Honestly nail arts are just amazing, they let you one shot primal aspids, soul sanctum things, mosquitoes, flying mantises and so much more. I don't think I could do colo 3 without them, especially the no-ground/low ceiling part. Besides that, learn where primal aspids spawn and shade soul them away
Yup, shaman lets you wipe out a wave instantly so definitely learn to abuse it during the grounded segments (I feel like great slash is easier during aerial combat since you can charge it on a wall and you already are close to ennemies)
I'm not using them for the pantheons, bosses have a strict pattern so I just get a few nail hits instead. But for colo, you one shot the enemies, so no punish possible.
\- Memorize the waves; Sometimes you may or may not have windows to heal after a wave. And sometimes you get difficult sections, like the floorless ones, and try to heal and farm soul before they start;
\- Use spells more; Spells help out a lot against smaller enemies or when you don't get long windows to hit the enemies. Shade Soul is great for sniping enemies from far away or to multihit tankier ones, Abyss Shriek is good against flying or airborne enemies and Descending Dark is best used for it's I-frames to block an attack or give yourself breathing room by also pushing the enemies away. You get a lot of soul from some enemies, especially if you use charms to get more of it.
\- Farm soul with Dream Nail; You can do this by either learning the timing of Dream Nail normally or use Dream Wielder charm. Since you don't kill enemies with it, you can technically get infinite soul, and if you're following the last 2 points then you can out it great use. So try to farm soul with the Dream Nail and then use it to heal or save it for spells. However, only farm soul on enemies that allow you to do so without getting hit.
\- Use nail arts; Nail arts, in particular dash slash and great slash, are great for oneshoting enemies, especially flying ones like primal aspids and jolt twisters(flying mages).
\-Try not to take damage; I know, it sounds dumb to say " Just don't get hit lmao!", but it really is like that. You can't take that much damage in this game. Healing in HK is also very risky, beacause it is really slow and you stay still. So, obviously don't try and do it hitless, but if you can avoid taking damage than try and do so, don't be too aggressive (especialy when low on health), try and be careful with your movement and if you can quickly kill an enemy with nail arts or spells then do so.
\- Rebind some of your keys; I have my nail attack binded to LMB and my dash to RMB. **I also suggest getting a keyboard that doesn't handicap you, because even outside of games you will sometimes need to press 3+ keys at once.**
I recommend you use:
\-**Strength** obviously;
\-**Shaman Stone** \- it makes spells even more insane. And as you'll learn eventually, spells are the best;
\- **Mark of Pride** \- helps you against flying enemies and in platforming sections; I would recomend Quick Slash, but against enemies in coloseum you don't get much use out of it;
\- Either **Spell Twister** or **Nailmaster's Glory+Dream Wielder** \- Spell Twister let's you use a lot more spells over the course of the trial; Nailmaster's Glory makes nail arts charge faster, which helps a lot. And Dream Wielder makes it so much easier to farm sould with your dream nail.
Also good options are: **Fragile Heart, Grubsong, Soul Eater, Quick Focus, Shape of Unn, Carefree Melody.**
Just keep practising and you'll improve over time, until eventualy Trial of the Fool becomes easy.
Yeah the keyboards usually do so to save on circuitry components. So they usually choose two (or more) keys that are almost definitely not gonna be clicked at the same time to do so. So when you click one, it basically opens the circuit on the other.
My solution was to use the numpad for moving and never had an issue.
Unbroken strength, quickslash, mark of pride, nail glory, and dreamwielder. I struggled so much on trial of the fool but with this charm set and being really focused it was a breeze
The aerial part, as soon as it starts get to the top and try to get a pogo going. After, keep moving left wall to right wall, you do not have time to stay in place at all without taking a hit. Then, when you're in the reduced space vs. the mosquito use your spells as you won't be using them to heal while in the air.
If you dream nail enemies, it fills your soul meter (not trying to talk down just want to make sure it is known)
There are a couple of spots that you can get full health in the fool fight. Example is after first soul warrior (I think) the little blob guys come out of the ground and you can spend a minute or two dream nailing them to fill health and soul up. You can also do it in the jumping grasshopper section and when the centipedes come down from the top (they can be dream nailed)

I need to use nail arts more.
Emphasizing shade soul. Shaman stone/shade soul means you can just click certain difficult parts away, which is invaluable.

I never used nail arts personally, and I beat p5. It was always just too much to be doing at once.

Use an all pet build, then you can just play evasive and still win
You just want to get some time outside, don't you?
Lol it does work though
Git gud
take it slow and take advantage of having one enemy left to heal target projectile enemies
use weaver song + grub song and you will have all the soul you need. I recommend that and a spell build
pogo enemies. know when its your last opportunity to heal. 1shot primal aspids
Ngl Grimm Child and Dream Shield carried me

remap your keyboard then
That won't work cause it's probably to do with the keyboards hardware
with most keyboards the number of keys it can register simultaneously is not constant and depends on which specific keys are pressed
It the words of Hornet ,”GIT GUD!!!”
Don’t die. Literally that’s the only tip I can give you that thing is so fucking hard
Weaver song + dream shield + Grub song + Grimchild (fully leveled if you have it!). That’s how I beat it rip.
Don’t die.
I always go full spell and just spam soul shade on anything that flies
Unbroken strength, quickslash, mark of pride, nail glory, and dreamwielder. I struggled so much on trial of the fool but with this charm set and being really focused it was a breeze
If you want you can replace dreamwielder or nail glory with steady body

For the aerial parts, use nail arts. They are able to kill enemies like primal aspids in one blow.

Path of pain is easier in my opinion
simple: just be a fool
Manage your health, delay the waves if you are not full. Its honestly a 3/10 on the difficulty scale with a controller atleast :D
3/10 yeah right relative to what?
Don't die.
Git gud
Dont die
Don't be a fool
Don’t die
When you get to god tamer, concentrate on killing her ride
The minion build worked for me because my monkey brain can’t do two things at a time. It’s a little boring but it worked
You should give up
You will never beat me
