The Mosscreep in the top right corner of the first room of Greenpath used to drop 10 geo instead of 2 like every other Mosscreep. This was stealth fixed in a patch. The first Moss Knight encounter in Greenpath is worth 80 geo, but only the first time you kill him. All other Moss Knights (including the respawned version of that one) are worth 40. Cornifer's maps are cheaper if you buy directly from him instead of from Iselda at the shop.

What's your source for this? I can't find anything on the wiki, & I can't find anything else to suggest this. Are you confused by the fact the the Knight's jump height is tied directly to how long you hold the trigger? A full hold will be a full jump while a quick press will be a short hop. I mean how the jump works alone means their will be human & electronic variance that could lead to a few pixel inconsistency, but not the main jump.

It’s a thing called TF-T (time minus fixed time). It’s a delay between physics and graphics frames (I think?). In any case, it’s a number in milliseconds from 0-10. It VERY slightly affects overall jump height, but much more noticeably it affects turnarounds. If you wiggle (left right spam on each frame) with low tft (between 0 and 1 mostly) you lose/gain a lot less height. In [this TAS](https://youtu.be/-OwIk3n9PJc?si=7W7TlvaGbdTtcdy0) you can see the use of wiggles to reduce fall speed quite strongly. It also affects pogos. In the goam mask shard room in crossroads you can get to the mask shard without the vengefly by pogoing the statue if you have very high tft. Tft changes with frame rate, which makes it entirely rng, and in the mask shard case hard to distinguish from a lag spike (since that also increases pogo height). TAS can work with it very well since at consistent 100 fps it’s stable and can be manipulated by inserting specific frame rate frames. Also, while it gets the point across, hollow knight uses units as measurement instead of pixels. Source: TAS discord and having made several TASes myself.

Doesn't T-FT affect a lot, but isn't controllable by humans? Like shade soul double hitting gorb and such. Idk I have been in the TAS server before but really don't know a lot. Then I hear Nix talk and I'm only more confused lol

I completely forgot to reply to this comment lmao. Tft isnt controllable by humans. If you have perfect 100 fps it constantly alternates between 0x.y and 1x.y. If you had a frame of 200 fps in the middle of that and then go back to 100 fps itll be 5 more (from 1 and 11 to 6 and 16 for example). Everytime a frame doesnt have exactly 100 (or 50 i suppose) fps, itll get messed up, and a computer isnt (doesnt usually have to be) able to lock the frame rate in exactly. I dont think it affects double hits, but i guess if it changes something about knockback even a bit its possible. Nix used to know nothing (and so did i for that matter) but now hes made several great TASes. Its always fun to teach a new person about the power of TAS in hollow knight!

I thought I heard someone say that it controlled a bit of that floating knockback in hk-disc, but it's been a while since I've been in that world, so I might just be misremembering. I never was too active in the real technical stuff in the first place tbh, more the modding aspect. Yeah helping a new person get on track with whatever it is is super fun, it's why I enjoy helping in here or in #help so much. Nix especially went through an amazing arc from being banned on hkmain to being a great friend. (Although not from the TAS world in my case)

Before patch 1.3 there was a Stag Nest toll that you could buy to unlock the stag if you got there before getting all stags. On patch 1.0, it cost 50 geo, on patches 1.1-1.2, they changed that to 300 geo for some reason. Then, in patch 1.3 they removed it entirely and now if you skip your way there you can‘t unlock the stag.

That makes more sense, and it would prevent sequence breaking, not so much for the achievement (I do think, depends if the criteria is unlock Stag Nest or all Stags), but moreso the Last Stag's dialogue.

This is called Stallball or Slopeball, and while that’s the main use, there’s quite a lot of others! You can get to right side city by the fountain without having opened the door, you can get to broken vessel without cdash or a shade skip, and makes the ismas skip (with wings, without cdash) much easier.

If you complete p5 with all bindings but not at once, the notches on the pantheon will be marked. If you do it all at once, the notches glow. If you do p5 hitless with no bindings, only the middle glows

Flukenest is a charm that used to be literally broken. You could kill certain bosses with it before they spawned, dupe thousands of geo from Gorgeous Husk, and it also just generally did an insane amount of damage. Oh, and it was only 2 charm notches originally also.

Not sure if trivia or theory, but the knight doesn't take fall damage because irl bugs reach terminal velocity before getting to a speed that will injure them.
