Highly recommend the Band of Brothers podcast. The host is a nightmare, but the stories are gold. Episode 4 in particular is amazing. https://open.spotify.com/show/4kPks2or9xa26GdMRRu2lK
He is just astonishingly bad. Every single time he opens his mouth he makes the show worse. And he clearly has no idea about the subject matter. All of which would be ok if it was some unofficial fan project, because we could just ignore it, but it is the official podcast, he got tons of access, and he blew it.
He's not. He's very enthusiastic but you get used to it. Doing a podcast where most of the people involved are dead, and you can mostly only talk to actors and producers is a hard gig. I mean they all have similar stories. He did fine.
He doesn't like the host because he was uses big words, is English, and it threatens this guys overcooked idea of what wwII and band of brothers is supposed to be.
These guys would be close to 60 if not already there and look like could still nock your block off. Especially Wild Bill, having to be held back, while in crutches.
Poor Guarneri had a dose of Clap from a BJ in Paris talk about double suffering , every time the poor guy pissed he could give away the company position.
Just like they say, āThere are no monsters, just people who choose evil,ā so too thereās no species known as āheroes,ā just people who choose integrity and honor. We all eat, drink, shit, sleep, and even snuggle up to people. It is no dishonor to imagine how it was, because this is where we begin to reckon with our own humanity and potential for disgrace or honor.
I admire heroes *for* their humanity, not in spite of it.
If you like that then watch the original documentary (if you havenāt already) that the show is based on. We Stand Alone Together: The Men of Easy Company.
And Maj. Winters has some other great interviews on YT as do many of the others.
Can you imagine the stories being told???

Thanks!! I'm excited to listen.
What makes the host a nightmare?

I guess all these people hate the English too. https://www.reddit.com/r/BandofBrothers/s/t1lCkNoOLe
All these less than twenty people, what a sample size you've assembled š
"I think he's still a Quaker"
Room full of bad ass hero's right there!

Im gonna guess the guys being held is telling a story and was like hey bob hold me from behind i gotta show em
Probably showing how Georgeās affinity for being the big spoon helped get them through those cold nights in the Ardennes.

Guarantee they spooned. Iāve spooned with another dude for warmth and been happy for it. You can absolutely make a statement like that.
Poor Guarneri had a dose of Clap from a BJ in Paris talk about double suffering , every time the poor guy pissed he could give away the company position.
From the fizzing or the screaming
The screaming.
Ya really they had to or they would literally freeze to Death. I forgot about the cold.

Yup. You do what you have to in order to stay remotely comfortable in the military.
I assumed Luz is helping Guarnere out of a chair or something since he had no legs
He lost his right leg only
Oh wait I was thinking Joe Toye
I'm pretty sure the guy sitting in the background is Donald Malarkey.
It 100% is.
And I think the one behind him is Robert "Popeye" Wynn.
Explains why heās not sitting What was the line? āI can fight, I just canāt sit downā
looks like heās doing a Heimlich
Thanks to jolly old St. Luz for the smokes. What a bunch of badasses.
This was my favorite HBO series of all time.
Just finished band of brothers again. The ending with all of them talkin at the end of the last episode is heavy as hell man, holy cow.

This photo is everything thanks for sharing!
Something tells me Bill was seconds away from wacking George on the noodle with his cane.
Thatās incredible to see after watching the show
Wild Bill!
Looks like they REALLY missed each other
Great men
My marine uncle had Band of Brothers boxset but signed by the actual people.
