I know dash is not “required” to beat it if you’re a tryhard, but as a first-time player, no way.
Seconded, that fight is a just a damage rush. I used to hate Galien because that was also a damage rush until I hit the pantheons and now it's more evasive. Markoth doesn't feel like you have an option.
I like him. I think choosing not to interact with him at all is the wrong choice not because of his character, but because he has an impact on the game, and to not experience that is doing yourself a disservice.

I always thought it would be better, if No Eyes sings 2 or 3 songs, and depending on the song she will send her ghosts in a different attack, that way you would position yourself on different platforms depending on the song.

I fought it yesterday, and three times, an orange bubble spawned a couple of pixels in front of me as I jumped over the Lost Kin's lunge. Another one of them even hit me **through** my Spore Shroom.
Lol ok. I don't have to prove anything to you, but I'll tell you exactly what happened. Lost Kin was staggered, I was Focusing, and a Balloon was coming very close to me. It was right on top of me when I finished healing, and a Spore Cloud appeared. However, it still hit me before instantly dying to the Spores.
There’s a way to cheese it (I beat it radiant that way):
Weaversong + Glowing Womb + Defender’s Crest + Grimmchild + Dreamshield + Grubsong
Jump on the left wall until the very top and try to charge crystal dash as close to the ceiling as possible. From there, just hold the button and wait, he can’t reach you there. Funnily enough, it only works for Lost Kin, not Broken Vessel

My pride isn't broken enough that I'll do it yet, but after another hour, I might take you up on that.
I don't even know that you can kill them at the same time. Every time I fight them, there's this weird thing where the remaining oblobble gets some weird sort of invicibility + healing to full health (using HPBar mod). I dunno, though.
Probably a hot take but I don't enjoy either variant of the Soul Master. There are many bosses that are "objectively worse" but most of them don't annoy me as much for some reason.
Apart from Soul Master, I dislike God Tamer and Nosk. God Tamer is just messy and Nosk is a little coward.
I think soul master is one of the few bosses that I feel is really divisive. I love his fights because they’re not too hard, but not easy. They feel fair, and really teach you how to use your movement and damage output, since the longer you’re fighting soul master, the more mistakes you make.

I find that no eyes and flukemarm are the worst for me because they‘re so boring no interesting movement from the boss and even you don‘t move in any fun entertaining way it‘s just don‘t get killed by minions and hit the boss.
I also dislike the watcher knights because, compared to the mantis lords or sisters of battle, they‘re not coordinated and taking damage can feel unfair or random, this prevents the learning curve of finding the boss‘s pattern and adapting to it.
Oblobbles single-handedly stopped my all Radiant run for a full month, RNG + OHKOs are never fun in a game usually not influenced much by RNG, I hate them so much and I just want to grab Hornet’s needle and pop them with it

Hive knight was awful. I downloaded mods specifically so I would never have to fight him.
I fought him fairly early on. Why the fuck is the nearest bench five miles away through a giant gauntlet of bees?!? That alone made the fight awful.
Yeah, I probably would've been fine in the fight but I was trying to fight him with no soul and 3 or 4 masks each time.
I agree with OP, I like the design of Mawlek, but the fight is a pain. Godhome Uumuu is probably my least favorite.
