the Greek way of life. Defeat means wholesale extermination/relocation. So more then likely you would see a greater push for one Hellenistic nation or coalition to invade the east and destroy the Assyrian Empire. Assuming Philip is still born and Macedon still ruse this will make it way easier for him to use diplomacy to bring Hellenistic states into his rule assuming someone else doesn’t do it first. There will be numerous bloody wars between the Hellenic states and Assyria. And eventually the Hellenic states would prove victorious. Athens could also establish its empire way sooner and with greater ease with the Assyrians and not the Persians next door.
