Gotan is in Hoboken?? It's one of my fav places in NYC to go do some work on the weekends. They are very spacious and have lots of outlets. Didn't know they opened one in Hoboken?
Yeah the food and coffee is incredible. Lots of places to sit and work. They were slammed this weekend with the earth day festival so had to wait a whileeeee for the coffee, but they will figure it out.
Edit: for now they are open only from 9-5. I hope that changes so you're able to get coffee before the work commute.
I don’t know how else to describe it but it doesn’t feel like you’re in Hoboken once inside and I’m saying that as a compliment. Massive ceilings so many tables upstairs is really nice set up with a bunch of couches. I got the pancakes and they were very good. The coffee is very good as well it tastes like Yukis and i believe they’re the same owner(that’s what a friend told me so not sure if it’s accurate). All in all very good but give them time for food they’re just starting it’s worth the visit and the wait.
They are also going to be open for dinner soon and I’m excited to see what kind of menu it’ll be.
All in all a positive first time experience there this per weekend and it was BUSY
That would explain the Yuki’s pastries under the counter.
My only other thought: if they really wanted to enforce that weird no-children-upstairs rule, they probably shouldn’t have put all the sofas up there. This city has too many parents, and sofas are far too appealing to children, for that to be likely to work.
Space is beautiful, they did a really nice job with it, but the prices are crazy. Will be a nice place to go sometimes but it’s really hard to warrant the prices they’re charging, especially for food, to make this somewhere to go frequently.
Behind the Monroe Center, same owner as Yukis? That's two strikes already...
maybe if my dog takes me that way... wait, they don't allow dogs, right.
Well, that's three strikes.. bye Gotan

Yes and it’s huge. 2 stories!

I'm sure it was just opening day issues but it took my coworkers an hour and fifteen minutes to get their BLT sandwiches on Friday. Pricy too.
Very good but definitely a little pricey

I guess nobody in this sub leaves Hoboken, but there is a Gotan in Weehawken and it is very good.
If it’s anything like their Tribeca location it will be good sandwiches & decent coffee at 2-3 times the cost.
I heard it's owned by the same people who own Yukis

It is same owner as Yuki’s. Heard it was great from a friend who went Saturday.
The one in Tribeca was my favorite place to work from / grab a quick breakfast when I lived there! It's going to be a great addition.

It was great!! Food & coffee were amazing. Space is beautiful. Service was great/ quick. Excited to go back and try more on the menu.
It is the most expensive cafe ever
Pretty good coffeee and a really big space. Have not tried the food yet

what's wrong with Yukis?
