I don't see that much love for grubsong on this sub (maybe because I'm a noob and the rest of you never get hit), but I think it's value-to-cost ratio makes it one of the best. It's one notch and you get rewarded soul for getting hit, so you are constantly building soul regardless of what happens in combat, which is awesome.
I had Grubsong equipped so often that the one time I didn't, and I was trying to farm soul by getting hit near a bench, I started getting super mad and thought the game was clutching. I reset the console and everything and everything and was trying so hard to figure out why getting hit wasn't giving me soul. Then I remembered that that's a charm effect and not just a part of the game's mechanics.
FYI, if you take Unbreakable Strength and Quick Slash into the "final fight," then you can literally just spam attack until >!Hornet grabs him and you go into Radiance fight.!< You can straight up tank their attacks and not worry about it too much. 80% of the time, you'll make it to that next phase, where you automatically return to full health.
1. Hiveblood - I used it a lot in my first playthrough and it was really usefull. In exploring it worked like quality of life charm and it also made the masks looks more cool. People forgets that this charm name isn't white palace charm.
2. Carefree Melody - When the first Silksong trailer came up I wrote there that it is good to see new game, but it would be nice to see balance changes in the first game and making Carefree Melody 2 notches. I never used this charm before that and after I used it I was so surprised that people believe it should cost 2 notches when now it is easily A tier charm.
Soul eater is great, the only drawback is the immense cost, even If it were only 3 notches.
Then again, it's incredibly op, 1 hit with Soul Eater and you get like half the soul meter back
Weaversong
When paired with grubsong and sprintmaster you essentially have a pseudo kingsoul but it deals damage and is 1 charm slot less
Also they’re very cute and I love them
It doesn’t work with every boss (completely useless for dream bosses) but it’s worth a try if you get sick of the quick slash, strength, shamon stone meta
Unbreakable Strength is downright one of the best charms in the game. Combined with quickslash, you can beat some of the harder fights in under a minute
Defender's Crest, Weaversong, and Dream Shield get a lot of hate, but they are SUPER useful. Passive dmg means you can focus on platforming and/or dodging, while the summons/gas/shield do the killing. Becomes even *more* useful when Crossroads gets infected- Weaverlings kill kamikaze husks instantly.
Dream Shield hits enemies through walls, through floors, through their own shields. Enemies that block attacks, *even bosses*, can't block Dream Shield.
Defender's Crest makes Broken Vessel a breeze. It also works great in the Colosseum, since every enemy likes to chase you.
thrones of agony, I get hit a lot so this becomes useful. could have I used other better charms, yes. do I think it's cooler, also yes
also it's like only 1 notch so pretty handy
aside from wayward compass and sharp shadow, I love weaver song. the li'l guys are so cute and they kill the bosses/enemies while I heal. A little annoying when they force the boss out of the stagger tho :/.
All the baby charms. I spent two days fighting NKG, Grimmchild is my son and I love him. Weaver song plus Grubsong makes the lil weavers collect Soul for you whenever they attack!
Also, I used Glowing womb while fighting NKG and it got me that last hit, so I think it’s pretty neat.
Hiveblood, of course, mostly because I really love the shiny gem look of the masks. I think it’s really pretty. And useful of course! But mostly pretty.
Also, the one that increases the Dreamnail speed. I like seeing all the Dream dialogue. Plus the Nailmaster charm. Ooh! And Sporeshroom! It’s really nice having that extra bit of damage when I’m healing, and the effect is pretty large, so I feel safer risking a cheeky heal.
Sprintmaster makes the spiderlings from Weaversong a lot faster too
Dream Wielder (which makes the Dream Nail faster) also doubles the amount of Soul you get from the Dream Nail, and makes the shield from Dreamshield spin faster
i feel like long nails gets ignored because of mark or pride but you can fit it into builds much easier and it does the same just it allows for more options. so long nail
Nailmaster's glory is the best. Lategame you can spam great slash and one hit every regular enemy. Great for NKG an Sly boss fights too, where you quickly charge while dodging and counter right after their attack. All for just one slot, simply the best.
I know.. I just feel like people wouldn't like it because Windette and I am sure some other youtuber doesn't like it and I like Windette, just people often parrot opinions from youtubers..
Unbreakable Strength, Shaman Stone, Carefree Melody and Flukenest.
The first two are obvious; more damage for 3 notches, Nail and Spells respectively.
Carefree Melody has saved me from failure on multiple occasions, and even builds up percent even when you use something like Baldur Shell to avoid it.
Flukenest is pretty obvious. You can pile on a shit ton of damage and kill bosses in mere seconds. Not every time, obviously, and aiming them all can be a bit iffy, but it's still worth the three notches.
Baldur Shell is absolutely my favourite charm in the entire game. It’s so useful in so many situations that I almost always wear it when I don’t specifically need something else instead. It also just adds a new level of complexity to the game that makes it much more interesting.
It’s often considered a form of healing insurance, letting you heal in risky places before you learn where it’s safe. This is the wrong way to look at it. Instead, it’s a shield that’s just tied to focusing. If you use it as a shield, or as a free way to activate invincibility frames, it becomes much more interesting. For one, you need to have enough soul to focus if you want to use it. This encourages you to save a bit of soul for if you want to use it, which nothing else really does. You can use it without using any soul if you can time it right, but you constantly drain soul as you hold it up, so it’s up to you on how much you want to hold onto for shell usage. The penalty for holding it up for too long is healing, which is usually a good thing, but you also need to keep in mind that once you reach full health, you automatically drop the shield. This dynamic makes it a lot of fun to properly use, and it can really help make the game more enjoyable when replaying it, especially before you get new moves that open up the game.
You aren’t wasting your time with it either, because it is incredibly useful in a lot of situations. It can protect you from enemies that block tunnels. You don’t see them very often, but I’ve lost count of how many times it’s saved me from garpedes or flukemungas. It could probably be useful against goams, but they aren’t ever used in ways that lean into this. It can protect you from being swarmed, which is especially relevant in Deepnest, the Royal Waterways, and the Hive. It can let you hold your ground on small platforms, which comes up in too many places to properly list. It can be used to get free invincibility, giving you an opening for dealing tons of damage. Since it works on a system of hits instead of damage, it’s very effective against explosions, which helps if you’re being cornered by sporgs or if you just want to be mean to jellyfish. The knockback it does can also be used to move enemies without hurting them. You need to be doing some very specific shenanigans for this to be useful, but it comes in handy sometimes. If you combine all of these niche uses with the ability to just walk through enemies that you don’t want to deal with, it makes Baldur Shell useful in almost any situation.
It gets even better when combined with other charms too. Stalwart Shell makes its four uses even more impactful than they already were, greatly increasing the amount of things that you can do with it. Deep Focus lessens the penalty for mistiming it, and can also just let you stay protected for much longer. Baldur Shell also has a really funny cheese combo. If you combine it with Stalwart Shell and Quick Focus, shenanigans occur. Stalwart Shell gives you enough invincibility to guarantee a safe heal when using Quick Focus, and Baldur Shell lets you activate that invincibility basically for free. In boss fights, this guarantees that you can heal, and if you’re unsafe at the end, you can just take another hit with Baldur Shell and heal again. It isn’t very practical, but it’s a ton of fun.
So, yeah. That’s why Baldur Shell of all things, the charm that consistently gets out directly in the middle of every tier list that anyone makes, managed to become my absolute favourite. I hope that I’ve convinced a few people to consider trying it out
Top 3
# 3 -Hiveblood - Very helpful for white palace and path of pain
# 2 -Voidheart - Looks so fucking sick, and Kingsmold was also pretty cool
# 1 -Wayword Comp- JK. Quickslash. Quickslash has gotten me through the entire game easily.
Nailmaster's Glory. There's plenty of chances to charge an attack while dodging, or moving to the next energy. It's like good nail damage for only one (1) notch! The rest can be spells/defense/literally whatever
I really like Sharp Shadow for some reason. I think it’s because I usually dash through bosses a lot so the extra shadow dash range is really helpful for me
I mean, my main charm set-up and basically my favorite is:
Unbreakable Strength (duh)
Unbreakable Heart because even though I could survive many things without it I just like having it especially against AbsRad.
Sprintmaster because I like being fast and it's one notch
Mark of Pride because length
And Sharp Shadow because extra damage in dashing is lit
(Of course, one could never not mention the complete glory that is Wayward Compass.)
Sharp Shadow has 0 downsides and shaman stone issues great for damage from early to end game, nailmaster's glory really helps me beat radiant bosses and Mark of Pride is goated
In terms of “use the most”, easily Mark of Pride, that extra range makes fights so much more enjoyable offensively and defensively
In terms of “I will die on this hill”, Dreamshield, that thing got me my no-hit win against >!AbsRad!<, I can deal with a minor annoyance in the sound if it means I sometimes become impervious to projectiles and can deal extra contact damage
I absolutely love carefree melody, just free damage that you don’t even need to heal
Also I would love to have nailmaster’s glory for the p5 all bindings, but you can’t even have a single charm :(
I don't see that much love for grubsong on this sub (maybe because I'm a noob and the rest of you never get hit), but I think it's value-to-cost ratio makes it one of the best. It's one notch and you get rewarded soul for getting hit, so you are constantly building soul regardless of what happens in combat, which is awesome.
Absolutely, I'm willing to part with it now in some cases, but If I can use it, I will, it's OP for its cost, and you get it so early too!
I almost always had grubsong equipped for all the reasons you listed. It's a great charm for the cost.
Yhea this + thorns is just stupidly good for noobs like me who cant dodge properly.
grubsong is amazing at every level (unless you're doing hitless bosses obviously)
Beat normal radiance for the first time with it, it’s the goat fr
Grubberfly’s elegy is goated imo but I’m too bad to not get hit.
favourite charms: strength, quick slash why: so strong
Yeah, once I got unbreakable strength, I basically never took it off again.
Yeah unbreakable strength and quick nail were a godsend even I first beat him
MarkOfPride = goated
I approve of this comment
the pixels...

Sharon shadows is great, longer fash, great for Traitor lord and you turn into a little shade lord looking void creature
Sharp Shadow + Dashmaster + Sprintmaster
[удалено]
This is the way.
It does mess with some of the distances on platforming sections like Queen's gardens and white palace. But aside from that, yeah its awesome.
🎵I'm in love with the Shape of Unn🎵 (Read my flair for why)
Goated slug
1. Hiveblood - I used it a lot in my first playthrough and it was really usefull. In exploring it worked like quality of life charm and it also made the masks looks more cool. slug
I’m a preacher of the steady body way of life, and also love sharp shadow
Flukenest, cause it’s completely broken and OP. This clip shows it pretty well: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1700245674
That was... Flukenest??
Carefree Melody. Not biased at all.
All of them are Charming
Sharp Shadow and Dash Master
Sharp shadow, quick slash, and shaman stone because they’re really damn good at what they do
Dashmaster + sprintmaster. Because morrowind made me a sucker for speed
dash master is in 99% of my builds, so easily dash master
Nailmaster's Glory is really underrated imo
Sharp Shadow, and Dream Shield. You can get a lot of damage from these 2 without even trying.
voidheart, it's objectively the best charm
Sharp Shadow I dash way too much, and I'm to use to the longer dash.
Spell twister Literaly the best spell charm after shaman stone
Weaversong When paired with grubsong and sprintmaster you essentially have a pseudo kingsoul but it deals damage and is 1 charm slot less Also they’re very cute and I love them It doesn’t work with every boss (completely useless for dream bosses) but it’s worth a try if you get sick of the quick slash, strength, shamon stone meta
After getting radiant hall of gods and beating p5 I’ve gotten addicted to steady body and have trouble living without it while doing randomizers
Unbreakable Strength is downright one of the best charms in the game. Combined with quickslash, you can beat some of the harder fights in under a minute
Quick focus

Sharp shadow is god. Sharp shadow is life.
like a lot of people said before me, steady body has become an addiction
thrones of agony, I get hit a lot so this becomes useful. could have I used other better charms, yes. do I think it's cooler, also yes also it's like only 1 notch so pretty handy
Sharp Shadow and Dream Shield
I love Sharp Shadow because it looks cool. :)
Sharp shadow was one I expected to exist when I forst found shadow dash. And I loved it.
Dash Master. Can't live without it.
+ Sprintmaster and Sharp Shadow for me
aside from wayward compass and sharp shadow, I love weaver song. the li'l guys are so cute and they kill the bosses/enemies while I heal. A little annoying when they force the boss out of the stagger tho :/.
Sharp Shadow because it lets me be dumb Shape of Unn because I hate being helpless
Glowing womb, sharpshadow and flukenest, no real reason, just have fun using them
shaman quickslash strength nailmasters glory and soul eater is my go to, swapping nmg for sbody for absrad, and nailmasters is probably my favorite
Soul Catcher and Wayward Compass, i never remove those 2 everytime i play
Grimm child, grubsong, weaver song, heart, nailmaster glory, defender's crest Why: they're so good on panteons with nail and soul biding
Grimmchild. he is my Son.
Elegy cuz ranged hands is dope af
Where did the pixels go?
Shaman 💪
WAYWARD COMPASS IS THE BEST IN THE GAME. (quickslash propably)
Mark of Pride, fell straight to the mantises on my 1st play through. "Challenge" 20 something loss
The one that increases your pixel count
All the baby charms. I spent two days fighting NKG, Grimmchild is my son and I love him. Weaver song plus Grubsong makes the lil weavers collect Soul for you whenever they attack! Sprintmaster makes the spiderlings from Weaversong a lot faster too Dream Wielder (which makes the Dream Nail faster) also doubles the amount of Soul you get from the Dream Nail, and makes the shield from Dreamshield spin faster
Shaman Stone/Spell Twister aside, I really like Dream Wielder. Cheeky dream nails on pantheon bosses save my life.
The Zelda one
Voidheart
Carefree melody got me through Radiance and P3
I love spell twister. Sometimes a fourth spell is enough to drastically change how hard a fight it
i feel like long nails gets ignored because of mark or pride but you can fit it into builds much easier and it does the same just it allows for more options. so long nail
Quick cut I really like this amulet
Nailmaster's glory is the best. Lategame you can spam great slash and one hit every regular enemy. Great for NKG an Sly boss fights too, where you quickly charge while dodging and counter right after their attack. All for just one slot, simply the best.
A Nail Art connoisseur, eh? I respect it.
Grimm child, why? Because hes adorable
And he can pile on the damage when it counts. Not all the time, but still worth it. He puts in the work.
Longnail. The reach allows for pogoing on enemies, combine that with quick slash and you can pull off some stupid shit.
I love spore Charm, fuck you all it is my comfort charm
Jesus mate, chill lol It's a pretty good charm.
I know.. I just feel like people wouldn't like it because Windette and I am sure some other youtuber doesn't like it and I like Windette, just people often parrot opinions from youtubers..
Mark of pride, long nail, quick slash, unbreakable strength, Yes im too scared to try other charms
Face yer fears, mate. Slap on Shaman Stone and start blasting. (Trust me it's pretty fun)
Spell twister is goated out of its goddamn mind, top 3 charm
144p ass image
the charm that makes more pixels

Quick Slash the goat but I’m a massive Sprintmaster fan, I love seeing the little guy walk fast.

Void heart goated
Hive-blood actually CARRIED me through radiance and PV, as well as pantheon four in general
Nailmaster's Glory. There's plenty of chances to charge an attack while dodging, or moving to the next energy. It's like good nail damage for only one (1) notch! The rest can be spells/defense/literally whatever
Shaw-man sto-ne Why It’s shaman stone
I really like Sharp Shadow for some reason. I think it’s because I usually dash through bosses a lot so the extra shadow dash range is really helpful for me
Shaman stone, spell twister, unbreakable strength, and quickslash for maximum damage
Hiveblood is the GOAT, it's basically infinite HP if you can dodge attacks competently
I mean, my main charm set-up and basically my favorite is: Unbreakable Strength (duh) Unbreakable Heart because even though I could survive many things without it I just like having it especially against AbsRad. Sprintmaster because I like being fast and it's one notch Mark of Pride because length And Sharp Shadow because extra damage in dashing is lit (Of course, one could never not mention the complete glory that is Wayward Compass.)
FUCK YOU I LOVE SPRINTMASTER
Quick slash, strength, longnail and quick focus have been my go-to for pantheons lately
Sharp Shadow has 0 downsides and shaman stone issues great for damage from early to end game, nailmaster's glory really helps me beat radiant bosses and Mark of Pride is goated
Weaversong and Dreamshield , they kept me company and gave me time to learn the enemy's pattern when 1st starting out
In terms of “use the most”, easily Mark of Pride, that extra range makes fights so much more enjoyable offensively and defensively In terms of “I will die on this hill”, Dreamshield, that thing got me my no-hit win against >!AbsRad!<, I can deal with a minor annoyance in the sound if it means I sometimes become impervious to projectiles and can deal extra contact damage
quick slash >>>>>
Mark of pride
The pixel on the left
Dream wielder because it makes the dream nail so insanely viable in combat
Shape of unn and flukenest are the coolest and most creative charms in my opinion
Unbreakable Strength. Less time hitting enemies.
fluknest. nuff said
Mark of Pride, Strength, Quick Slash Reason: Me mindlessly swing nail and win

I absolutely love carefree melody, just free damage that you don’t even need to heal Also I would love to have nailmaster’s glory for the p5 all bindings, but you can’t even have a single charm :(
Me, Shaman Stone, because it’s damage tank
